Arriving in a Strange Realm

It would have been a verdant picturesque sight with enormous plants and colorful floral shrubs sprouting on fertile soil as if the gardeners and planters planned them randomly in various locations. Regardless, their aesthetics was something to behold as they contributed to the harmonic convergence of nature where two rivers met and enlarged into one, streaming through a steep cliff, cascading a large stream of river water down more than four thousand meters to fall.

The scenery beneath that cliff from the cascading waters could take anyone's breath away. Reveling in the wondrous and fiery blossoms of azalea trees and pinkish-violet leaves of certain trees to continually attract pollinators from springtime to autumn would convey relaxation to a cultivator as the sight could inspire a spontaneous composition of poems.

The romantic allure of nature on this part of the continent might have pulled in humans and could entice conquerors to possess that parcel of land as part of their territory or their domain within a sect.

However, what was hidden in this alluring landscape was a plethora of spirit beasts where groups vied for territories and the weak submitted to the stronger beasts to relinquish their ownership.

That fantastical land teeming with different varieties of spirit plants, herbs and trees composed of species that might be beautiful visually but could pose imminent risks to trespassers.

Between the gigantic and protruding root branches underneath a humongous jacaranda tree with its lush purple flowers and violet-colored leaves, orbs of white light became to form. They stretched to a white line as if a magical sword ripped a part of the space with straight-line precision.

The vertical line, forming from white to silvery, started to expand gradually, from the center to a large squarish angle. Iridescent light glowed within that spatial rift where its radiance became more intense. Its brilliance eventually gained attention to the various species living within that fantastical land.

Eventually, as the light from the spatial rift got more scintillating, a white shadowy form was etched at the center of that rift. After a brief moment since the light shadow began to get apparent, a humanoid being with a crystalline body emerged from it.

With a height of around 2.5 meters, the being became more conspicuous as the light from its crystalline body began to dim and the body transformed into that of a normal human. Its height also alleviated to 2 meters.

The body's broad shoulders and muscular physique came into view. Its naked form was eventually wrapped by a black robe.

As the human trudged towards the area where the cascading stream of water was situated in strange territory, the spatial rift was gradually shrunken until it turned into a vertical line of white light. In seconds, it dramatically vanished.

The human who transpired from that spatial rift was Reyson Lang.

"So, this is the realm that I have been dreaming to venture into."

His voice was still hoarse after many incidents he experienced inside the void. Momentarily, he sensed another apparition that transformed into a seemingly normal male with glowing light encompassing his body.

"This is a different continent in the immortal realm. The spatial storm affected our target coordinate. I apologize for that mishap, Master." The male somberly stated as his form followed the first human to emerge from the spatial rift.

"You don't have to fret yourself over that matter. There was nothing you could do. What matters is that we made it through this realm successfully despite…"

Reyson could not manage to continue whatever he wanted to say. Instead, his eyes wandered around the new territory he did not expect to come out from the void. Everything he saw was huge.

The tree closer to the rift where he emerged was so humongous, its roots were even taller than him.

"This is the first time for me to see this gigantic tree. It is not the only one. There are many of them. They even reach beyond the height of that waterfall." Reyson's voice steadily returned to normal. His excitement seeing those trees also began to elevate.

"Indeed. And those plants and their leaves were also huge. But Master…" His divine system companion named, Architect, sensed danger right after Reyson came out from the rift.

"Dangers? I know. My awareness became more acute after my transformation."

More than a hundred meters from where he stood, his cosmic sense scanned a large group of thirty lizard-like creatures having a stand-off with seven giant tortoises.

"Those are not normal beings one could see every day on the Planet Terra. Those are large iguanas, or similar to iguanas in features battling seven mountain-like tortoises."

The Architect's announcement was similar to a stoic reporter who only presented facts and was devoid of exaggerated emotion. Reyson was used to this kind of expression from his divine system though he occasionally heard various remarks relayed in different emotions from his companion from time to time.

"What do you think of their fight? Who would likely win?" Reyson inquired though his hunch told him the battle was evenly matched despite the tortoises being outnumbered.

"The iguana-like creatures were too swift to retaliate whenever the tortoises release mana-infused energy beams from their mouths. However, the tortoises' defenses could not be underestimated."

Reyson was mildly surprised. He responded, "Tortoises are known for their defenses. Those mountain-like tortoises could even be compared to the true dragons."

"Those giant lizards seem to have diluted dragon blood in them. But against those tortoises, those iguanas might lose eventually if they run out of mana energy." The Architect noncommittally stated. "The system learns that the specie is called demon horned iguanas. Iguanas are herbivores on planet Terra. These ones, however, eat meat despite them having a resemblance to the iguanas on that planet. Another difference is the horn between their eyes."

"Something is not right here." The magus from planet Terra slowly sensed danger creeping inside him.

"Master, the iguanas noticed your presence."

"What is the probability of winning over these iguanas?" Reyson's flare in his eyes began to show as he asked the divine system.
