A Disturbing Thought

Greg admired the lady before him as she oozed a confidence born from years of managing business enterprises. Her words were very formal too as she was watching the way she talked to him so as not to come off aggressive or bland.

She wanted to hold his attention span and she was very good at it. Greg could see why the company needed her.

Someone called her from across the table as she stood up to collect whatever was being given to her. Her voluptuous body accentuated with curves came into view which made it even more for Greg to look away.

She could get a job as a very sexy model and no one would blink about it. She was the definition of sexy with her body being capable of holding people's attention like a magnet.

"Thank you," she smiled at the person before settling back into her chair.

Isabella's allure lied not only in her physical attributes but also in the way she carried herself about with an air of grace and self assurance.

Greg found it hard to look away from her but he could tell that she was very good at her job and she could get people to listen to her without breaking away.

She was that good. The way she talked and the way she carried herself showed she was organized and had administrative talents to perfection.

Everyone in the room looked like they would fall apart if she was not there.

Yes Kieran had his whole thing going for him and Alex was also very smart and calm but this woman was something else.

Greg wanted to ask for the ages of the other two that had introduced themselves earlier but decided against it. He would leave them to be. As time would pass he would learn more about them and her too.

He knew she held secrets he would want to know about and that was what he wanted from her.

He wanted to know what made her tick and know about her life because as much as she looked organized and all she had something hidden deep within her.

He could tell because what he gave out to people was different from who he was on the inside.

She also looked like a no-nonsense person who stood for unwavering dedication, resilience and she seemed like an irresistible force.

The heir could tell that one of these days she would be the one he would rely on and he couldn't wait for that day to show up. He had so many questions to ask her and he was going to do it when they would meet later on.

***

While Greg checked the lady out, admiring what he was seeing by her attitude and her physical appearance, Isabella on the other hand had her eyes on him.

She was taken aback when he had entered the room but had heard so much about him so she knew who he was.

She had found it hard to believe that the man was the one who would be running every operation.

At first she had wanted to protest against anyone running the operation if it was not the butler or Hudson but knowing that she was only a secretary had shut her mouth.

She knew where her authority started and where it ended. Of course she had wanted to speak her mind during the time she had been told with the rest of the team but she had to keep her mouth shut.

The butler that had broken the news to them had made explicit instructions for them to be as welcoming as they would be to Hudson yo the new heir and he also wanted them to be themselves.

That was one-sided seeing as Greg had appeared before them in a terrible outfit and he was supposed to be the one they would respect and entrust the company to.

She shook her head to get back to the present, looking around to see that everyone had accepted the man as their own leader but she still had her doubts. She could tell that Greg was just a newbie and would have problems dealing with them.

She could submit to him but not wholeheartedly as her loyalty still lied in Hudson.

Isabella believed that her wealth of experience and exceptional skills were not to be trifled with, but even with that, if there was the wrong person leading, everything would crash.

She knew she could single-handedly handle multiple tasks at once with ease and her ability to adapt swiftly to solve so many problems was remarkable seeing as she was efficient in those areas.

However, she was still skeptical about Hudson's decision and called it a fluke.

She watched the man with a suspicious look on her face. She could tell that he was going to be the downfall of the company and if it ever happened what would she do about it. Nothing of course, because she was a no…"

"Hey," someone whispered from across the table as she looked up to see Kieran smiling at her with a worried look on his face. "Are you okay?"

Amidst the chaos in the room and her own intrusive thoughts, she could still hear his words.

"Yeah," she smiled, forcing it so much that Kieran could see that there was something wrong.

"You're lying," was his closing statement before he leaned back into his seat.

She looked away from him and the heir to the people around who were discussing random things before looking down at her hand.

"Hey, you seem sad," the person sitting close to her noticed. "Did Kieran call you names again?"

"No," Isabella smiled at her neighbor. "I think I'm just tired, that's all."

"Aren't we all?" the man chuckled, getting Isabella to give off a fake chuckle but her mind was still stuck on the troubles which were still roaming in her mind.

Was Greg going to destroy the company or build it better?
