Saved By The Alpha Who Turns Out To Be My Mate

"Not here, weakling! We're going to meet at the stream close to the pack's border in an hour, then you can show me what you got." He informed her. "Fine, challenge accepted! But if I defeat you, you're going to stop bullying me and leave me be!" Aurora gritted out. "Sure." He replied her. "The hatred I have for you will stop when you're no more. Over there, nobody will come to your rescue and I can finally tear you apart. Nobody disrespects Dante and go scot free!" Dante thought inwardly as he walked away. Aurora's life was supposed to be perfect as she was of a noble birth but unfortunately, it was nowhere near perfection. Her father was the beta, the second in command to the Alpha of their pack and her mother was one of the pack's strong warriors. As she was the first daughter, she was treated like a flower, sheltered from harm, sadness, disturbance and trouble, and was only exposed to pure joy, pure love, happiness and everything beautiful while growing up but her life wasn't full of roses, as she grew older! Growing up, she had believed she would be normal like every other werewolf in her pack and the entire werewolf community, but alas, she was strangely different. She was the only werewolf in her pack that had no wolf, an inner animal, thus she was treated like an outcast. While other werewolves got their wolves on their sixteenth birthdays, hers refused to show up. Not even when she turned eighteen. Not even when she met her mate!!!

Second Meeting

It was another day at school.

"Stop jumping around, you're distracting me." Elias cautioned his wolf. His wolf was getting excited as they neared the classroom he was supposed to teach.

"How can I calm down when our mate's lovely scent is filling up my senses? This cinnamon and lavender is nose blinding! I know you're also affected by it but why the pretense?" His wolf retorted.

"This is not a pretense. It's being focused on what's more important." He replied his wolf.

"And what's more important than our mate?" His wolf asked.

"Many things that you know of. I'm tired of explaining to you over and over again. We are not going to have anything to do with our mate. We can't! We're going to reject her as soon as she finds out." He informed his wolf firmly.

"Huh!" His wolf retreated back to a corner in his head, sulking.

"We must be focused." Elias stated and walked into the classroom.

"Good morning, handsome teacher Elias." The class greeted him, all smiles.

"Good morning class. I hope you're all doing well?" He inquired.

"Yes, we are." They replied in unison.

"Good. Now, let's get right to it. You all remember where we stopped last time, right? Open your textbooks to that page, please." He instructed the class.

"Excuse me, sir!" A girl from the back seat, called out.

"Yeah, what is it?" He inquired.

"Have you found your mate already?" The girl asked out of the blues.

That was so random and it took him unaware.

"I believe I have made it known to everybody that I won't be divulging any personal information like that. I'm sorry. Shall we get right to our business?" He stated the last part more like a statement than a question.

"Please tell us. We all want to know!" The class shouted.

"Why can't he share such little info about himself? Don't you think he's being too secretive?" Katie whispered to her friend.

"I know, right." Aurora stated, frowning. She also found herself wanting to know that much about him.

"Huh, okay, I will tell you." He sighed as he listened to the class' murmurs. The whole class was attentive.

Even his wolf perked up his ears to hear what he would say.

Before talking, Elias glanced at his supposed mate and couldn't fathom the expression she had on. She was expressionless and that made Elias made up his mind, quickly.

"I haven't found my mate yet." Elias announced.

"You liar!" His wolf snapped at him but he wasn't bothered.

"Ohhhh, then we can shoot our shot!" Some girls in the class, exclaimed with excitement. He smiled and shook his head.

"He hasn't found his wolf yet and his mate is definitely not in our class or school, now girls will be on his tail." Katie giggled.

"Huh! Those shameless girls with no dignity. They really need to know that it's not every he-wolf they should go after." Aurora said, angrily, clenching her jaw.

"And why are you getting angry? At least he isn't your mate or of anybody you would know." Katie peered at her angry friend, surprisingly.

"How sure are we that he isn't going to be the mate of somebody we know? What if he's my sister's mate? What if he is your..." Aurora couldn't complete the sentence.

"My sister's mate? Well, I don't have a sister! And he isn't mine because I would have known." Katie completed.

"Girl, chill. Stop helping his mate to get jealous." She added and patted his friend's shoulder.

"Hello o, girl, what are you saying? Who says I'm getting jealous for somebody." Aurora protested. Katie chuckled at her denial.

"So class, can we be serious now? Our time is going gradually!" Elias told the class, while stylishly glancing at his supposed mate to know what she was feeling or saying.

He could hear what she was quietly saying but he didn't know what to make of it.

Class ended and it was lunch time.

"Oh my! Look at our handsome teacher, Elias! Let's go say hello to him." Katie informed her friend and started dragging her along.

The girls were on their way to the school cafeteria while Elias was strolling around the premise.

"Hi, Elias. I'm Katie, one of your students." Katie introduced herself and extended her hand for a handshake. Elias took it and smiled at her.

"Oh yeah, I know your face." He told her.

"Here's my friend, Aurora!" Katie said and Elias turned to look at Aurora.

As their eyes met, their hearts skipped a beat.

"I knew it. I have guessed she would have a very lovely name just like her appearance. Our mate's name is Aurora." Elias' wolf jubilated while Elias himself tried to keep calm. His wolf was forcing him to react with excitement.

On the other end, Aurora didn't understand why she was blushing as their eyes met. She was feeling something pleasurable she couldn't explain as she was in a close proximity with him.

"Say hello to our teacher, Bestie." Katie nudged her as she realized she was just staring at the teacher.

"Hello, Elias." Aurora stated gently as she jolted back to reality.

"Hi, Aurora." Elias stated tasting her name on his tongue. That act alone sent shivers down his spine.

That was the effect of the mate bond. Intense!

"Huh!" Aurora cleared her throat embarrassingly and dropped the hand she had extended to him for a handshake since he wasn't taking it like he did with Katie.

"Any physical contact with her can awaken the mate bond and it will make it harder to reject her." Elias said inwardly to his wolf who was becoming angry.

"Eat something delicious for lunch, alright. Bye girls." He quickly said to them and started walking away.

"What just happened? Did he just avoid me?" Aurora muttered sadly.

"What just happened? Did she just bluntly refuse to acknowledge that we're mates?" Elias wondered unhappily as he walked on.
