Mourning

Galan was sailing on a small boat with Olvia as they approached a little Island in the New World.

As they got closer, people started popping up on the island, looking over with hostility.

The boat docked and Galan got off, a bunch of Whitebeard Pirates blocked him, glaring at Galan with intense hatred, shouting "Get the fuck out of here! You're not welcome!" Galan ignored them and carried a box with a shovel, walking towards them.

Olvia followed behind him, holding the strap to her new laser rifle, smiling slightly with a blindfold on her face.

These two never seemed to age, not even a single gray hair!

Someone attacked and Galan simply waved, pushing them back without hurting them. He passed by the group and pushed them all back by himself without even halting his steps for a moment.

The Whitebeard pirates grit their teeth and said "Call Big Bro Marco!"

Galan and Olvia continued walking up a hill before coming to two graves.

Galan looked at Whitebeard's grave and stayed silent. Olvia rubbed his back before saying "I'll just be right behind you, okay?" he didn't say anything and Olvia smiled slightly, walking back down the hill and sitting down with her rifle, blocking the way for anyone to disturb Galan.

She had also joined in on the hell-like training of Kuzan, Momousagi, and Aramaki.

Who knows how strong she was at the moment...

Galan stuck the shovel in the dirt and put the box down before getting on his knees. He put his hands together in a prayer gesture as the Sun pendant dangled from them, the chain wrapped around his fingers.

He wasn't wearing any Marine clothes, just in casual clothes as he sat on his calves, praying in silence. His body shivered and his nose turned sour as his closed eyes had tears escape, rolling down his cheeks and dripping to the ground.

His tough and war-torn face, weathered by years of tough battles and deception, crumbled at this moment as he cried in silence. His lips quivering with gritted teeth, the veins on his arms throbbing and his hands white from the pressure.

He kneeled there for a long time, not saying anything. Not even moving at all…

All he could do was mourn…

Blaming himself for everything.

Because of him, another good man had to die. This time, he even killed him himself…

The burden of Justice bared down on him like a mountain most days, this was one of his bad days…

On these bad days, when he faced himself in the mirror, he couldn't even bear to look at the person staring back at him…

He was full of self-doubt and blame, if he wasn't born maybe these things wouldn't happen.

If he had thrown himself into the sea that day, maybe the world would be better off.

Maybe it was better for everyone if he just disappeared off the face of the earth…

Let the waves take him and swallow him whole, ending the nightmare once and for all.

The World didn't need him, everything he was doing was pointless.

All he wanted was to die, he didn't care about Justice…

These were the bad days.

However, he never gave in. Always pushing forward restlessly, maybe this was his special quality. Something that wasn't found in everyone else, maybe it was because he was broken that he could do such things.

Galan didn't know, he threw away his identity a long time ago to dedicate himself to justice, but sometimes he wished that those bastards killed him along with his parents…

As he was mourning…

Marco flew over from the sea and grit his teeth, flying towards Galan. Olvia appeared in front of him and kicked Marco down from the sky, blocking the way.

Marco shouted angrily "Damn Marines! Why won't you leave Pops alone!? You have to desecrate his grave too!?" Olvia was already on a breaking point seeing Galan like this and Marco's words only pushed her off the edge!

She burst into angry tears and shouted "What do you know!? You stupid piece of shit! How can you possibly understand what he feels?! Do you know that he has nightmares every night because of this!? Do you know that he shakes and cries in his sleep over the things he was forced to do?!"

She grit her teeth and punched Marco in the face, shouting sadly "Do you know the pain he deals with everyday?! Because of your stupidity he had to kill a friend! Because you idiotic punk fucks couldn't kill a bastard that betrayed you! How many times did he call Newgate to warn him!? Let me tell you! 34 times! 34 times he called Newgate and the 35th time it was to save all of your worthless lives during the war!"

She cried and went on, "You pathetic pieces of garbage… How could you possibly understand what he's dealing with… Get out of here!" she pointed the Laser rifle at Marco and growled with a look of hatred on her face "Get the fuck away from him!"

Marco and the rest of the Whitebeard pirates felt their heads buzzing, as though they were hit with a Galleon!

Marco shook and said "Wha-" Olvia wasn't having it, shouting "I said leave!" as she fired the rifle, a beam of yellow light blasting a rock on the shore to dust, erasing it from existence!

She cried hatefully, "I won't miss next time!" Marco and the rest couldn't even process what she said, but they didn't leave, they sat down in a daze, muttering "No… It can't be." Marco took it the worst, bursting into tears on the spot and collapsing to his knees.

Olvia's hands trembled and she let go of the rifle, holding her face and crying with her teeth clenched.

Galan finally collapsed and smashed his head on the dirt, crying loudly…
