CHAPTER 33: ACQUIRING THE EMPEROR PHOENIX FLOWER; KHLOE

" I knew," Jia said while Damon frowned.

"Good job guys," Jia said to her subordinates.

She took out the cores from the nine suns and gave them to each of them.

Since Zi had no use for them, she kept two to herself.

Jia placed her hands on them and converted them into her subordinates.

When she was done, she was out of energy, so she popped the two cores into her mouth at once.

A yellow light surrounded her showing that the cores had immense energy.

Jia shut her eyes and began to absorb the energy.

[Ding!]

[Mental attack detected]

[Mental attack blocked] The system announced.

Jia tried to open her eyes but all she saw was black.

She had fainted.

Her subordinates gathered around her trying all sorts of methods to wake her up, but nothing was working.

Jia saw the two suns exerting pressure on her.

[Ding!]

[Mental attack detected]

[Low mental fortitude]

[Attack cannot be blocked] The system said hurriedly

Suddenly, a power that wasn't hers erupted within her.

It gave a dark and eerie feeling.

It resisted the pressure from the sun and forced them to kneel before her

"Little girl, what in the world is this," Damon asked with a charming voice.

Everything blurred and she saw her subordinates looking worried.

"Is everything okay?" Jia asked concerned.

"You're alive" They all exclaimed.

"We thought you were dead as you had been unconscious for a week," Zi said while the others nodded.

" I'm not dead, "Jia said looking alarmed that she'd been out for a week.

[Ding! The host has leveled up+5] The system announced.

" I feel powerful. Level 30. Which means I'm on the same level as Zi now" Jia said with a sigh.

'System, what happened back then?' Jia asked.

[Host, I helped you a little bit] The system said childishly.

Jia shrugged.

"Let's enter the red cave," Jia said signaling to her subordinates.

She observed them and saw that they had all leveled up except Zi.

This was because Zi could not digest cores and convert them into energy.

"Damon, what can help a war machine level up?" Jia asked.

"Pills. The war machine can also cultivate but there's a technique for that." Damon said.

Jia checked and saw that she still had an extra Qi-gathering pill

She stuffed it in his mouth.

"BOOM"

A white fog enclosed him, and the Qi formed a vortex above his head as he rapidly absorbed it.

[Ding!]

[Zi has leveled up+3]

The system announced.

[Host has received a surprise for subduing the nine suns

Enjoy] The system said giggling

A big box appeared in her hand

The box was heavy, so Jia had to throw it down.

"What is in here" Jia wondered.

opening the box, she saw another war machine in the box with a cultivation technique and some old dusty books.

The war machine was a girl with her eyes closed.

[Ding!]

[Host has acquired a new subordinate. Would you like to name it.]The system asked.

"Name it, Khloe," Jia said.

[Ding!]

[I will currently be undergoing a system update] The system announced

Jia nodded.

Entering the red cave was no easy task.

There was a guardian beast that had been asleep for thousands of years.

It was a fire dragon.

Jia and her crew managed to walk past it without alerting it.

She stopped after seeing the mirror plant.

It was like a normal plant but with transparent leaves and flowers.

Beside it growing was the dark flower

It was a beautiful pitch-black flower in the shape of a bell.

She stopped to pick it up.

" It's just one thing left now. And I can go...home" Jia said trailing off.

"The sap of the ten-thousand-year-old ginseng?" Jia thought.

She looked mortified at the thought.

"Girl, you might not use ginseng. You can use the energy fruit. That's a little secret" Damon said with a grin.

Jia nodded and headed back out of the red cave carefully without alerting the dragon.

Liyu stared at the dragon for a long time and then stared at Feng, but no one knew what was running through his mind.

"Damon, get us out of here," Jia said.

She beckoned to all of them, and she told them to stay near her.

Damon sighed dramatically and drew an infinity symbol with transported them back to the underworld.

"Infinity; Always and Forever" Jia muttered.

The underworld looked very lively as usual.

She entered her room and took out her linker.

She sat on the bed and typed a message to Femzi telling him that she was back but that he should not disturb her until tomorrow.

Her tiger meowed and she rubbed its head.
