Teenage assassin

The worlds changed. Since the introduction of Monsters, Magic, and Hunters the world has become one giant strength competition. The strong are honored as Monarchs. The weak receive a fate worse then death. Following the first Monster attack Earth went through a technological revolution with the ability to harness magic teleportation became possible and the existence of other worlds, other races, became known. After colonizing new worlds ,humanity went through a war against an enemy later deemed The Alka who's physical prowess far surpassed human capabilities. With no side gaining a clear advantage a cease fire was called and a temporary truce made. Years after the war tensions rise as the Alka expand there domain close to human civilization and Humanity starts forcing a two year military training for all students out of high school. Steven Gratos born with no magic capabilities is about to start his mandatory two years.
