There was no moon tonight, and it looked like rain was on the way. Luo Qiao arrived with more than twenty minutes to spare before the agreed time. By the time she had the goods ready, she could already hear the sound of a car.
After welcoming the visitor and settling the bill, the driver, on his way back to carry the last of the goods, handed Luo Qiao a bag of something.
Luo Qiao asked, "What's this?"
The driver replied, "We brought back some fruit from down south on this trip, and I grabbed a couple for you. Don't think it's too little, just taste it."
Luo Qiao laughed and said, "Then I won't be polite, thank you."
The driver chuckled and said, "No need to thank me, we never eat less of your fish, haha."
After sending the visitor away, Luo Qiao stored the items in her space and then headed towards the village.
She had just come up the small path and was about to head towards her home when she heard voices at the front door of Lu Yichen's house.
