Jeff the killer

Jeff the Killer, Jeffrey Alan Woods or just Jeff, Jeff and his family had to move to a new neighborhood, his father had gotten a job promotion and they thought it would be better to move into one of those "fancy" neighborhoods. Jeff and his brother Liu couldn't complain. As they were unpacking, one of their neighbors came over. "Hi," greeted the neighbor, "I'm Barbara, and I live right down the street from you. Well, I just wanted to introduce myself and my son" She turned and said to her son "Billy, these are the new neighbors." Billy said hello and ran to play in their yard.

"Well" Jeff's mom said "I'm Margaret and this is my husband, Peter and these are my two sons, Jeff and Liu" and the two of them introduced themselves and then Barbara invited them to her son's birthday. Jeff and his brother were about to protest until their mom said they would love to go. When they finished unpacking,

Jeff went to his mother.

"Mom, why did you invite us to a kid's party, if you hadn't noticed, I'm not a dumb kid."

"Jeff" said his mom "we just moved here, we got to spend time with our new neighbors. Now, you're going to that party, period." Jeff tried to speak but bit his tongue knowing he couldn't do anything. When his mom said something it was like that and that was that. He went up to his room and collapsed on his bed, he sat looking up at the ceiling when suddenly, he had a strange feeling, it wasn't pain but...it was pretty weird. He resolved that it was just a random feeling and he wouldn't pay attention to it.

He heard his mother calling him to get his things and he went downstairs to gather them up and organize them.

The next day, Jeff went downstairs to eat breakfast and get ready for school. When he sat down at the table to eat, he felt that feeling again and this time it was stronger and gave him a slight tug of pain, but he pushed it back again. When he and Liu finished breakfast, they walked to the bus station and sat down to wait and suddenly some kids on skateboards jumped on top of them, just a few inches above their legs and they both startled from surprise. "Hey, what the hell?"

The kid landed and walked over to them, he stepped on his skateboard and grabbed it with his hand, and he looked about twelve years old, a year younger than Jeff. He was wearing ripped jeans and an aero postal shirt.

"Well, well, well. Looks like we have new meat" and suddenly, two more kids appeared, one that was very skinny and one was huge "well, since you're new here, I'd like to introduce us. The one over there is Keith" Jeff and Liu looked at the skinny kid; he had a dumbfounded look on his face. "And that's Troy." They saw the fat kid, talk about a ball of fat; he looked like he hadn't exercised since he was crawling.

"And me," said the first boy, "I'm Randy. Now, for all the neighborhood kids, there's a small fee to be paid, if you understand" Liu stood up ready to hit the boys when one of them pulled out a knife "tsk tsk tsk, I was hoping they would be more cooperative, but apparently we'll have to do it the hard way" the boy walked over to Liu and pulled his wallet out of his pocket. Jeff had that feeling again, this time it was strong, a feeling that burned. He stood up, but Liu motioned for him to sit down, Jeff ignored him and walked towards the boy.

"Listen to me, brat, give the wallet back to my brother or..." Randy put the wallet in his pocket and pulled out his knife.

"Or what, what are you going to do?" he barely finished the sentence and Jeff snapped his nose at him. At which Randy brought his hands to his face Jeff grabbed his wrist and broke it. Randy screamed and Jeff grabbed the knife out of his hand. Troy and Keith lunged at Jeff, but he was faster and knocked Randy to the ground. Keith lunged at him but Jeff ducked and stabbed him in the arm, Keith dropped the knife and fell to the floor screaming. Troy lunged at him as well but Jeff didn't even need the knife, he punched him in the stomach and Troy he fell. Liu could do nothing but stare in amazement at Jeff.

"Jeff how did you...?" was all he said. They saw the bus approaching and knew they were going to be blamed for everything, so they ran away as fast as they could, as they ran, they saw the bus driver running towards Randy and the others. When Jeff and Liu got to the school they didn't dare tell what had happened, all they did was sit and listen. Liu thought Jeff had beaten up a few kids, but Jeff knew it was much more than that. That was something...scary, as he felt it he knew how powerful it was, it was the simple urge to hurt someone. He didn't like the sound of it, but it didn't help feeling happy either.

