CHAPTER 15: TOMB RAIDING

A FEW HOURS LATER

*Yawns*

"Today is a good day, "Jia said looking around, only then did she see a big snake curled up next to her.

" Holy Mary" She exclaimed killing the snake.

She got up and decided to keep going.

"Uh system, how do I get out of here," Jia asked the system slightly panicking

[There's a time limit. After the time limit, I'm gonna kick you back out] the system said as a matter of fact.

"Hmph." She snorted before continuing forward smacking her lips.

She saw a big cave with plenty of beautiful minerals from diamonds to rubies to emeralds.

"Ha, this is pure theft. Hahaha, I'm rich" she said picking them up.

As she walked in, she got into an inner chamber with intricate designs.

" This is beautiful "Jia exclaimed looking around.

[Ding! Would you like to sign in at the mass burial site of archaic emperors?] The system asked.

"Ah, tombs again "Jia muttered.

" Yes," She replied to the system.

[Received poison immunity] The system said.

"Poison?!" Jia exclaimed looking around.

Then a purple mist-shrouded her but later dispersed

"These emperors are something," Jia said breathing hardly.

She entered the first section of the tombs and saw some inscriptions on the wall.

"Poison King" She muttered examining the wall.

She saw a whole lot of poison materials from poison recipes to poison antidotes.

" Mhm, it's time to play bandit, "Jia said as her eyes curved into slits.

She stuffed everything in her space ring.

Then she saw the corpse of the poison king still as fresh as a normal human

" Creepy. "she said eyeing the corpse.

[Ding! Blood sea unlocked] The system announced.

" Yep, I knew it. Corpses" Jia said knowingly.

"What can blood sea do "Jia asked the system.

[It absorbs the blood essence of corpses] The system said curtly.

The blood sea came alive, and it was a pool of blood swirling around.

" Cool, "she said menacingly ordering it to absorb the blood essence.

It went back and she sat down to cultivate.

FEW HOURS LATER

[Ding! The host has leveled up. +2000 in all stats

Ding! The host has received the art of poison] The system announced again.

"Poison..." Jia said trailing off, she saw a couple of stones.

"These look like spirit stones...." Jia said picking them up.

[Host! Your time here is just three hours left. So please hurry up] The system said.

"Oops," she said rushing into the second section.

" I just hope Kay doesn't eat all that stuff, "Jia said to herself crossing her fingers.

The second section was that of a healer.

" Cool, I would need this," she said remembering her first battle.

After rummaging through the stuff left behind, only one book was useful on the battlefield.

"Not cool, just only one useful thing?!" Jia said disappointed. She asked the blood sea to absorb the blood essence, but she didn't cultivate it yet.

The third section was interesting. It was that of a demon queen.

A couple of bats appeared as if guarding the tomb. But it was an array formation. An offensive and defensive array

"Array formations are quite impressive," Jia said looking for how to crack the array without getting chopped into pieces.

MINUTES LATER

"Too powerful. You impress me your royal highness" Jia said bowing before the corpse of the demon queen.

"Demons sure have some useful things," Jia said looking at a key with some inscriptions on it.

It read:

KEY TO THE NETHERWORLD

"Nope," she said dropping the key.

She picked up some demon techniques and a black elixir.

"Goodbye, your highness. Rest in peace" Jia said leaving the third section.

"Tomb raiding is so much fun," Jia said with a smile.

[Host! One hour left]The System announced.

Jia's expression darkened instantly.

" Two more tombs," Jia said entering the fourth one.

The fourth one was more of a horror chamber. Skulls hung everywhere with candles and. weird inscriptions.

It was pitch black there making it nearly impossible to see.

"Witch or summoner," Jia asked almost terrified.

" Yep, it's a witch, "Jia said not believing her eyes, and left almost immediately

"I'm not witchy," Jia thought to herself.

Then she entered the fifth one

" King of flames" She read aloud

Different fire formations and fire arrays strewed across the floor

"Hasty burial huh," Jia said scanning the perimeter.

She picked up a red ruby.

Then she saw a hidden door in the wall. She tried to open it but it wasn't working.

"Crazy, Don't tell me it's another array," Jia said frowning

" These emperors and their tricks" She growled while the blood sea did its job

[Ding! The host will be transported out of this gateway in 5,4,3,2,1...] The system said beginning a countdown.

A bright light flashed, and she was back where the body of the dead guardian was.

She sat down and cultivated all of the blood essences.

3 HOURS LATER

[Ding! The host has leveled up.

The host has leveled up!

+3000 in all stats]

The system said.

"System, didn't you say level 10 is the highest" Jia said her eyebrows raised.

[I . ..I was talking about Yang then] The system said.

"Hmph" Jia snorted at the system.
