Gifted with two rank S abilities and one rank A ability by the enigmatic being Krishna, Kallen begins a journey of survival and self-discovery. Determined to transform his harsh new environment into a thriving oasis, Kallen taps into his powers of elemental manipulation and chlorokinesis. As he builds a fortress of stone and greenery, he learns to harness his abilities, creating a sanctuary amidst the chaos. But Kallen’s newfound peace is threatened by the looming dangers of the outside world. The small town of Tatoro, teetering on the edge of human and demon territories, faces imminent invasion. When Elara, an elf in disguise fleeing her own conflict, seeks Kallen’s help, he is drawn into a broader struggle for survival and justice. As Kallen fortifies his domain and builds alliances, he discovers that his oasis is more than just a refuge; it’s a beacon of hope. With every plant he nurtures and every wall he raises, Kallen prepares for the inevitable clash with the forces of darkness. "Verdant Awakening" is a tale of resilience, power, and transformation. Follow Kallen as he turns a wasteland into a haven, faces formidable foes, and finds his place in a world torn apart by war. Will his strength and ingenuity be enough to protect his sanctuary and the people he comes to care about?

Salazar's Whim

“Ah! Argh! Ahh!! Blood” squealed a royally dressed man desperately, as he wrapped his palms around his neck to stop the blood from spilling out from the fresh tear of a wound that ran across his neck, but only for the action to prove futile, as the resistance he provided with his hand amounted to nothing as the blood welled up nonstop. He took a quick look at his bloodied hands for a second and cried out terrified at the sight. “W-why? W-Why are you doing this?... D-do you even realize the consequences you’ll face because of your acts till now towards this King!!” The man squealed again, this time with an attempt to bring out his royal tone while stating his identity as his eyes darted around here and there scanning the dark environment he was in, trying to figure out the identity of his assailant. Just then a weirdly soothing yet mellifluous tone of a girl could be heard, with a layer of indifference laced in her tone as she spoke “Well, my appearance at the moment may resemble that of your wife, the Queen, but I’m not dumb like her so you can rest assured knowing that I’m well aware of the consequences of killing you.” The man who claimed to be the king, his facial expressions distorted with multitude of expressions as he raised his to gaze to greet the person, who walked out of the darkness. The person was a peerless beauty with long flowing Raven Black hair styled in a loose braid that lay regal on her left shoulder, her skin like porcelain, her eyebrows sharp and her perfectly toned and slender body only served to increase her beauty up by a notch. “Got to say, I almost felt pity for killing your wife, after all she’s a beauty, but the thing is I believe Beauty does not save you from the maws of evil, so it certainly doesn’t save you or her from me either. It might have saved her a life of trouble just because she was born beautiful and became queen because of it, but that’s all you got going for you even after becoming the king and queen of an Empire, what a Shame” as her red lips curled up in a small smile. Fear, Anger, Longing, Lost and then finally Puzzlement colored his face, one after an another. “W-Who are you? And Why are you doing this?” he asked with fear dominating his facial expressions. When he asked the question, her lips contorted into a crazed smile, as her sclera and pupils suddenly all turned eerily Black as her body dispersed into Pitch Black dense mist as they instantly wreathed back to form the appearance of a Young man dressed in a Black hoodie, Black Pants and Black shoes, his skin Pale and his hair pristine white in color as he had it styled in a slicked back manner. He’s whole persona exuded Un-natural. He came closer to the man and pushed two of his fingers as deep as he could into the gash wound on the king’s neck as he made a separating motion using his fingers as he watched him wreathe, scream, and twitch in pain as his neck was ripped open while the blood poured out nonstop and made a small puddle around the king, drenching his white royal dress very much red. When the man dressed in all black sensed that his prey’s life was slipping away, he chocked his neck and raised him up in the air. “The Name is Dominique Romulus Salazar and you died today to satisfy my Whim” he said ever so indifferently as if he was bored of playing with his new toy, as he ripped the man’s head off casually with his bare hands and threw it at the corner of the room. “So dull, at least it’s better than earth I guess...” (I do not Own the Image, If you want me to take it down let me know I'll do so. if you want me to give credit then that works too)

Sylvan

Sylvan Pines is a small place. Everyone's lives are intertwined. One disappearance takes a piece out of everybody's heart, and Bluejay believes it's his fault for losing Taro. Two years later, Bluejay- the middle child of a family with one absent father and 3 brothers from separate relationships, is a boy not so easily coerced. He doesn't know if its the constant absence of their father or the backstabbing remarks of his "friends" that fuels his drive to find Taro, but he knows he must. If only he wasn't now deathly afraid of the woods where he was last with him. Bluejay's older brother, Gerdie, is all that he has, but as Blue's mind drifts farther and farther away from reality, Gerdie becomes afraid he might lose him altogether. Taro isn't the only child that the forest of Sylvan Pines has taken. And there must be a reason why their father can't be near Blue without remembering the reason he works abroad. Over time Blue realizes something is wrong with him, but he wonders if wrong is the right word. Once the few things that hold Blue's interests are gone, he resorts to watching people. No one in particular. Just whoever he can with his failing vision and hearing. Then he gets sick. Deathly ill to the point where no one knows what's wrong. Gerdie tries to help him before he's too far to reach. He puts things that he remembers together and the story begins to fall into place. Either it's his innocent little brother, or something inside of him.
