So That Was Him

"Will you just leave me alone?" the girl inside wrote in the glass with obvious anger.

"If you really want me to leave you alone then you would have closed the curtains already. Placed some barricades. But you couldn't," the girl outside replied.

The girl inside couldn't answer back for no matter how many times she tried, she couldn't pull it close.

"Just stay away," she instead said after a while before turning her back.

The girl from the outside had been trying to pull her back to the enjoyment as she goes on different more places.

Then she would see a note from her saying to leave her alone. But she never saw her close the curtain at all.

As she was thinking about this, she noticed that the girl inside was looking at her with a frown. As if she was thinking something but didn't know how to ask.

"What is it?" she wrote.

The girl snapped out of her thoughts and turned her back, not replying.

The girl outside shrugged when her sight turned blurry.

She closed her eyes and turned around, she can feel it. It is getting closer but she still couldn't do anything about the girl inside.

'We ended up in this position just because we met,' she thought with a sigh before looking up in the sky.

'I had always wondered about the reason I was able to move from place to place. I guess it was because of this, because of her,' she kept thinking.

She glanced back at the window, 'The purpose of my existence is to change yours, I guess?'

"Amethyst, can't we talk?"

The next day, just as Amethyst returned to the hospital, she ended up meeting Adam outside the hospital.

"Talk about what?" she asked before passing by him.

"Amethyst," he called holding her in the wrist.

"Let me go or I'll have the guard to take you away from me," she sharply said.

Adam let her go, "Please, I just want to speak with you."

"If that thing didn't happen in the past then maybe we could still talk in a civil manner but have you gotten an amnesia? Have you forgotten how you mocked me when I was the one who did everything and you knew it best other than Emerald," she shook her head and said.

Whenever they talk, sometimes they would talk about her stories. And so he knew just who wrote the stories that Emerald submitted but he actually chose to mock her with everyone.

"I know I was wrong. I was the worst back then. But please listen to me, I really am sorry. I really am regretful of what I have done," he asked in a very sincere tone.

Amethyst just shrugged and turned around.

"Amethyst," he once again stopped her.

"Stop, will you? I have already listened. What else do you want from me?" she asked pulling her hand from his grip.

"I am asking you for forgiveness," he asked again.

Amethyst couldn't help but laugh, "You are asking me for forgiveness?"

Her face showed just how much in disbelief she was with the current situation.

"Let me ask you this," she looked at him straight in the eyes.

"If your company isn't doing well right now, you wouldn't be coming here right? I know for a fact that Emerald had told you that she had seen me here. And knowing her, I know that she must have had me investigated."

Adam blinked after hearing what she said, "It's not like that."

"Oh please, it is like that. Why would you suddenly appear after Emerald found me? The answer is too simple that I even want to laugh at this novel like happening to me," she scoffed.

Must be because she was able to stand up at him from yesterday, but she has more courage to speak up now.

She really didn't like fighting and would rather step aside once trouble starts rushing towards her.

But this person is too persistent that she didn't mind facing him and telling him everything she has to say.

"That is not true, I was looking for you for so long now. And I really want to ask for your forgiveness. I was wrong, I made such a grave mistake and I really apologize for that," he said sincerely.

She smiled sarcastically, "Indeed if I didn't saw you back then. The way you looked at me. The way your subordinates looked at me. And the way our father looked at me with contempt? I would have believed you now."

She then shook her head, "But alas, I saw so much that you are no longer capable of moving me with that I don't know whether true, sincere tone of yours."

Before Adam could say more, Amethyst crossed her arms over her chest and speak up.

"Admittedly, I was also at fault for the reason why our relationship fell apart. I should have given it more attention, our relationship, I mean. Then maybe we wouldn't have ended the way we did."

She sighed, "But I think my fault was only up to that. And what you have done is what caused our relationship to fall up to this point. So just leave me alone."

After saying this, she turned and entered the hospital.

Adam clenched his hands into fists and gritted his teeth.

Just as he turned to leave, he received a call.

"Have you spoken with her?"

"I… have."

"Basing it from your tone, it seems that she has refused to even speak with you and hear you out," the one on the other side speak up.

He pursed his lips.

"YOU BASTARD!!! IT IS BECAUSE YOU AND THAT WOMAN FED ME LIES THAT WE ARE LOSING SO MUCH RIGHT NOW!!! GET THAT PERSON BACK HERE BEFORE I MYSELF THROW YOU OUT OF THE HOUSE!!!"

After roaring to the earth's end, he dropped the call and all Adam could do was to stare at his phone before cursing while looking back at the hospital and turning to leave.

Just as Amethyst have said, he really didn't come here to apologize to her, instead he was here to bring her in front of his father.

The company was losing more and more profit over the past month after Emerald had published the latest book under Astral.

"So that was him," Eduard spoke.

He and Slate was actually on the side and saw how Amethyst and Adam interacted until Adam left.

"Just as I thought, they would be coming for her," Slate replied as the two of them entered the hospital as well.

"Do you think you can do it?" he then asked Eduard.

"Don't worry, I may not look like it but I have a good standing in the company. Especially if I were to introduce someone as great as her in writing," Eduard gave him a thumbs up after saying all this.

Slate smirked, "I guess I leave her to you then."

Eduard's look at him changed after hearing him say that, "Leave her to me? Hoho, I wonder just how far your relationship had gone to that you actually worry this much about her."

Slate raised an eyebrow at him before turning to leave, he still has his duty.

Eduard laughed before going to Scarlet's room.

He can tell that the two of them have really became closer after everything that they were going through.
