Meeting Continues

"Could you repeat that please" I asked into the round. "His name is Merlin" Godrick said again.

I halted in my movements and stood still for a couple of seconds. I knew Merlin should come to Hogwarts, but I wasn't sure when he was going to come. Noticing my freeze all turned their full attention to me.

"What does make this student so special ? " I asked them. "He is a match to me in magic power at the age of 10 years. " Answered Godrick again. " How did you find him then ? Which family does he belong to ? You didn't say any last name did you ?" I asked Godrick.

" I had an appointment with Cuilén, the king of the kingdom of Alba, but I felt a particularly strong wizard in the town he was residing in. So I went out to search for him to try to invite him to become one of our teachers, but when I got there it was the small Merlin. Merlin lived on the street till now but did manage to train himself a bit in magic. He was able to make himself somewhat invisible, an amazing achievement considering he did not have any education before." Godrick explained to me.

This indeed astounded me invisibility Charms were hard to cast and if you did not have any education it was close to impossible to do so. Yet this child had managed to do so and that without a wand, despite Godricks explaining something annoyed me. "Why don't you or Helga want him as a Student ?"

"Well" Godrick started to answer" that is because how he had reacted when I was looking for him" he continued. I shot him a questioning gaze. "The moment I found him he used everything around him and shot it in my direction. After I deflected all that with my wand and started to shoot stunners at him, he started to cry and pleaded me not to kill him. After I explained that I wouldn't do, so he promised me that he wouldn't run if I loosened the restraints on him. He tried to run away. While doing so she shouted for help and said that an old man wanted to rape him. I had to olbiliviate half of the city because of the ruckus he had caused. After I told him that if he were to expect and would follow me to the school he could learn all what I did with a lot of hard work. As soon as I started to talk about hard work the little shit had fear in his eyes for the first time. I could have kidnapped him for experiments but the thought of doing work scared him?! I of course stunned him and took him with me. Someone like him is in dire need of some serious education." Godrick ranted.

Thinking about what Godrick had told me I now understood why neither Godrick nor Helga wanted him as a student. Salazar however had a beaming smile on his face and said "You see he is perfect he fits the criteria I want from children."

Ignoring Salazar I asked Godrick "So you kidnapped him ? You kidnapped an 10-year-old boy and took him out of his known places even though he was unwilling ?"

"Yes, I did. And it was the correct thing to do so. He is so powerful in his young years, so we have to educate him, or we have a whole other problem to deal with later. If he were to abuse his power lets say on muggles he could cause problems for our school." Godrick snapped at me.

Not knowing how to respond to that I admitted my loss in this Argument. While it was indeed wrong to do, so we also provided him with more possibilities the kid could ever imagine. "Who is buying the equipment for the delinquent ?" I asked into the round.

Rowena answered this time "I think the head of the house to which he will belong to should do this wonderful task" She said with a devilish smirk.

Orphaned students were always a pain to care for. They did not have any of the necessaries for the school and buying them did cost a lot especially new wands.

"Okay I think that's it. Or do you have any other topics you want to talk about. We don't want our poor William here to die of hunger after all." Said Helga with a smirk in my Direction. I shot her a thankful and dragged Rowena out of the office before the others managed to give any protests to the decision.

"You have heard of him before" Rowena asked me as soon as we stepped out of hearing range. "Yes" I answered.

She had forbidden me to talk about any of the future knowledge I had, prophesies will always bring more doom if you try to change them she would say when I tried to talk with her about my future knowledge. It did not matter how smart she was, she was sure that divination was a valid magical subject. She also made theories about me.

My past life that I had before was due to me being the strongest Diviner to ever exist. Well it was a theory I can't say is wrong because it was indeed possible even if I thought it was not the case. Even if she thought that I was a Diviner she hated Prophecies with all her heart and never wanted to hear anything about the knowledge that I had. She had even scolded me when she found out that my sewer system that was implemented into the school wasn't even invented yet. Well at least this was never going to be found out because it could always be explained with magic.

She looked in my eyes and said "Okay then don't tell me and let us get something to eat." I followed her to the great hall and was lost in my thoughts. Sometimes I was sure she told me not to tell her just to annoy me but if she said that she didn't want to know I would obey. We walked through the great hall to the front table Rowena greeted some students while dragging me along.

When we got to the table we sat down at our usual seats and some food plopped onto our plates. "You have to teach him how to control his power" Said Rowena. I looked at her confused. "The others thought it might be a child from you, but he doesn't resemble you at all, and I also think that you would have told me if you had a child." She said while looking at me with a stern face.

"Of cause I would have told you." I answered a bit shocked. "And ?" She asked. Now completely confused I kept eating. "Will you teach him ?" she specified. "Sure" I answered just to get out of that awkward situation and continued to stuff my mouth with whatever the elves had prepared. The meal continued in silence with me getting more and more annoyed at her ever-growing smile.

"What is it?" I finally asked. "I told the others that Merlin was not your Child but no one believed me, they thought because of the magic power he had to be related." Rowena answered smiling even more. The rest of the meal was unspectacular we chattered about the new contract Godrick had negotiated and then about other research related topics. Rowena then stood up and went on to prepare her afternoon class leaving me behind at the table.

As she stood up Salazar spotted his opportunity and took her seat. "William" he said with a beaming smile. I knew better than to answer directly every time he would look at you like that you had to be prepared it very rarely happened that you did not get screwed when you did not expect him to have some ulterior motive.

"I am sure you know where you bought your first want." Salazar said while his smile grew even wider." Now, with Merlin we do have a similar case. If he is at his peak he is at least the second strongest wizard in the whole world." Salazar went on trying to flatter me.

"Spit it out, what do you want?" I asked him. "Olivander said that I didn't have to pay a thing if you would talk to him for an hour and would let him look at your wand." Salazar nearly whispered at me.
