instead, a lot of people had started making choices that weren't related to the main character, believe it or not

In Konoha
after leaving the hospital, Lee had a ton of stuff to think about, he wanted to ask more questions to Kaede, but she vanished
he wanted to talk with Guy, but he was visiting Kakashi who lost an eye once more
and since he wasn't the guy with most friends, he walked aimlessly around the village
He walked for quite a while before feeling a strange connection and looking at the source of said feeling he was very surprised
"...You..."

Sasuke was having a bad time, to say the least
He was talking with Kaede, then suddenly there was another guy with her, she ripped Kakashi's stolen eye...
something he approved of since sharingans should be only with Uchihas and not Hatakes.
Then Naruto was attacked but saved by yet another stranger, that seemed to know both Kaede, That Guy, and Naruto somehow
then, they just... vanished, making him confused
then that guy appeared before him and offered him power
he accepted, passes out in pain and when he woke up, he was at Konoha again
That was quite a LOT for his mind to take in at once, so he left the hospital before hearing Naruto tell what happened after he passes out, to take some air
"Ugh... my head hurts like crazy... and my eyes are itching..." He complained to no one
Suddenly he felt a strange connection, and when he turned to the source...
"...You?..."
"Big brows?" Both asked at once

"What did you want to talk with e about Tsunade?" Hiruzen, who looked like he aged decades in just months, asked as slightly distressed Tsunade
"Sensei... have you ever felt... useless?
Those last few days have been very stressful for me, and I didn't notice before but...
I failed on doing a surgery with almost no chance of failure, and only now I am seeing my actual age getting to me...
My skills are getting worse, all those time I was just... away

You know what I mean?" Tsunade asked while looking at her palms with a concerned expression

Hiruzen said as he looked at the sky with a distant look on his face
"... The truth is, it doesn't matter if you think you can or cannot, you have to either do it or not
I have been thinking a lot after we discovered Danzo has died, but...
in my years as Hokage, I have never really taken my old combat abilities as a priority
and if wasn't luck, I would have died to the invasion..."
"What are you trying to say, sensei?"
"Tsunade, you are taking too much into your own hands, being a Hokage is something that takes most o someone's time, and you are still the head medical-nin, that's too much
you should teach someone the required skills to manage the hospital, before focusing on your Hokage duties, ok?
If you want, I can help you with the Hokage paperwork until you find someone, but I can't help you more than that, sorry..."
"...I guess you are right... thanks, sensei, I appreciate that"
"No, no
that's the least I can do" Hiruzen answered with a smile
"Maybe this way I can atone for some of my mistakes..." He muttered so Tsunade couldn't hear it as his smile faded a bit

Zetsu noticed Obito acting weird, so he went to investigate it
and by investigate, I do mean he took him by surprise and immobilized him using some white zetsus
he quickly found the Rinnegan pattern on Obito's eye, and the chakra receptors, so he removed them
"What happened? did Nagato discover something?" Zetsu asked
"...No... It was worse... than that..." Obito said in between pauses, he was only alive because 50% of his body was Hackrama's cells at this point
"Worse? did he discover our plan?" Zetsu assumed
"No... it wasn't... Nagato..."
Zetsu frowned
"Wasn't Nagato?"
