Liu Mei's Phenomenon

The sight of such a large crowd cultivating on the streets was quite rare, but it was hard to judge them. No one would want to miss an opportunity of a lifetime.

The same scene was happening inside the Spirit Awakening Hall. Only four Shadow Guards at the Spirit King Stage surrounded Liu Mei to protect her while the rest of the hall began cultivating like mad, absorbing large amounts of Spirit Essence. Even the Arrogant Zhen Ping was sitting cross-legged, focused on stealing more essence for himself. He had been at the peak of the Grandmaster Stage for a long time and with the help of the Heavenly Phenomenon, he could finally attempt to break through.

But why was this phenomenon so precious? It was all thanks to the purple clouds that were made from Purple Spirit Essence. It didn't matter if you had Orange or Sky Blue Talent. With the Purple Spirit Essence, everyone could make Purple Spirit Qi.

Why were so many cultivators stuck at one stage for their whole lives? It was because their Spirit Qi was not strong enough to break through the walls of their dantian. With the help of the Heavenly Phenomenon, for a short moment, everyone in Phoenix City would have Purple Talent!

Even though the phenomenon only lasted for a few minutes, it was more than enough for many cultivators to break through into their dream stage of a Spirit King. Considering even the Liu Clan's Leader was only a Spirit King, reaching this stage was comparable to being a powerhouse inside the Aurora Country.

In the air above the Spirit Awakening Hall, the Emperor's Flood Dragon was flying happily among the purple clouds and swallowed them greedily, cutting off big chunks with each opening of his maw. That might have contributed to shortening the duration of the phenomenon, but no one had time to complain.

In only ten minutes, the vortex that sucked the Purple Spirit Essence into Liu Mei's Dantian turned smaller with each passing second and soon disappeared, alongside the purple clouds which dissipated in a blink of an eye.

It didn't take long for everyone's eyes to open, and many cried out loudly, "I broke through!"

The only ones who remained indifferent were Spirit Kings who knew that they wouldn't advance to another stage with only this little bit of Purple Spirit Essence. Since it wasn't originally theirs, the Purple Spirit Qi had to be used right away, otherwise it would be quickly polluted and lose its effects.

Ten minutes wasn't enough for them to break into the ranks of Lords.

Emperor Zhen checked on his son and laughed heartily when the boy's aura changed into that of a Spirit King. As long as they also benefited from the phenomenon, there was no need to be jealous.

He then gazed at his daughter who still emitted Spirit Grandmaster aura and nodded, knowing very well she was wearing a Spirit Artefact that would lower her visible stage. Although she didn't benefit from the phenomenon, he was already content knowing she was at the peak of the Spirit King stage.

'If only I knew she would be born with a Purple Talent… I would've awoken her Spirit in the capital instead of some random mountain on my way to the capital. Ah…' He thought back to the day he saw the phenomenon for the first time.

Elder Ming on the stage also broke through after thirty years of being stuck. Tears of joy flowed down his cheeks as he stood up and hugged the Clan Leader excitedly.

Liu Xiaobei was extremely pleased overseeing the situation. Although it wasn't an opportunity for him, he gained hundreds of new Spirit Kings in the Clan. Before the phenomenon even ended, he already started scheming to elevate their power further.

He sent a bunch of Shadow Guard members outside the clan to search the crowds for all Spirit Kings who managed to break through. Even if they were further from the hall, there could still be some lucky cultivators that needed to be recruited.

'Even the Shadow Guards alone gained around a hundred new Spirit Kings…' Liu Xiaobei counted down, knowing very well what it meant. Such an amount was enough to rule the whole country with, but he still wouldn't dare to declare war on the Royal Family.

If the ruler's were in danger, the Kingdom would definitely send experts to eliminate them. One Spirit Lord was strong enough to defeat ten Spirit Kings, but one Spirit Overlord was a power that could kill a hundred of them.

The Sacred Sword Kingdom had many Spirit Overlords, ready to end their ballsy clan if they dared to jump too high. Thankfully, as long as the Liu Clan stayed low-profile, the kingdom couldn't do anything to them. If they dared to eliminate a clan as large as them, they would create a public outrage where every clan in the country rebels against their rule.

By the tables, several guest Clan Leaders were looking at their daughters in pity. Even if Xuefeng had an Orange talent, they would be forced to sacrifice their happiness for their clan's prosperity. Having an ally with so many Spirit Kings was a dream scenario for any power.

The only person who wasn't happy about the whole ordeal was Xuefeng, the lonely participant waiting for his turn to awaken. 'I'm so unlucky. To think a phenomenon would appear when I can't even cultivate yet. What a wasted opportunity…'

He could see everyone busy cultivating. Old people, aunties, uncles, and even kids who just awakened were sitting cross-legged while cultivating, but not him. Everyone ignored him while they chased their benefits.

'Just you wait! I will show you what it means to have great talent. When I'm tested, I will have the best talent in the world!' He announced with clenched fists.

He couldn't really feel it, but the announcement caused a change in his body. A golden light moved from his head down to his stomach and finally broke into his dantian. It searched for his dormant Spirit before sinking inside of it.

If Xuefeng saw that light, he would immediately recognize it as the Fate Spirit that came into this world with him.

When Liu Mei snapped out of her blank gaze, she found herself in the middle of attention as the whole hall stared at her in gratitude. The purple hue in her eyes had already returned to its original color when Liu Xiaobei approached her.

"Don't worry, you didn't do anything wrong," He informed as if reading her mind. "Not only did you awaken a purple Talent, but you also created an incredible phenomenon that helped many people in the clan."

Hearing that, her mouth took a big 'O' shape, and she turned towards Xuefeng, calling out excitedly, "Big brother! I did it!"

She ignored the Clan Leader and ran towards Xuefeng, hugging him tightly. He was surprised at first but then remembered their earlier conversation.

"Right, you did great," Xuefeng praised, patting her head. "I was watching from the side. You created a big tornado, and purple clouds were flying everywhere."

"Really?! But I don't remember other kids doing anything special. They only went towards that crystal, and nothing else happened. Did I help many people?" She asked, looking up from the hug.

"Yeah, you will probably be rewarded with many sweets later," he said without thinking, causing the little girl to explode with happiness.

Liu Xiaobei didn't mind Liu Mei ignoring him and turned to the guests. "Everyone, we will be having a little break from the ceremony. As you could see, an unexpected Heavenly Phenomenon happened that no one was prepared for. We need to take care of the aftermath before we can continue."

Everyone nodded in understanding and continued absorbing the standard Spirit Essence to solidify their new stages.
