The Hunt (2)

Lukas clicked his tongue. 

"What's the point of hunting if you can't hunt something like that?" 

"Do you even know the purpose of The Hunt? It's to prevent a monster surge from happening. We don't need to hunt the dragons that never come to rampage on our lands."

"How boring."

  "You are the only one who thinks so."

'Not everyone is like you, your grace.'

"If that is not the stake, then it's pretty easy to win."

I rolled my eyes. "You really are the only one who thinks like that."

We dawdled for half an hour before the royal family and the rest of the guests arrived simultaneously. Surprisingly, the queen also attended this time. I forgot to mention that Queen Regina had started appearing ever since the founding ball. 

There was a brief ceremony with the emperor on the lead. He said some things that you are definitely not interested in, and so on and so forth. You know, just the usual affairs.
