Chapter 28: He is still alive...

*Continue from the present*

Rachel and her friends were now carefully went through the mountains where all the dragon lives. When they encounter of one of the dragons, they stop and quickly hide inside near the bush and they barely breath not to make a noise.

Once the dragon past at them they carefully went outside while looking where the dragon went before they walk faster just to left out a sigh since they past another dragon.

They luckily manage to escape past at them and once they get inside Rachel notice something different from before and now. Things begins to different the way it used to be when Rakesh was still here alive.

He knows that something was off since they possibly knows that Rakesh was dead, although it wasn't just becoming weak but still on Rachel's perspective Rakesh was already died cause of the humans.

"Quick! Get in here!" Rachel said and they all run to the safety where they used to lived when Rachel's home destroyed from the monster.

"Woah!" They said unison. Rachel's friends looked amaze of how organize the house from the inside.

"I used to live here, me and my family when our house suddenly destroyed because of the monster, it was perfectly hidden no one enters here..." Rachel said.

"Oh, right I remember that time. But then how the dragons didn't notice this place?" Stacey ask.

"I don't know either, they said this place is sacred. And once the monster or dragon enters inside it will suck their energy and power making them completely weak and died." Rachel said.

"Do you think Rakesh went here that is why he was now dead?" Dennis ask. Rachel become gloom when she realizes that Rakesh was already gone. "Why does it need say it loud when it was already shown in the first place?" Daisy thought of word.

They went inside and think of a way what is the best way to do it. But first we need to figure out something that can help them get through all the dragons.

But before they could possibly make a plan they heard something from the outside that makes them startled and nervous.

"Quick here!, Get inside!" Rachel said not so loud so only them could hear her.

They quickly ran inside one of the room so they could possibly hide when all of a sudden one dragon appears inside.

It was Reihta, who is transformed into human. They let out a sigh when they know that it was only her when another dragon went inside that made them stop, frozen.

"What are you gonna do about this?" The other dragon said to Reihta.

"I don't know, I should have known it sooner, since Rakesh was in grave pain right now" Reihta said, making Rachel and others find it strange.

"But we have to find this girl, she's the only way for our leader to survive." The other dragon said.

"No! I can't let her get in here again! This is human's fault from the beginning! My brother should know how dangerous was those humans now. We can't even kill them, since they already knows our weakness. There would be nothing change even if my brother get help from that girl." Reihta said.

"I know, but still. We need our leader, I can't let that Garius lead our kind? He is way too ambitious and also greedy! I don't like him." The other dragon said and turned into human.

"But how are we supposed to live like this if he was our currently leader, we can't even make ourselves free"

"We just need something that can help my brother." Reihta said.

"And how are you going to do that? Just admit it Reihta you really don't like that girl for your brother as his mate and owner right?" The other dragon said, Rachel and the other shocked to what they heard and reveal the truth.

"So that is why I felt something pain in my chest" Rachel's thought after what she heard.

"Yes, I don't like her to be my brother's mate. Instead I rather find someone else to be his mate not a human but a dragon like us. I can't even believe that my brother was mated to a human! I can't accept that... Those humans are dangerous. I can't let my brother suffer again because of them." Reihta said.

"This is not the first time he get his mate and also his owner, this is the second time he will get something like that again right?" The other dragon said, Reihta nodded.

"But still my brother was so concern to this girl not minding his self just to protect this girl. I am afraid that soon he will suffer from something that we cannot remove or change it" Reihta said.

"Don't be like that, everything has a reason. Good thing you told me about this... " The other dragon said, who is an elder from the beginning.

"Well, you're the only dragon we could trust. We really thankful to have you as our guide and also like a parent to us." Reihta said. The elder smiled and cares her hair.

"Let's go see your brother, maybe he was bored in his place." The elder said.

"You go ahead, I'll catch up after I brought his food." Reihta said, and the elder transform into dragon and flew out the house.

Reihta sit and let out a sigh, when the coast is clear. Rachel and her friends went out from where they were hidden that surprise Reihta.

"W-wha- How on earth all of you doing here?!" Reihta shouts at them.

"Is it true?" Rachel ask.

"Wait... Are you been here all along?" Reihta ask.

"I wanna know if it was true?!" Rachel asked.

"True what?!" Reihta ask, trying to act dumb in front of her.

"Don't try to mock me, does Rakesh was still alive? And I am his mate and owner?" Rachel ask.

"So, you heard it... Yes, all of that is true. But still. I won't let you get near him." Reihta said.

"But you said that he needs me? Then why you want me to stay away from him?" Rachel said.

"It's because of you!... You are now his weakness..." Reihta said.

"Weakness?" Rachel said.

"Yeah..."Reihta said.

"But I want to help... Please..." Rachel said with pleading eyes. Reihta look at her, but stand on her ground. She knows what's best for her brother but the fact that Rachel was a human she can't accept the fact that her brother's mate was a human and also his owner.

"Rachel... I know how worried you are right now for my brother. But, please understand... I can't accept that you are his mate and also his owner." Reihta said.

"Why? I'm just an ordinary person for your brother. I'm just a human for heaven's sake. What do you think what I can do for him?" Rachel ask.

"You have to be mated..." Reihta said. "And mark him, as your servant" She added.

"Servant?! But- but why he has to be my servant?" Rachel ask.

Reihta sigh and look at her, "Let me first tell you a story where the history starts and all the monsters rise. Before our world became chaos and how we end up having mate and a servant." Reihta said.

Then all of them sit together and waiting for Reihta to continue her story from a long time ages ago.

There must be a clue inside why they needed a master and a mate. Rachel thought this might be a good opportunity for her to understand why the monsters and dragons need to fight even though they were both creatures.

Reihta begin to tell the stories of how everything goes well until there's a chaos that changes their world and how they end up having master.

As well goes on, Rachel and her other friends keep listening to every word Reihta says. They begin to understand why, how, what, it happens.

They begin to realize of how painful was for them as a dragon to become a servant. Of how the monsters betray them to get their revenge and also their part as a creature although it seems that there must be a big part where all the nobility should be different but nevertheless they still wanted to be part of their kind.

There were also monsters who have range and despair to get their attention to be rank up and to be the most powerful creature. But the monster never been blessed to have such a powerful ability that making those dragons become less powerful.

Every word that Reihta said making Rachel realize what does Rakesh feels to get this big responsibility. She knew from the beginning that Rakesh was a prince and Reihta was a princess but being royalty needs to be more powerful. Just like being a leader.

She felt sad knowing that it must be hard for Rakesh for doing this alone. That is why, she made up her mind that she will mark him as her servant and also her mate. Even though it was embarrassing but she has to do it since it was part of begin his owner and his mate.
