Tyrant.(1)

A few days had passed since Kenjaku's encounter with the Absolute Being. After absorbing the being's body and soul, Kenjaku's body continuously evolved in waking moment in an effort to contain the overwhelming power he gained.

And all of this power was being generated from the new orb that had replaced his heart. Even in all his years of battle, he had never seen something like this.

'I still feel as if I haven't touched the cusp of the power I gained. I just need to go raiding again. But...sigh. It's a hassle to have to go through all this set up just to use a gate everytime.'

Currently, Kenjaku sat in a cafe, drinking some black coffee as he looked at the sun setting behind the clouds.

'It would be great if I had someone to do this for me. I could join a guild, but most of them are just filled with weaklings. It won't work. Hm...maybe it's time I bring out one of the souls I kept from the last world. The only problem is...whose body is she going to inhabit?"

Kenjaku sat there for about another hour, deliberating on the matter until nightfall came. Just as he was about to leave, he looked out of the window and saw two figures walking by.

One of them was all too familiar...the other, might just be the answer to his prayers.

'Wait a minute...that's the kid isn't it? Jinwoo. He's gotten much stronger in a short time. From what I know...unless a reawakening happens a hunter can't increase in rank. Jinwoo feels as if he got stronger by at least one rank. If he hasn't been reawakened, then...'

As Kenjaku looked at Jinwoo, he noticed a black shard floating within his body, radiating power all throughout the latter's body. Since he had absorbed the Absolute Being's memories, this power felt all too familiar.

'...Ashborn. The only ruler who became a Monarch in the end. To think, Jinwoo was who he chose to reincarnate in. Heh. That makes things interesting.'

Kenjaku made a mental note of this discovery. In the future, the likelihood that he would have to fight Jinwoo would be high.

'I'll see how things turn out. As for the girl beside him though...'

There was a young woman with blue eyes, fair skin, and long bright orange hair that stopped all the way at her waist. She seemed to be close with Jinwoo from the way she talked to him, but at the same time, Kenjaku could tell by her eyes that they were nothing more than friends.

In fact, her eyes looked like she just went through some trauma.

But that didn't matter to Kenjaku.

'Jinwoo, you don't know it, but you did me a great service today. A B-rank hunter? I think she'll do just fine.'

Getting up from his table, Kenjaku paid with a bank card given to him by the Hunter's Association and left the Cafe, putting eyes on the two as they turned a corner.

'Hunt.'

Kenjaku's viral sonar activated, immediately locating the duo as they got further and further away from him.

'It doesn't matter how far they get...I'll find them.'

Several minutes passed by as Kenjaku sat down at a nearby bus stop and waited, continuously activating his viral sonar. He was waiting for the perfect moment. He was waiting for them to split up.

A few more minutes went by and as one would guess, Kenjaku got his wish.

'Time to move.'

Kenjaku got up, walked down a nearby alleyway and jumped up on the rooftops, speeding across them as he hurried to the woman's location.

In no time, he found her walking through a park, seemingly in her own world as she slowly headed towards the exit.

'Jinwoo is far enough by now. So all I need to do is...'

With incredible speed, Kenjaku jumped off of the building and moved through the park, dashing seamlessly through the perceptions of everyone present.

In seconds, he arrived right behind the woman, covered her mouth, grabbed her and left like the wind.

The older couple walking a few feet behind her gasped in shock when they suddenly saw her disappear into the void.

"Oh! She was a hunter! Hehe, the new generation is looking better and better each day."

[In the Realm Of The Absolute.]

Since Kenjaku was pretty much homeless in the human world, he started using the palace where the Absolute Being died as his home. After all, both the Rulers and Monarchs had abandoned the place eons ago.

Gently placing the woman on the ground as she had already passed out, Kenjaku sat cross legged next to her and opened his palm, causing a purple orb to emerge out of it.

"Since I need someone whose good with business and to help me raid sometimes...this soul is the only option."

Kenjaku forced the soul into the woman's body, causing it to shake violently as her own soul was rapidly consumed by the orb.

A few minutes later, the woman opened her eyes, revealing a deep orange glow within each of her irises.

The moment she locked eyes with Kenjaku, she jumped up and hugged him, her expression filled with happiness.

"Master Jin! You finally-"

"Just call me Kenjaku in this world, Mei. It'll be a bit suspicious if people find out that you started calling me Master out of nowhere."

The woman let him go and thought for a little bit, giving him a small smile as she responded, "Alright, Mas...no, Kenjaku. Where is this place? It makes my soul feel...uneasy."

Kenjaku wasted no time in giving her an in-depth explanation of where she was, why he brought her out first and what he wanted her to do.

"So all you need me to do is handle anything that doesn't pertain to combat. Right, Ken?~"

With a slight nod, Kenjaku responded, "Yeah. And come raiding with me sometimes. That's about it. By the way, what was the name of the original owner of that body? I might have to start calling you by that instead."

As she looked down at her body, inspecting her new "features", she said, "Lee Joohee was her name. A B-rank healer."

"Joohee huh? Nah. I'll just keep calling you Mei. It's easier that way."

The woman suddenly stood up and started stretching her new body, her face turning into one of disgust when she realized how weak it was.

Before she could say anything, Kenjaku interjected, "Don't worry about it. You have pieces of my soul within you. So, gaining strength will not be an issue."

Mei Mei smiled in response, looking around the palace before she walked up to Kenjaku's ear, whispering, "Well, let's get going, Ken~. These gates aren't gonna clear themselves right? And...I think I already know the best way to start."

Kenjaku got up, opened a gate with a wave of his hand and looked at her, suprised.

"What way is that?"

Confidently, she walked out of the gate, her last echoing words being, "Let's start a guild."
