Chapter 4: Fenris

Clearwater Academy.

Also known to the kids who attend it as Creature Academy or Supernatural High.

It was founded a hundred years ago when the heavy influx of immigrants also brought more supernatural's with it. Now, almost all supernatural creatures are able to camouflage into the human population, however it can take some time for certain species to do so. So parents at the time became scared for their children's safety. The solution they came to, was to create a school that not only taught them how to control and properly use their abilities, but also taught them how to live in human society. The academy had werewolves, witches, demons, vampires, hell one of the teachers was a mermaid; she had a giant tank at the front of her classroom.

Clearwater Academy looked like a fancy boarding school mixed with a castle. It's elegant and had been modernized about thirty years ago.

It was 7:30AM and Fenris stood outside the doors of Clearwater. The school starts at 9AM but they open at 7AM for those kids who need to avoid the public eye. Fenris knowing that most of the time she'll have to be one of those kids, so she'll come to school at 7:30AM all the time.

Fenris sighs and looks down at herself. She's wearing black jeans with her favorite boots and a white t-shirt with her leather jacket, she also had sunglasses on that hid her eyes. She left her long black hair down and only had chapstick on, she hated wearing makeup. She looked good and she knew it. She also looked like the town player everyone said she was but she honestly just felt comfortable dressing like this.

There were two things Fenris hated about school. The first one was that it's school, doesn't matter what species, gender, race or sexuality you are teenagers everywhere hate school. The second was the fact that the place was a rumor mill. Fenris had never been with a single person in her entire life, hell, she hasn't even had her first kiss yet. But go in there and at least ten girls will swear up and down they've had sex with her. They also tend to cling to her just to make that statement true, but Fenris doesn't want any of them. After all, not one of them is her mate.

However the one biggest reason she loved this school was for the fact that she could at least be herself physically. All the new kids always stopped and stared at her. After all, her eyes alone could make grown men back away in fear. Then when she talked or smiled most people tended to look like they would wet themselves. Once her wings came back people tended to steer clear of her. Everybody was always scared of her, at least after a while they would stop staring at her though. It was like clockwork at the beginning of the school year, so she knew after a month she would be fine. 

Fenris gripped her backpack and walked through the doors and headed for the cafeteria.

The other thing about Clearwater is that there are plants everywhere. It helps give the kids a sense of peace and eases the claustrophobic feeling of so many people. Fenris loved the layout of the school, she always felt better when she was around nature. She loved walking down the hall and letting her fingertips skim the leaves of the plants closest to her.

She walked through the doors of the cafeteria and sat down in one of the corners putting her bag on the table in front of her. She quickly put her headphones in, set it on shuffle, and used her bag as a pillow.

Fenris was startled out of her sleep when she felt not two, not four but six arms wrapping around her body. She ripped her headphones off and looked at who had woken her up.

It was none other than Ashley, Kendall and Kirsty. Ashley is a wolf and Kendall and Kirsty are both witches, and these three girls had been throwing themselves at her since freshman year. She never gave in, never showed any interest, but they still fought each other over the right to be with her. In truth, Fenris gave up on stopping them from fighting because it just gave her a headache, but she still didn't want them.

"Fenris baby, tell these whores to beat it. Once they're gone we can have some alone time, if you know what I mean." Ashley said with a wink at her and a glare at the other two. She was holding on to Fenris' left arm while Kirsty had her right and Kendall was wrapped around her back. 

Fenris rolled her eyes at the statement,  [No thanks] , she thought. She reached for her phone that was on her right, Kirsty not letting go of her grip even a little. She looked at the time on her phone, 8:25AM, she got almost an hour more of sleep but now she had to deal with these three for thirty minutes. Where is Ray to save her? The girls now started arguing, slightly pulling on Fenris to get her away from the others.

The cafeteria doors opened and Fenris looked up quickly, eager to see Ray and have him save her. But what she saw stole her breath. There in the doorway was a rather short girl with a body to sin for. She was wearing a simple grey dress that went to her thighs and looked to be of a t-shirt fabric. The dress hugged her ample chest and showed off her amazing curves. She had long wavy light brown hair that went to the small of her back. Her face was rounded, sort of like a childs, but not exactly, to be honest Fenris thought this gave her an adorable look. The rest of the girl's face made her heart jump. Her forest green eyes that Fenris could look at all day and her full pink kissable lips had Fenris feeling something she's never felt before.

All she wanted to do was hold this girl and kiss her. She wanted to protect her and love her. Fenris' eyes went wide at her last though. [Love her? I don't even know her. I barely know what love is.]

Like the girl could feel Fenris watching her, she looked over at her. For a few seconds their eyes were locked, until the shorter girl looked around next to her and rolled her eyes glaring at her before walking away.

Fenris felt her heart crack as she watched the girl walk away from her. She wanted to run after her. So she went to stand, only to remember that she had three crazy hormonal teenage girls hanging onto her.

"Let go"

The three girls stopped arguing with each other and whined. "Fenris no stay." Kirsty pleaded babyishly, trying to sound cute but just irritating Fenris more.

"Let. Go. Of. Me." Fenris said slow and calmly.

Each girl having heard of Fenris' legendary anger didn't want to see it and eventually let go.

Fenris grabbed her bag and headed out of the cafeteria after the short girl, she had no idea why, but she had to follow her.
