Chapter 19

I woke up to realize I was in a room. I could see that it was in the middle of the night the clock just hit 11.30. As I sat up, I see the Duke beside me, her CE unreadable.

"What happen to.." I said unable to speak the last word.

"She will be alright" replied the Duke.

I sighed in relief, now that I know what was going on. Suddenly I felt the presences of 3 Jin sister (Xiao, Xi and Su). As I was wondering I could feel the Duke staring at me.

"Is there something wrong teacher?"

"You seem to have got yourself some capable knights."

At this statement the 3 Jin sisters immediately attacked her which she easily deflected.

"I didn't mean to make you cautious but I need to know who you picked" she said making them fly across the room.

"How exactly did you came immediately after my mother and the empress got attacked?" I asked.

"If that what you're worried about, than I must say you are not the only o who has people" she replied, "I suppose you known this right."

It wasn't a question it was a statement. I knew she has people in the palace but to know to this extent without me realizing. Who can that person be?

As I was wondering someone's face hit my mind, there is only a few people who knows about this incident and the only one who left was....

"Hua" I said. She looked confused so I continued, "Hua is your spy isn't she. She's your ears."

"You are indeed smart as your teacher I must compliment you on that" she said smiling.

Now I didn't know who to trust, I knew the power of this Duke but how am I suppose to act around her, is she an ally or not. As if reading my mind she said, "Right now you are questioning if I'm and ally or not. Am I someone you should be aware off. For those questions I will say I'm more of an ally than I am not but you should be aware of me because I am dangerous."

For some reason my instincts believe her. Is she really an ally? I clearly knew to survive she is the best ally I got.

"Your Highness even if you decide to mark me as a enemy, I will be loyal to whoever is the master of the vessel."

I knew what she meant. The tradition of the vessel something that I have ignored since the coming off age ceremony. She gave me a look that I knew what it meant, she wants me to take it.

"It seems you need time to make the decision. I will wait for it" she said standing up and walking to the door. When she reached the door I called to her, "I would do it!"

She turned around smirking and left the room. I didn't know she prepared it immediately for the next day.
