Chapter 151 - to Azalea Town [II]

Articuno! [I never agreed to become your pet. Why do I have to carry another woman on my back?] Even though Sabrina didn't understand what Articuno was saying, she could tell that Articuno was not happy to let another human besides Itsuki sit on her back. Even when Cynthia tried to sit on Articuno, the legendary bird Pokemon wasn't that pleased and would have turned Cynthia to ice but it was only because of Itsuki that the mighty 6th order Pokemon let another human sit on her back.

Itsuki looked at Sabrina with a helpless smile. Itsuki just has to cook some extra pounds of food and calm Articuno later.

After getting permission from Lorenzo and Latios, Itsuki, Latias, and Sabrina decided to head to Azalea Town. The problem was when Latias refused to let Sabrina ride on her back even when Itsuki tried his best to change the legendary Pokemon's mind. Latias only let Itsuki sit on her back. Itsuki was surprised to know that he was the only human who Latias let sit on her back.

Itsuki didn't understand why these legendary flying-type Pokemon's had problems with letting people sit on their back.

Having no other choice, Itsuki had to turn to Articuno who also refused at the beginning but after making some promises to give her extra food which Itsuki would have to cook since Articuno liked his food the most, Articuno agreed. As for Itsuki's Dragonite, her speed wouldn't able to keep up with Latias and make the trip take more time.

Currently, the team of four had already left Alto Mare city and was flying above the clouds. Itsuki was sitting on Latias back while Sabrina was sitting on Articuno's back who was complaining to Itsuki from time to time.

Itsuki has to admit he felt a little jealous of flying-type Pokemon. It felt great when the cold wind brushed against your body. Itsuki felt so comfortable that he almost fell asleep. Sitting on Latias back, Itsuki felt as if he was sitting on a couch. Latias used her psychic powers to keep Itsuki on her back and move letting her movement affect him.

"By the way, Articuno I never got the time to ask this but do you want to keep staying with me?" Itsuki has been thinking about this topic for a while now. Originally Articuno only stayed with him because she wanted revenge on Team rocket. But things didn't go as planned and Team rocket attacked them when Itsuki was having his Indigo League fight. Fortunately, Itsuki with combined efforts from others managed to stop the team rocket and was able to stop the disaster named Mewtwo that nearly killed them after going berserk.

Unfortunately, Articuno couldn't get her claws at Giovanni because the bastard died just from not being able to bear Itsuki's killing intent. But Articuno was not upset at all. She was happy that the team rocket was destroyed. Without Giovanni, the organization will like a dying planet with no one to look after it. Also after the frontal assault, Itsuki was sure the elite four wasn't going to let Team Rocket leave until the organization is destroyed. So Articuno's and Itsuki's goal was completed. Now it was time to think about her future.

While flapping her wings in the air, Articuno looked at Itsuki's eyes. It was true that Articuno only stayed with Itsuki because she wanted revenge. But over time things changed. Articuno experienced a completely different side of life. A life that wasn't boring as she had imagined. A life that was full of fun. The life she was currently having was way better than the dull life that she had before. Before Articuno would always sleep because she had nothing else to do in life. Articuno didn't wish to return to her old life where she would sleep for decades or centuries. Articuno wanted to travel with Itsuki and see what this world has to offer. She wanted to see how far Itsuki will go.

'This human, I am sure will reach a height that no human has ever reached. He will be known as God among man. if he continues to walk on this path, then even legendary Pokemon would tremble in front of him. Watching him grow is my biggest entertainment. Also, Aura extends the life span of a normal person. With the amount of Aura he has, Itsuki would be able to live for the next thousands of years. I want to accompany him on his journey. There is also no denying the fact that I have grown attached to him. I wish to show him my true form one day. But for now, it's now I will hold myself back and wait till the right day when I can show him my true form.' Various complex emotions flashed in Articuno's eyes as she stared at Itsuki. Even Itsuki has to admit, that he had grown attached to Articuno in these months. Itsuki was very happy that Articuno choose to stay with him. But one day Itsuki would understand what Articuno exactly meant by staying with him forever. He would realize the meaning of Articuno's words.

Meanwhile, Latias quietly observed the emotions on Articuno's face. Latias could sense emotions so she knew what exactly Articuno felt at that moment. It was also at that time, that Latias was inspired by Articuno to make a choice that will change her entire life.

The whole journey to Azalea town was peaceful. With two legendary 6th order Pokemon, the journey which was supposed to take 2 to 3 days was completed in just a few hours. By afternoon, Itsuki and Sabrina saw Azalea town in their view.

Itsuki and Sabrina landed a few kilometers away from Azalea town. After landing, Articuno chose to return to her Pokeball while Latas turned invisible. So it was only Itsuki and Sabrina walking together.

The Azalea town was not that prosperous. The town was located near the coastline. The whole town heavily depended on trade. Goods of cheap price were transported to other major cities in the Jhoto region. The whole town of Azalea was about half the size of Alta Mare. The town had a population of 89,000 thousand.

"It feels like I have come to some countryside." Itsuki and Sabrina entered the city with Latias following them while being invisible. Itsuki still couldn't understand why he wasn't able to sense Latias when she becomes invisible.

While walking, Itsuki and Sabrina felt they had come to some rural place. The whole town felt more like a village where everybody is working and busy with their own life. "Latias, can you please look for the town's mayor?" Itsuki didn't hear any reply instead he and Sabrina felt a gust of wind blowing past them.

"It looks like Latias can't use telepathy like her brother." Sabrina took Itsuki's left hand like it was the most natural thing to do. Itsuki looked at Sabrina who just smiled at him. Itsuki can see that she just wants to enjoy their moment while holding his hand.

"Or maybe Latias just don't want to talk. I know for a fact that Latias can use telepathy." Itsuki while saying those words looked around only to find some men staring at Sabrina without hiding their lust. Itsuki was sure if Sabrina was alone, then those men would have tried to do something to her.

Itsuki didn't like those lustful gazes on Sabrina's body. So Itsuki used just a tiny bit of his killing intent to pressure those men who were looking at Sabrina. Without Sabrina noticing anything, those men's faces turned pale and they started to sweat.

"By the way, When are you going to the Kalos region?" Sabrina asked with a sad face.

"I am going to Kanto in 2 weeks. This time I will give my all to win the Kalos Championship League." Itsuki's next words made Sabrina curious and confused. "Before training, I am going to bring something that will be marked as the starting of a new era."
