Our Forgotten Love (Gusion x Guinevere)

*Guinevere's Room*

"Dad, I already have told you a hundred times that I would never marry a Paxley. I do not even know anyone from the Paxley family nor have heard the name until you spoke about it! I have explained over the years that I want to marry someone that I think is right for me, yet what you're simply asking me to do is an arranged marriage with an unknown boy! Who knows what he does for a living?" I said furiously. Who am I kidding? Anyone who marries a Baroque is such a lucky man. I better think of a plan for him to STAY AWAY and make sure that he won't marry me, or better yet even see me.

You see, I have taste, like my brother for some reason. I'm glad he married Odette and not some guy. Yes, a guy. I always thought he was gay for some reason, but I'm happy he isn't. Moreover, Odette is a very nice person. She always helps me with everything like improving my cooking skills which I am about to master some time now and as well as my magic. I could say I am more powerful than her, but she's the teacher since she knows how I can enhance my ability in using my power.

"Guinevere, he is from a nice family just like you. I'm sure you won't regret marrying him." dad says trying to convince me. One, I would surely regret, but since I don't want to let my family down- I'll try to compromise. I know I will be able to think of a plan soon. "Can you at least meet him?" dad asked me. "Fine, only meet though." I said in a cold tone. "Great, he will be here in an hour." he said and then finally left my room.

Seriously? An hour? So, he actually planned this and made sure I would say yes. How can I be so stupid to believe? ugh. I guess I'll make myself ready, I don't want my dad to look down on me. I am a Baroque after all.

"Guinevere, are you ready? He's here already!" Dad shouted from downstairs. I replied with, "Yes, I'll be there in a minute." Great, he's here. Nothing to be nervous about, I'm sure I won't like him anyways. Just like my other suitors. This one is just different, dad wants me to marry this man. *eye roll* Guin, you're overthinking this again. Let's just go down and act normal.

*Lobby*

While I was at the stairs, I saw my dad talking to someone. He looks old though, so it's definitely not the man I'm going to "marry". "Ms. Guinevere, you're finally here. I am Lee, Sir Paxley's assistant." The man who looks old said. "Good afternoon, would you like some tea?" I asked. "No need, in fact, Sir Paxley is just behind you." he said. I then looked back and saw- "Gusion?!" I screamed. This must be some kind of misunderstanding, m-mm-my ex bf came back? "Guinevere, I can explain what happened before, my dad had forced me to marry someone and I said that I liked someone else as an excuse because if I didn't he would kill the girl. I didn't want her to get killed because life is very important. Please forgive me." he explained. "What happened before is history, excuse me for a minute, please." I said.

Why does it have to be him? Of all people, him? I admit, I still like- no actually love him. I don't know what to do. What he did before was unacceptable, I'll ask Odette for help.
