Tóm tắt

Thelize is a perfectionist lady. She grew up as the best of everything she does but when she had come to choose what she will be in the future, it became her dilemma. Shifting from one course to another, she spent a long time in college but ended up as an undergraduate of five courses. Now that she gave up, she became a NEET while living with her older sister. But when her older sister got into an accident she has to do something for her financially which made her to be the assistant of Yuki, her oldest nemesis and ex-boyfriend. Now that she found out that he's the most successful and popular person in the country she begged the gods to give her another chance to live and she'll fix her life.

Chapter 1Goal 1

"Hi!" Yuki walks beside Thelize. She's holding notebooks and her ponytails sways left and right.

Everyone's in their uniform and the sun shines brightly while the wind blows perfectly good for the leaves to dance. Every student shows excitement while other's are happy to see their old friends in their new school.

If he was the old Yuki, he might've skipped classes or be late to avoid the crowd but now that he's given a chance to save Thelize, he will do everything to make her happy and save her from what she suffered.

"Hello?" She whispered while her cheeks blush.

It's rare for Thelize to talk to boys. She's shy around them because she grew up with her sister and boy's are not really welcome in her sister's life. It made her feel vulnerable around boys. Her friends are all girls and she only talks to boys if it is highly needed but she later grew out of it during their high school.

Yuki noticed her blush which made him happy. When they were together, she only blushed once. It was when he confessed to her. After that, she acted comfortable with him. If you will rate their relationship, it was not very romantic. They never felt lovey-dovey because Thelize was too focused in her studies.

They rarely go on a date because they would rather study together. They don't say any sweet words to each other because they will ask questions about the lessons and almost everything they do are related to their academics.

'I promise, I'll make her blush everyday!' he thought while smiling.

"You're Yuki Evans?" She asks while looking at his name plate on his uniform.

"Yeah, yeah. You're Thelize Violet? The sister of the Kindergarten teacher?" He asks. Acting dumb was not his thing so his voice came out as a description rather than a question. Good thing Thelize didn't question why he knows.

"Yeah, that's me," she giggled.

It's also rare that she giggles. Now that he tried to examine her, Thelize is really a sad girl.

"I think we're at the same class," Yuki said while looking straightly at the class list while Thelize tries to enter the crowd to see because she's quite short but Yuki pulled her out from the bloody teenagers who are having an adrenaline rush due to excitement with screeching noises.

"We're at the same class, let's go... where are your friends?" Yuki suddenly noticed, her friends disappeared after they arrived in the building. He looks for them in the crowd but they're nowhere to be found.

"Ah, we're in a different class. It's just me who's not in their class," she whispered while hugging her notebooks.

She looks sad and angry at the same time. Her friends were not real, they just acts like that because she does their homework.

"And I'm here. Don't worry," he smiled at her.

Suddenly, her hormones threw symptoms of feeling infatuated to Yuki. Her heart raced while everything fades and there's only her and Yuki. The noise disappeared and all she can hear is her heart beat and her eyes focused on his smiles.

"Okay," she nods.

They both went to their classroom. Everyone were on their own group while talking and laughing together. There were only two seats beside each other that are not yet taken, Yuki went and put his bag on the chair and took Thelize's notebooks and put them on the desk of the chair beside him.

"Seatmates," Yuki sat down while Thelize is still standing up and is looking at him.

"Why?" he asks.

"I..." she was not able to finish what she wants to say because her heart still beats fast.

While looking at Yuki, he can't be in front because he's too tall but she also wants to seat beside him.

"Stay with me, okay?" She muttered and sat beside him.

Yuki smiled while covering his blush. It's the first time that she said those kind of words to him. It's the most romantic words he heard from her.

"Don't worry, I'll pretend I'm far sighted and wear glasses tomorrow," he chuckled.

----

The first day was not really something you'll like because nothing usually happens. Teacher sometimes will not enter the class. They spent their time talking with other people. To Yuki's surprise, Thelize suddenly socialized to other students. She was too shy earlier but now she's the most talkative person he met.

"Wow, you talk a lot!" Yuki exclaimed while they were walking home.

"Yeah, you'll need that someday," she said while fixing her bag.

Yuki noticed that she's having a hard time with her bag and notes so he took her notes from her.

"I'll carry this for you," he said while holding the notebook.

Thelize suddenly laughed, "You really act different before."

Yuki panicked and stopped while Thelize just walks happily.

"Do you---"

"Yeah! I know you came from the future and you're here to rewrite my destiny!" She looked at him with a smile.

"What? You know?" His face looked disbelief while Thelize laughs her heart-out.

"Yeah, I know. My dreams last night said that. It was true, it said that a guy named Yuki will show up and he'll be my friend and I should listen to him because he came from the future," she wiped her tears from laughing hard.

"What? And you believe?" He sighed, 'What a stupid god.'

"No. I know that I might've met you before so you appeared in my dreams. And... you did change my destiny already, from meeting you, I felt happy because someone noticed me without me having to do anything and for that.. I'm thankful."

'She doesn't know then,' he laughed. She already said things that the old Thelize will not say.

Suddenly, he felt the same thing he did during the first time he was able to go back in time.

His legs felt weak and everything changed to black then the voice suddenly talked, "Hey, I might've made a wrong move. You shouldn't be at this time. He~he~ you should be at the time she first took her first course. You can help her there!"

He looked around but everything is just black, "I thought this was the time she messed up?"

