Some people do not take life seriously. They do not try to understand its meaning and purpose. They regard this world as a huge lotus-land and want to luxuriate like lotus eaters. But life is not to play, to dream, and to drift. We are not to dream away its precious moments. It is a regular bed of thorns and we have to perform the duties assigned to us, duties to our family, to our neighbours, to our country, to the human race, and last, but not least to God who ‘made in us in his own image. It is the law of our being, the living principle that carries men and nations onwards. All that is great in man comes through work, and civilisation is its product. In all walks of life-social, economic, political struggle is present. When you’re really struggling it can sometimes seem almost impossible that you’ll ever feel good again. The truth is, life is hard for everyone (and I mean EVERYONE) and you’re not alone in your struggles.
