From there the greatest hero of the world will be born, so was I told by the shinigami!" The genjutsu ended and Onoki just stared at the corpse still sitting if nothing had happened, he flew away thinking about what he was told.

In the cave system under the village that lead the people to mainland and a caravan of Uzumaki clan members traveled all beaten or wounded there were almost 30 people at the start of their journey only 10 of them world survive to Konoha and from there 5 would die in beds. Leaving only one seal master, two jonin and Two chunin to carry the clan as Kushina was elected to be their head once she was of age as the great granddaughter of the last Uzukage.

Au: After checking and going insane. I figured out when Uzushio would have fallen and that's during the second shinobi world war. Because of the ages of three characters and the deaths of two. I used Sasori as the reference point as we know his parents died during the second shinobi war. We also know that Sasori is 35, the same age as Kushina and Minato would have been if they lived on!

This means The second shinobi war took place when Kushina and minato were about 10-15 the important detail is this however. The second Shinobi war was everyone against Konoha. Another thing to remember is that the second shinobi war lasted at least 5 years, because of Dan's death and Jiraya leaving the ame orphans. edit: So this fic will continue from the second year of the war as of that point. mostly because the effort destroy Uzushio kind over taxed their expectation.

Ok about the death sage thing. Mainly because I thought it would be cool and second because the uzumaki have this odd connection with Shinigami even though they're most well known for their longevity. I thought they used their longevity and sold years of their lives to shinigami allowing them to use techniques that in all rights are Forbidden. Like the reaper death seal, it is the most metal justu there is!