"Uhhh, yeah she did but she fixed it! You made her feel special, and she will carry that until now."

"What? What about us? Our relation?"

"Yeah! You still broke up but the reason's different."

"What? She wanted to be able to stand on her own blah blah because you were always with her."

"Did I read the letters?"

"Yeah, you did. You read each of them and you will still have them now. After you return, you will remember everything that you did."

"What will happen?"

"Depends on you. It's now your dilemma, either you chase her or go your own way."

"I really don't get it."

"You will."

Everything then got too bright and now he's watching their high school graduation.

Thelize is the valedictorian and he's the salutatorian. Her smile was so wide and happy.

He remember it was the reason they broke up. She was too upset that she was not able to be the number one that she hated him.

Then, it skipped to their break-up. He was sobbing while she's also crying her heart out.

"I'm sorry but I want to stand on my own, thanks to you. I got to be the valedictorian, if you didn't gave me an inspiration, I might have let you be the valedictorian. I love you, but i want to find myself."

'What a stupid reason,' he remembered what he said during her speech.

Then, he found himself sitting with her at their favorite restaurant.

'What?' he thought then he suddenly knew that she's asking for help on what course she will take.

"Please, Yuki!"

She's pouting while looking at her list of courses.

Yuki smiled while thinking that this was supposed to happen if only she graduated as the valedictorian. They were supposed to stay as friends. She will not hate him. She will still be by his side.

"Remember, you told me before that you love cooking because of your sister? Why not take culinary then?" He rests his chin on his hand.

"Oh~ yeah! Why didn't I thought of that?" She smiled and wrote a big 'culinary' on her notes and encircled it.

"See? You're thinking too much about popular courses that you forgot about your passion."

He noticed that her list were about medical courses and other things that most adults will tell you to take.

"Thank you, Yuki! You're the best. I will go to the White Institute University, how about you?"

White Institute University was his university before as well, he smiled and nodded, "Yeah, I will go there too."

'If destiny's not on our side, I might've go against it,' he thought.

"I'm sorry If I said that I don't want to see you again before. You know me, I'm an egoist. My sister told me that you're a big part of my life, without you I'm incomplete. You know, even if we're not in a relationship anymore, I want to be your friend!"

After few months, Thelize grew more talkative. Yuki's still the same, he's not very social but he loves Thelize's company.

He suddenly remembered her letter, one of it says that, "No matter what, please stay with me."

"No problem, I'll never leave you!"

They both spend their time chatting about their dreams.

"You know, I wonder, if you weren't the valedictorian, will you still be this cheerful?"

The thought suddenly came out of his mouth while looking at her drinking her tea.

"Hm?" She puts down her tea while frowning.

"I don't know... I don't care whether I'm the valedictorian or salutatorian. As long as I have good grades, I will be happy!"

Her smile was too pure and happy. Yuki never thought that that is how she will view it since during her past life, she hated her position. She hated it that it made her hate herself but now, she's saying that she's happy with whatever grade she will have.

"Why?" He asks while holding his cup of tea.

"Because, you know, when I was still in my middle school... My friends used me for their own. They never treated me as a friend. They always ask for favor but if I were the one who asks, even if it's just to play with them... they always say they are busy but sooner or later, I will find that they were playing together. And then you came, you introduced yourself to me even though I haven't done anything for you, you wanted to be my friend. You never asked for favors and when I ask for help, you will still help me without anything in return. You loved me for who I am not for what I can give you, so I am so happy that I realized that I only needed someone who will be there."

Yuki got so moved by her words that he started crying. He felt the pain that the past Thelize felt.

It's true that most her friends before are only friends if they need anything. He knew it but he didn't do anything about it. He didn't even break her walls, he just stands there waiting for her. He never made her feel that she will not be taken as a toy. He never showed her.

All he does is follow the line she drew between her feelings and her responsibilities. He played safe in her responsibility and never entered her feelings.

He was there but he never showed it. Thelize might've known but with her situation, she never tried to let herself feel that Yuki loves her. She knows but she never felt it. That's why when she lost to Yuki, she hated him.

She saw it in the way that he was using her to drag her down.

His tears and sob won't stop, scaring Thelize. She sat down beside him and tries and calm him down.

"Shush, it's alright... you know, I'm always here if you need me," she hugged him tightly.

She doesn't know why he's crying but she knows that he's in pain.

It might be because they broke up or that he might have thought that she never felt that way towards him.

"I'm so sorry... I'm sorry..." Yuki suddenly cried.

He hugged Thelize tighter, it was like he's trying to make her whole like she was the past Thelize.

She's having a hard time breathing but she didn't break the hug. She knows that something's wrong so even though his tears are making her shirt wet, she didn't mind.

"Don't worry. We'll be together so you don't have to say sorry or anything. We'll be attending the same university right?"

His tears are not for her, it's for the past Thelize who he knew was broken but he just watch as she shatter into pieces of fragments. He knew but he didn't do anything about it.

She didn't need a company, she needed someone who will put her broken pieces together, someone who can mend her.

Her sister's death made her loss all her hope. Her shattered self disappeared into thin air. The small hopes and life into her no longer made her heart beat or her lungs to function.

She drowned in her own tears. She suffocated herself with her own cries.

Yet now, here she is. Happy and excited about life. He thought it will be hard to save her.

It was just his simple 'hi' that saved her.

"We'll graduate together, have my restaurant and your own hospital... Isn't that beautiful? So stop crying."