He felt the feeling fizzle out while he was in class, even as he walked home because of everything that happened at the bus stop, he knew he wouldn't be able to take the bus again, he felt happy. When he got home, his parents asked him how his day had been, he said in a somewhat sinister voice "it was a wonderful day". The next day, he heard someone knocking at the door and went to open it and found two policemen at the door. His mother saw him and looked angry.

"Jeff, these policemen told me that you attacked three boys. It wasn't a normal fight, they were stabbed. Stabbed, son!" Jeff looked at the ground, proving to his mother that it was true.

"Mom, they were the ones who pulled the knives."

"Son," said one of the policemen "we found three kids, two were stabbed and one had a bruise on his stomach, and we have witnesses who claim you fled the scene now what does that tell us?"Jeff knew that nothing he said would do, he could have said that Liu and he had been attacked first, but there was no proof to prove it. They couldn't say they weren't running away, because they were, so Jeff couldn't defend Liu or himself.

"Son, call your brother." Jeff couldn't, since he was the one who hit the boys.

"Sir, it was...it was me who hit them, Liu tried to hold me back, but he couldn't stop me." The policeman looked at his partner, and they both nodded.

"Well, kid, this looks like a year in Juvy..."

"Wait!" said Liu, they all saw him and he was holding a knife. The cops pulled out their guns and pointed them at Liu "It was me; I beat up those little brats. I have marks to prove it" He lifted the sleeves of his shirt to reveal cuts and bruises, as if he had fought.

"Son, put the knife down," the officer said. Liu dropped the knife and let it fall to the ground, raised his hands and walked to the officers.

"No, Liu. It was me! I did it!" Tears ran down Jeff's cheeks.

"Huh, poor brother, trying to blame himself for what I did. Anyway, take me away." The policeman shoved Liu into the police car.

"Liu, tell them it was me! Tell them! It was me who assaulted those kids!" Jeff's mother put her hands on his shoulders.

"Jeff, please, you don't have to lie. We already know it was Liu, you can stop now." Jeff watched hopelessly as the car accelerated with Liu inside. A few minutes later, Dad pulled up on the doorstep, seeing Jeff's face and knowing what was going on.

"Son, what's wrong?" Jeff couldn't answer, his vocal cords strained from crying, instead, his mother told him the bad news as Jeff cried in the doorway.

After an hour or so, Jeff walked into the house, seeing that his parents were shocked and disappointed. Jeff couldn't see them. He couldn't see how they thought it had been Liu when it wasn't his fault. He just went to sleep, trying to get all the thoughts out of his head.

Two days passed, without a word from Liu at JDC. There were no friends to hang out with, just sadness and guilt. So it went until Saturday, when Jeff was awakened by his mother, with a face of radiant happiness.

"Jeff today is the day," she said as she drew back the curtains, letting the light flow into the room.

"What, what day is today?" he asked as he stretched.

"Today is Billy's birthday."

"Mom, you've got to be kidding right, don't expect me to go to a kid's party after..." there was a long pause.

"Jeff, we both know what happened, I think this party would be the most positive thing that has happened to us these days, now get dressed" She left the room and went downstairs to get ready.

He grabbed a random shirt, some jeans and went downstairs. He saw his parents dressed in suits and thought why dress up to go to a kids' party?

"Son is that all you're going to wear?" asked his mother.

"It's better than wearing too much," he replied. He had the feeling his mother was yelling at him and hiding it behind a smile.

"Now Jeff, go and put your clothes back on, that's how you go if you want to make an impression" said his father. Jeff grunted and went back to his room.

"I don't have anything fancy to wear!" he shouted up the stairs.

"Just put something on" said his mother. Jeff looked in his closet for something that might be dressy.

He found some black pants that he wore on special occasions and a t-shirt to go with something else. He looked and only found striped shirts, nothing that would go with pants he wore. Until he found a white hoodie and put it on. "Are you going to wear that?" his parents said. His mother looked at her watch "oh, no, no time, let's go" she said as she led Jeff and his father out the door. They walked across the street to Barbara and Billy's house. They knocked on the door and Barbara appeared, she looked just like her parents, a little overdressed.

When they walked in, Jeff didn't see children but adults.

"The kids are in the garden, Jeff how about you go with them and make friends?" said Barbara.

Jeff went to the garden, which was full of children who were dressed as cowboys and shooting each other with plastic guns. He could have been with them playing too. Suddenly a boy handed him a toy gun and a hat.

