Sinister Tactics

The day July 31st, 2024, was known as the "Starting Point of Chaos." Half of humanity was wiped out by a gigantic meteorite.

Death was not the only thing the meteorite brought. Deadly creatures, otherwise known as Gorefiends, emerged.

Operating as quickly as possible, the military fought back against the Gorefiends.

Three Years Later after the day known as "Starting Point of Chaos" the military had grown more in power and importance.

The remaining survivors in the Military slowly started working together in the past three years, From the US military, To China's, To Europe, all slowly started teaming up to face the Gorefiends.

Thus led to the Global Military Group, Global IronWall Alliance.

The Global IronWall Alliance had a big impact on the remaining non-military survivors, nine to five office jobs wouldn't cut it anymore as the military needed all the manpower they could get to face the deadly Gorefiends.

In desperate need of manpower to face against the Gorefiends, everyone who were in the age limit of ten to fifty, male or female were required to be in the Military.

Thus the Military became very important in human Society. Leading to drastic changes in modern Society where Baby's were now born to be trained, to be in the military.

5 years later...

"DAMN" "DAMN IT" "DAMN IT ALL!"

Screamed a young Boy as loud as his eight year old lungs could handle.

The Boy was outraged at everything.

Sent to an Orphanage right after he was born, without a name, he spent eight years in the Orphanage, and through that time he was given the name Zero.

The Orphanage had a system, those who had higher chances of being adopted were given higher number ranks as there name.

As his name states, Zero was ranked at the lowest, because nobody wanted him.

Four years ago, Zero was attacked by a Gorefiend and his left leg got scratched by the Gorefiends claws.

There are Different kinds of Gorefiends and the one Zero had gotten Scratched by was an infected type Gorefiend.

Usually those who are even touched by a infected type Gorefiend are bound to die if not given proper treatment, because of how deadly the infection is to the human immune system.

But all Zero got was a fever and recovered. because of this incident and another everyone saw Zero differently and started treating him like an outcast.

Throughout the four years Zero was treated like crap, not just from the his fellow peers but also the staffs at the Orphanage.

All Zero wanted was to make friends, but instead he was tricked and betrayed.

Four years ago, Zero was always by himself, he didn't want it to be this way, but the kids the same age as him didn't like him because he was ranked Zero and his peers saw him as inferior.

One day a group of three popular kids at the Orphanage came up to Zero.

"Hey, what are you doing all alone?" Questioned Ten.

Before Zero could answer back another from the group interrupted and said "Wana be our friend."

Four year old Zero thought to himself *why would they want to be friends with me, especially the popular kids.*

But four year old Zero didn't question it further and responded "Yea, I want to be your friends."

This time another from the group who was named Eleven responded "Everyone from our group has to go through a test before they can join."

Zero responded " a test?"

Eleven responded " yea a test, are you up for it or no."

Although Zero was a little skeptical, the thought of having friends, especially with the popular kids overthrew the feeling.

Zero responded "Yeah, what is it?"

"Follow us" Said Thirteen.

As the group of now four kids followed Thirteen into the nearby forest and walked further in for around 10 minute, Thirteen finally stopped and pointed his finger at small cave a few meters away.

"You see that cave, go inside it and come out after Five minutes." Said Thirteen.

Hesitant, Zero Started moving towards the cave, he thought to himself *They probably did this too, I can't be a scaredy cat or they won't like me.*

When Zero finally got close enough to the entrance of the cave, he stopped and looked inside the darkness.

For a moment Zero thought he was seeing things as he thought he saw a white tall, skinny skeleton like figure in the darkness.

Turning back to the Group, Zero said " Hey guys I think i see somethings in there." In hopes that they would reassure him that nothings was in there.

But to his surprise they weren't there. Before Zero could process what had happen, he heard movement from the cave, and then a terrifying loud screeching sound that shooked Zero to his core.

Out of instinct Zero ran away from the Cave as he ran, the movement behind him got quicker.

Zero felt a cold claw tightly grabing his left leg

and the claws piercing deep in his skin, turning his head around Zero saw the figure in much more detail.

It was a Gorefiend, it had long distorted white skeleton arms, a rocky white head with red eyes, a mouth with sharp teeths driping with blood.

Quickly Zero Kicked the Claw grabing his left leg with his right leg, but the four year old boy was just to weak to do any damage.

The Gorefiend lifted Zero up into to the air quickly and quickly Smashed the little boys body back onto the hard grass floor.

BAM

But the Gorefiend didn't stop there it did it again and again and for the third time as Zero body hit the hard grass floor he fell unconscious.

Waking up in pain, Zero found himself laying lifeless on the hard cold grass floor, he looked up at the moonlight sky to see it was already dark, mustering all his strength Zero sat up to see the Gorefiend body separated from eachother, those long white skinny skeleton arms separated from the main white rocky, spiky chest, the long skeleton skinny spiky legs with sharp claws as the feet separated and finally it's rocky spiky distorted head separated from the body.

Zero was in shock, * what happened * he thought, but before he could process it, he heard out in the distance his name being called.

"Zero!" "Zero! "Zero!" "Where are you!"

said multiple groups of people.

In pain and exhausted Zero still managed to muster up a yell "HELP ME!".

Zero heard multiple footsteps hitting the hard grass floor as they quickly moved towards his direction and he saw multiple light sources all close to eachother.

The footsteps getting closer and the light sources, Zero could finally make out a group of the Orphanage staffs and them holding torches.

In pain and exhausted, Zero fell onto his back and went unconscious...
