In a world where magic and monsters exist, the strong and talented, those with supernatural abilities were given more privileges than those who had nothing to offer. The weak or poor ones were often left to the mercy of death. A young boy named Quinn wanted to be chosen as a disciple in the revered holy temple. A place designed to train young mages with abilities. But Quinn wasn't gifted nor talented like the others, so he ended up being a servant in the temple, running and attending to their needs. Of course, his parents had died years ago at the hand of the soulless monsters, hence he had no one to look up to. Quinn just hoped that one day, he'll be gifted by the gods. However, his dreams turned into a nightmare when he mistakenly stumbled into a room. There, he caught the high priest of the temple engaged in an immoral act. Who would have thought that behind the veils of the hallowed temple lies a brood of vermin who paraded themselves as mages of light? Determined to keep his rank and status, the high priest accused Quinn of being a vessel of the dark one, an abomination condemnable by death. On the night he was to be executed, Quinn prayed to the gods for guidance, seeking help in their holy names to grant him talents like the others, so that he might escape this terrible fate. However, no answer came. The gods abandoned him. In the bid to practice what he had learned from a certain book where it was stated that some certain sigils and markings will summon the gods physically, Quinn decided to try it out as his last option. Quinn didn't know that the markings he had put down and the incantations he had spoken did not in fact summon any god, except they brought down upon him his worst nightmare. He had summoned a beautiful temptation. The mother of all demons, Lilith.