"Do you want to play?" he asked him.

"Ah, no, kid, I'm too old for that sort of thing."

The boy looked at him with a sad puppy face.

"Please" he said.

"Okay" Jeff said, put on his hat and pretended to despair to the other kids. At first he thought it was really ridiculous but he started to have fun. It wasn't that cool, but at least it distracted him from the subject Liu's for the first time and was playing for a while, until he heard a sound, a weird rippling sound and something hit him. Randy, Keith and Troy had jumped the fence on their skateboards. Jeff dropped the hat and the gun. Randy looked at Jeff with burning hatred.

"Jeff right?" he said "we have unfinished business" Jeff saw his nose break.

"I think we're even, I broke your face and you sent my brother to JDC."

Anger flashed in Randy's eyes.

"Oh, no, we're not even, I'm winning. You could have kicked our asses once, but not today" he barely said this and jumped on top of Jeff. They both fell to the floor. Randy punched Jeff in the nose and Jeff grabbed him by the ears and head butted him. He then pushed him off him and they both got to their feet. The kids were screaming and the parents were running out of the house. Troy and Keith pulled guns from their pockets.

"Don't interrupt or there will be blood!" they said.

Randy pulled out a knife and stabbed Jeff in the shoulder; he screamed and fell to his knees. Randy started kicking him in the face. After three kicks Jeff grabbed his feet and twisted them, causing Randy to fall to the ground. Jeff got to his feet and walked to the back door but Troy grabbed him.

"Need help?" He grabbed Jeff by the hood and threw him into the yard. When he tried to get up he was kicked again, Randy started kicking him repeatedly until Jeff started coughing up blood.

"Come on Jeff! Fight!" Randy threw him into the kitchen and saw a bottle of vodka and smashed the bottle over Jeff's head. "Fight!" he yelled at him again and threw him into the living room.

"Come on Jeff! Look at me!" Jeff looked up with his face dripping blood. "I was the one who sent your brother to JDC! Now you're going to sit back and let him rot over there for a year, you should be ashamed of yourself!" Jeff started to get up. "Oh, finally! You're going to stand up and fight!" Now Jeff was on his feet, with a face full of blood and vodka. Again he had that strange feeling which he had forgotten for a while. "Finally! You're on your feet!" said Randy and walked over to Jeff. That's when it happened, something inside Jeff exploded. His mind was destroyed, all rational thought was gone, and all he could do was kill. He grabbed Randy and threw him to the ground, then started punching him in the heart until he killed him.

Now everyone was looking at Jeff. The parents, the kids, even Troy and Keith, but then they both pointed their guns at Jeff, he saw the guns pointed at him and ran to the stairs as he ran Keith and Troy fired, but each shot missed. Jeff ran up the stairs and heard that Keith and Troy were after him and when they expended their bullets, Jeff went into the bathroom grabbed the towel rack and ripped it off the wall. Troy and Keith entered knife in hand.

Troy swung his knife at Jeff, who backed up and threw the towel hanger in Troy's face and he fell hard and now only Keith was left. He was more agile than Troy and ducked as Jeff threw a towel at him. Keith dropped the knife and grabbed Jeff by the throat and slammed him against the wall. Some chlorine from a ledge fell on them both and they started screaming.

Jeff wiped his eyes as best he could, grabbed the towel hanger and slammed it straight into Keith's head. As he lay on the floor, bleeding, he grinned sinisterly.

"What's so funny?" asked Jeff. Keith pulled out a lighter and lit it.

"What's funny," said Keith "is that you're covered in bleach and alcohol." Jeff's eyes widened as Keith tossed him the lighter. As soon as the fire made contact with him, the flames spread with the alcohol and as the vodka made him burn, the bleach bleached his skin. Jeff let out a horrible scream as the flames engulfed him. He tried to roll over to put out the fire but it was no use, the alcohol made him become a walking inferno. He ran down the hallway and fell down the stairs. Everyone screamed when they saw Jeff turned into a man of flames. He fell to the floor, almost dead and the last thing he saw was his mother and other parents trying to extinguish the fire and there he lost consciousness.

When Jeff woke up, his face was wrapped in bandages, he couldn't see anything, but he felt bandages around his shoulder and stitches all over his body. He tried to stand up, but he realized that he had some tubes in his arms, and he could not see anything. He had some tubes in his arms, and when he tried to get up, he fell and a nurse rushed to him.

