CHAPTER 84

Jia passed out for a whole day. She felt warm energy jolt her back to consciousness. The first thing she woke up to was Junshi's smile

"You're not hard to find, " Junshi said flashing a smile

Jia ignored him and didn't even spare him a glance.

" Are you mad at me? " Junshi asked pitifully

Jia didn't even spare him a glance and walked out of the door. Junshi could easily stop her but he let her go. He sighed sadly

"Wait" Junshi tried to say

Jia was far gone from his sight. She was curled up in a corner staring around

Junshi soon found her and took a seat beside her

"What's wrong?" Junshi asked with concern

He tried to touch her face but he was denied.

He got no response from her

"I'm sorry okay? I know I wasn't supposed to do that." Junshi said with a soft smile

Junshi's smile was very contagious

"Fine. I forgive you" Jia replied with a smile

"Get u,p," Junshi said extending his hand to her. Jia almost touched it and he withdrew his hands.He vanished

Jia had a devilish grin on her face. She activated all-seeing eyes and pinpointed his location. She pressed a katana to his neck. His adrenaline reaction kicked in

"Shh. Go now " Jia whispered

Junshi smiled in relief. He decided to play along

She led him to a secluded area and tied him up

"Let's play a game," Jia said with a smile

"So, you like her that much that you guys were together for four days? " Jia questioned

" I like her. I always did. She's just a scaredy cat. I still love her anyway " Junshi replied blushing

Jia threw her hands up in the air

" What can I say? There's this novel I used to read in which the male lover got killed and the female killed herself. I've always wanted live-action " Jia announced

"Go ahead," Junshi said without flinching although his eyes suggested something else

"Get lost" Jia replied with a smile and sashayed away

Jia felt a strange arm on her shoulder

It was Junshi's arm

"Let's go pumpkin" Junshi smiled

Jia surprisingly found herself liking the name

" Whatever, Cherry " Jia countered

Junshi stared at her for a while and shrugged. They walked into a sort of training ground. There were different bows and arrows. There were also stationary targets and moving targets

" Want to play? " Junshi asked skimming his hands over the bow and arrow

"Sure. If you ~ Never mind" Jia said looking at the bows and arrows. She found one she liked. A black crossbow embellished with several designs and golden arrows

"Know how to use that?" Junshi asked expecting a reaction. Jia shook her head

"Cherry, teach me" Jia purred putting on the baby's face

"Pumpkin, I will do just that. I think I like that name. Cherry " Junshi said adjusting his stance

He taught her how to use it and she finally got it after several exhausting hours

Jia was about to take her first shot. She aimed at the stationary target. Somehow, the arrow missed its trajectory and ended up in Junshi's palm. It was firmly embedded in his palm. Blood slowly dripped from the wound to the ground

Jia also felt the same excruciating pain in her hand.

"Pumpkin. After I told you. Well, I'm going to pull it out so you have to endure this " Junshi warned

He took a deep breath and hesitated to remove the arrow

"Cherry, do it. I will endure it" Jia said firmly

Junshi closed his eyes and brutally pulled it out. Jia screamed in pain

"Pumpkin? Don't cry " Junshi said pulling her into a bear hug

Jia inhaled his scent and fell asleep on his arm

" You're so cute " Junshi murmured lowly

He returned to the palace and put her on his bed. He made sure he was comfortable and then waltzed away

HOURS LATER

Jia awakened with an ice pack on her palm

"I've been passing out a bit too much these days. I got to ask Xue" Jia said with a frown

"Xue " Jia called out

"What?" Supreme Xue asked with a frown

"What's wrong with me. I figured out that I've been passing out a bit too much" Jia explained

"That's because your soul is injured.Gotta go. I'm busy" Supreme Xue explained disappearing

"Pumpkin is awake" Junshi announced waltzing in

"Cherry" Jia acknowledged with a smile. This was the first time Jia would break into a smile upon seeing someone

"How do you feel now," Junshi asked in concern

"I'm good. Thank you" Jia replied with a smile

"Little pumpkin, you made me worry about you. Don't you think you should pay me back?" Junshi said dramatically

"Oh well I," Jia said with a red face

"You owe me one" Junshi said moving close to her

Junshi kissed her cheek and patted her head

"Little pumpkin, let's go," He said reverting to his normal cold expression

Jia got up and followed Junshi

Junshi was moving at a very fast speed

"Try to keep up Pumpkin" Junshi said and vanished

Jia didn't bother to go after him. She decided to take a break

Junshi reappeared after

" Pumpkin, what's wrong? " Junshi asked with a frown

" Nothing " Jia replied

Junshi flashed a cute smile

Jia found herself moving at a fast pace

" Where are you gooiinnggg," Jia asked

" We're here " Junshi replied in a low voice

They appeared in some underwater environments. A crown was sealed in a crystal box

" Cherry, What are we doing underwater," Jia asked with the frown

" Pumpkin! Don't yell, " Junshi said in a loud whisper

The place started to rumble. The water turned chaotic.

" Why is this old monster still alive? " Junshi asked in horror

It was a sea kraken.It was extremely huge It had an uncountable number of tentacles that moved from time to time. Its appearance alone was enough to give a person goosebumps

" Cherry, I think we should leave," Jia said trying to make a run for it

The Kraken used one of its tentacles to block the only exit

" Jia, stay close to me, " Junshi said, his expression turning serious

Junshi closed his eyes and levitated in the air in a sitting position. His hands were in a cross sign

The Kraken tried to attack but its attacks were futile

A black flame started to form around him. It formed a kind of encirclement around him

The flame danced around him lightly. The black flame increased in size by the minute

Junshi opened his eyes. His eyes turned pitch black

Black marks were on his face

He controlled the flame and aimed it at the Kraken's core

At first, nothing happened but later, the Kraken started to move violently. It thrashed around in pain. Its body eventually sunk to the bottom

He retracted the flame and his face returned to normal

Junshi began to absorb the life energy of the Kraken until the Kraken turned into dust

He had a devilish smile on his face

" We were interrupted. Let's do what we we're here for " Junshi said moving towards the crown

Jia was frozen on the spot

" Pumpkin, " Junshi called out but received no response

He sighed in realization and sent a soul ray to her. She eventually stirred

" Who are you, " Jia asked subconsciously moving back

" Your Cherry " Junshi replied with a smile

" Let's go then, " Junshi said pulling her along with him
