Victoria's POV
The remnants of Caligo's havoc in Zenith broke my heart. Zane was right; the place I love the most and where I grew up is no longer the place I knew. It became lifeless, and I haven't seen a single person in the city aside from us.
My body trembled as I imagined how Caligo ruined my hometown and killed many innocent lives. He burned the casualties, and he even killed my best friend. I never felt so angry in my entire life.
"I couldn't believe he did this," I mumbled to myself.
"Yeah, I wished the rest of your father's pack were safe and some of the civilians got out on time. You knew Caligo, and he doesn't care about anyone; he only wanted to capture you, whatever it took." Zane responded, and I didn't expect to say it out loud for him to hear me.
"I hate him," I replied.
