What happens when you give a dumb genius three wishes and unleash him into multiple fantasy worlds? Chaos.
I woke up to a blinding white space. Memories of my previous life flashed by. Regular guy who loved Anime and Manga. Graduated high school with decent grades and went to college for a while before having to take care of his sick mother and dropping out. No massive amount of wealth. A handful of okay relationships. Too much time on his hands and unlimited access to Internet where he vegged out on light novels and other things.
My last memory was of going to the store before seeing the strangest sight on the planet. It was a truck but it appeared to be wearing a kind of Hawaiian T-Shirt. Then it ran me over with a happy beep beep.
"Ah yes truck-kun took a vacation to the states if I remember correctly." Comes a loud echoing voice.
"What? Who's there?!" I ask looking around for the source of the voice.
"You won't be able to see me your soul isn't strong enough for that and you will be snuffed out of existence if you do." came the voice again.
"Well then can you tell me who you are and where I am?" I ask the voice.
"You can consider me God in your words and as for where you are well this can be counted as a kind of passage between life and death." The voice explains calmly.
"So I'm dead? You said something about truck-kun? Is it the one who gets people reincarnated?" I ask excitedly as I had read books about that bastard truck god of reincarnation.
"Yep that's the exact one however he wasn't supposed to be sending anyone as he was on vacation and rules stated that he was in my domain so I must be the one to initiate the reincarnation." the voice says with a sigh thinking about that chaotic god of vehicles.
Practically jumping with excitement I eagerly ask "So do I get powers or wishes or something?"
"Yes you get exactly Three wishes. You will keep your previous life's memories and be granted understanding of the languages of the world you go to." the voice tells me.
"So like a universal language skill?" I ask.
"Yes it's a simple thing." the voice replies.
"So I have to come up with three wishes eh?" I think about what to ask for.
"Can I have my wishes linked together?" I ask the voice.
"That's fine as they are your wishes." The voice replies.
"Well then for my first wish it's got to be a system with a custom ai companion that can form a body so it can help me and keep me company. I want it to have world travel, a store where I can buy and sell things, A unlimited inventory, No quests or missions as I don't like being forced to do things and make it upgradeable so I can adjust it later of if need be." I tell the voice.
"Ah the classic System wish we get that a lot I have a design set up here somewhere I just need to add and take away some things give me a moment." the voice sounds and there's some strange sounds in the background like someone running powertools.
A few minutes later the voice talks again. "Done it will be installed into you when you are reborn."
"Okay. So for my next wish I want an internal world. I want it to be able to bring people inside and be completely safe from intruders and have the ability to grow and be upgraded." I tell the voice.
"Not a very common wish I'll have to make it from scratch and I'll throw in a few things to make it a bit better." the voice says before power tool sounds start up again.
I sit and ponder over what to wish for my third wish. There are lots of ways I could chest the system but that seems like it would be fun at all.
I could wish for immortality but then I wouldn't have any fun growing to be whatever and if I become immortal I'd want to do it by my own hands.
I could wish for unlimited funds for the system but then I'd want for nothing I'd have no motivation to go out and just be lazy.
The voice hears my thoughts while it's working and nods. "What kind of adventure would that be if you already had everything handed to you at the start or had nothing to worry about?" he says out loud.
"A boring one." I reply.
"Your wish will be installed at birth and you can enter it anytime." The voice says.
I had thought for quite a bit on what to get for the third wish before it clicked into my mind.
"For my third wish I want a universal multi-tool capable of becoming whatever I need and acting as a kind of building and customizing tool." I say thinking about the item I want.
The god thinks about it for a moment. "That's a unique wish. I do actually have one of those. It will be in your inventory I will add safety restrictions to it so you can't get it stolen or something like that."
"Thank you I'd rather not be able to lose my wishes to thieves or something." I say politely.
"Well now all that's left is your rebirth. You'll be given a body capable of using any ability you learn with no limits, So you can cultivate or learn magic or do whatever you like." the voice says.
"Awesome! I'm not going to look like some stupid main character though am i? I don't think sticking out is a very wise thing to do when I'm weak." I ask the voice hopefully.
"Nope just imagine what you want to look like when you get older and we can get your sorted and reborn." the voice says.
I get an image in my mind of a handsome Sandy blonde haired man with a very lean muscular build not too big and not too small just average but packed with power. Blue-gray eyes that look kind of like a rainy sky and a cheeky smile filled with mischief. Average height a little over 6 foot.
"Alright I got it now let me do the rest." the voice says.
I feel pressure on my body as the white void I was standing in disappears to be replaced by pitch black.
