3. Proof of innocence

"What are you doing!?" he asked, flushing red as he quickly took off the outerwear of his wedding robes to wrap it around her body.

Lili looked up at him and blinked her eyes innocently, 'what does it look like I'm doing?'

Zhang Zuo looked at her, she was truly beautiful, but he must stick to his resolve, he loves Wanruo. So, he will not let the temptations of her flesh ruin what he already saved for Wanruo.

"I'm heading to the study. You sleep the night here." he said.

"but… what if they see that there's no proof of my innocence tomorrow? They will all think that you are not satisfied with me. I will become the laughingstock… please, husband. Don't leave me like this." She acted out.

Zhang Zuo was not completely heartless. 'Fine, perhaps, I should help her this once. She's not as bad as I thought she was.' He told himself.

So, he took the knife on the table for cutting fruits and slashed his palm. He let some droplets of blood stain the white linen on the bed.

"That would stop people from talking." He said. Then, he left the room to go to his study.

Lili can only stare at him as he left.

Lili wanted to bang her head. Her first attempt to seduce a 2D character just failed. She wanted to cry, not because of her mission regarding Samael, but because of her own personal mission. How could this be? He was already her husband and she still failed to get laid with him.

It was almost tragic, scratch that, it was really tragic! She was even gifted with this body.

Anyway, she shook her head. No use crying over spilled milk. She will get her chance again. Also, perhaps, it was better that nothing happened to them that night, at least she can do some introspection.

Decided not to let things get to her, she started thinking of her situation. Her mission was to seduce Samael and make him fall in love with her. However, where was Samael? Was it possible that her husband was the incarnation of Samael for this novel that's why he was able to say no to her? But isn't he in love with Wanruo? Does that mean that she failed her mission already?

'Ok, maybe my interpretation of my mission was not right. Seduce means that I must entice him into a sexual activity and fall in love is a matter of the heart. So, this must mean that my mission is to have Samael make love to me.' she thought.

Happy with her deduction, she walked to check herself out in the mirror.

Her hair was black, long and glossy, her skin rosy white, her eyes had double eyelids and had a seductive flare, her nose thin and high, and her lips, pouty and red. Wow, her face was so beautiful!

Then, she removed the red robe Zhang Zuo wrapped her in. For being Chinese, Yang Lili's body was voluptuous and perfect. Her bust must be a 36C and her hips, well, she shook her booty in front of the mirror.

She's so lucky! She doesn't know why villainess characters always lose to female leads when they are always given the better specs.

Anyway, she sat and thought of how she should be moving forward from that day on.

Although she has her personal mission, she should also start making plans for her other mission. Now, where and how can she find Samael?

She has to start somewhere. In novels, the characters prone to seduction are the male leads, so she thought that if Samael was reborn here, then most probably, he must be a male lead. Again, this novel has 4, so he should be one of them.

Now, the Assessors of Maat said that Samael is lofty and angelic. Problem was, she was positive that all male leads were lofty and angelic (at least on the outside). So, what should be her next step? She can't lay all her eggs on one basket. Also, she was sure if the FL captures the 4 male leads, then she would not have a chance any longer.

She sighed. This will be difficult.

However, she was up for the challenge. Not that she has a choice. Upon further assessment, she deduced that to increase probability of getting her mission accomplished, she would just need to follow the example of the female lead!

Thankfully, she considered this as just a novel and everyone were simply 2D characters so she can break away from all the inhibition she had in her last life.

So, her new and final plan? Seduce the 4 males, make them fall in love with her, and make love to them four! She needs to start plotting, to make that possible.

'I'm a genius!!!! Hahaha!' she thought laughing like a maniac in her own mind.
