Chapter 74

After a quick debate, Carnage smiled, "I need to get to Apokolips, do you know how to get there?"

He decided against killing Felicia. The first reason is that she will be a good source of information and though he knows what kind of person she is, he doesn't care. When the time comes that she betrays him, he will make her wish she never did.

"Yes. We could just go through one of that wormhole the Parademons are coming out from." Felicia said, pointing at a wormhole where the Parademons were flying out and taking humans in masses. "But that will be stupid. We will be going straight into the middle of the enemy's den. There will be millions of them there and I doubt you will be able to handle all of them."

"So the next choice?" Carnage asked, looking over then now, empty city with cars sirens going off, and some places exploding.

"I absorb a mother box that hasn't been turned into a Boom Tube, aka, the wormhole, giving me the knowledge and ability to open one," Felicia said, bringing her hand forward and a holographic screen popping up above it. "The closest is in Metropolis, being held by someone who went through the same procedure as me. Though, he is around Superman, Batman, Flash, Green Lantern, Shazam, and Wonder Woman."

"Who is Shazam and Wonder Woman." Carnage asked, his interest peaked.

"Shazam is a human lightning bolt while Wonder Woman is a demi-Goddess." Felicia's answered, the holographic screen disappearing.

"A demi-god huh. I wonder how she tastes. Never got to eat these Parademons as they always explode after being killed." Carnage said, rubbing his hands together. What effect eating a demi-god would have on him he wondered.

"Is all you think about? Eating?" Felicia asked, her feet transforming, blue flames shooting out of it as she flew away from the top of the skyscraper they were standing on and into the sky.

"No. I think about getting immortality. Now, let's get going to get the Mother box." Carnage said, red lightning flashing around his body. The reason he wants to go to Apokolips is to gain knowledge. Knowledge of higher technology and magic. Seeing how high up Felicia has become using technology, he didn't wish to always rely on her for information.

More blue fire shot out of Felicia's feet, be it by accident or on purpose, the blue fire was directed towards Carnage. Quickly flashing out the way as a red blur, he looked up at Felicia just in time for her to point her palm at him, a plasma beam shooting towards him.

"Not even an hour after you gain this new power and you already want to challenge me!?" Carnage shouted, his face turning ugly. "Hehe. Let's dance."

His body started to morph as he transformed into his true form, a ten feet blue scale monster with yellow eyeballs. His body was bulging with thick muscles and had long thick arms. Bringing his hand down on Felicia like he was trying to be down a fly, she quickly dodged, and his arm slammed to the top of the skyscraper he was standing on. The entire skyscraper came crashing down like it was made of cards.

More barrage of beams kept flying at him as he moved through the crashing building like a red streak. Running to the middle of a highway, he looked up at Felicia, floating in the air.

"It is over Carnage, I have the higher ground." She said, pointing both her palm at Carnage, a beam charging up. "You can't reach me even with your new form."

A mouth formed on carnage's face as he started laughing hysterically, "Hahaha!!! You underestimate my power."

His back started morphing as huge black feather wings, the wingspan spanning 12 feet. With a big flap, rocks and dirt were thrown around as he shot up into the air, floating on the same level as Felicia.

"Now what?" Carnage asked, sharp long claws growing from his finger and toe.

"You lost your superspeed." Felicia's said, shooting the two beams at Carnage. 'But how did he gain these powers? What was he doing these months he was away?' She thought, looking at Carnage's new form.

With one big flap, Carnage disappeared from his spot and appeared many meters behind her.

"I am not yet used to fly with wings. I should get used to it soon." Carnage said, tumbling in the air as he struggles to regain balance.

'He is still fast even in the air. Though not fast enough for me to lose track his him.' Felicia thought to herself, her red eyes glinting. Blue flames appeared around her arm, ready for Carnage to attack, but the attack never came.

"Why aren't you attacking?" Felicia asked, Carnage not responding. "Come on Carnage, attack me. Come on, you can kill me, right?"

"That's the problem. I don't wish to kill you as you are an important asset to my plan, so I am holding myself back. If I attack right now, I will destroy your mother bord and be down with." Carnage said, vibrating his hand gesturing a stab. "Just like that and you will be done."

"You wish." Felicia said, pointing her hand at Carnage and blue flames shot out like a flame thrower.

Flapping his wings, Carnage moved out the way, avoiding it as Felicia kept chasing him with the fire. Seeing an opening, he shot toward Felicia, wanting to deal a critical blow to her motherboard in her brain, but she pointed her other hand at him, blue flames shooting out. Quickly stopping in his tracks, Carnage retracted to a range where the fire can't hit him.

'Those flames. Once I graze, I will turn to ashes.' Carnage thought looking at the blue flames coming out of Felicia's palms. 'This is irritating.'

After shooting some more flames at Carnage, in turn, dodging Felicia suddenly stooped and smiled as if just noticing something.

"Oh I see, you are scared of fire." Felicia said, looking at her blue flames.

"Why would I be scared of fire? I have fallen from the atmosphere like a comet, mean to the speed where my skin started burning. What makes you think I am scared of fire." Carnage nonchalantly said, cleaning his ear with his pinky claw.

"You disappeared from two months and came back with the ability to morph your body and body parts into other organic being... Wait what am I saying?" Felicia said, mumbling the list partly as she hit her forehead. "You aren't scared of fire, it is your weakness."

"Do you think my weakness is fire? What gives you the idea?" Carnage said, trying his best to bluff it off.

"First, your fight with the Parademon. I knew you for two years and know your behavior pattern. When you fight, you like going up to close and eating all your opponent's attacks, especially when you became a Kree. And if you want to end it quick, snap their neck or take their heart." Felicia said, looking into Carnage's eyes. "But oddly enough, when you fought the Parademons, you kept your distance at all times. At first, I thought you just change your fighting style, but now you keep retreating from my flames like they are a plague, which is unlike you."

"So?" Carnage asked, tilting his head, trying to act like he didn't understand.

"My guess is you are weak to fire. Why? I don't know yet." Felicia said, if she had a mouth, she would be grinning right now. "You gain more power but gained more weakness. What of me? I am flawless."