"You can't get out of bed yet," she told him as she settled him back on the bed and reinserted the tubes. Jeff sat up; he had no vision and no idea what was wrong with him. After a few hours, he heard his mother.

"Honey, are you okay?" she asked him. Jeff couldn't answer; his face was covered in bandages so he couldn't speak. "Oh, honey, I have excellent news. After all, the witnesses told the cops that Randy tried to attack you, so they decided to let Liu go free." This made Jeff almost jump, but he didn't, remembering he had a tube in his arm. "He's getting out tomorrow and the two of you can be together again." He said, hugged Jeff and said goodbye. The next two weeks he was visited by his family and then the day came for his bandages to be removed. His whole family was there to see him, how he would look. As the doctors removed the bandages from his face, they were all sitting on the edge of their chairs. They waited for them to remove the last bandage almost completely.

"Let's hope for the best" Said the doctor. He quickly pulled the bandage off, letting the others fall down between Jeff's face.

Jeff's mother screamed at the sight of his face, Liu and his father were in shock at the same thing.

"What? What's wrong with my face?" Jeff asked. He got out of bed and ran to the bathroom. He looked in the mirror and saw the cause of the distress. His face was...it was horrible. His lips exploded into a shade of deep red, his face turned completely white and his hair changed from brown to black. She slowly touched her face. She had some shallow feelings about this. He looked at his family and then at the mirror.

"Jeff," said Liu "it's not that bad..."

"It's not that bad?" said Jeff "its perfect!" His whole family was just as surprised. Jeff started laughing uncontrollably. His parents noticed that his left eye and hand were twitching.

"Uh...Jeff...are you okay?"

"Fine? I've never felt so happy! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha haaaaaaaa, look at me. This face goes perfectly with me!" he couldn't stop laughing. He stroked his face feeling it, looking at himself in the mirror. What was the cause? Well, you may remember that, when Jeff was fighting with Randy, something in his mind, in his health, exploded leaving a crazy killer. This his parents didn't know.

"Doctor," said Jeff's mother "my son...is he okay? You know...with his head."

"Oh, yes, this behavior is normal in patients who have taken large amounts of painkillers. If his behavior doesn't change in a few weeks, bring him back in for a psychological test."

"Thank you, doctor." she said. She went to where Jeff was standing. "Jeff, honey, it's time to go." Jeff caught a distant glimpse of himself in the mirror, his face still wearing a manic grin.

"OK, Mommy, ha ha ha haaa haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!" His mother grabbed him by the shoulders and led them outside to give him his clothes.

"This is what he came in with" Said a lady at the desk. Jeff's mom looked at the black pants and white hoodie her son wore, which were now clean and sewn. She took her son to his hospital room and had him change his clothes. Then they left, unaware that this was his last day.

That night, Jeff's mother was awakened by a sound coming from the bathroom, like someone crying. She walked slowly to see what it was. When she looked into the bathroom she saw a horrible scene. Jeff had taken a knife and had carved a smile on his cheeks.

"Jeff, what are you doing?" asked his mother.

Jeff looked at his mother.

"I couldn't smile anymore, Mommy, it hurt for a moment. Now I'll be able to smile forever" His mother noticed his eyes were circled in black. "Jeff...your eyes!" her eyes apparently never closed.

"I couldn't see my face either, I got tired and my eyes would close. I burned my eyelids, so now I will be able to see forever...my new face" His mother began to walk backwards slowly, watching her son he was going insane. "What's the matter, Mommy, don't I look beautiful?"

"Yes, son," she said "yes, you do...l-let me get your father, so I can see your face" She ran into the room and woke her husband. "Honey, go get the gun, we..." she stopped when she saw Jeff in the doorway, holding a knife.

"Mommy, you lied." And that was the last they heard before Jeff lunged at them with the knife.

Their brother Liu woke up, startled by some sound. He heard nothing else, so he closed his eyes again. When he was on the verge of sleep, he had the strange feeling that someone was watching him; he looked up before Jeff's hand covered his mouth. He slowly raised the knife, ready to bury it in Liu.

Liu kicked and thrashed here and there trying to escape Jeff's grip.

"Shhhh," Jeff said "just go to sleep."
