One Glance is All it Took

"Young Miss, we're here"

The driver said while looking at the young woman who was listening in the music in her earbuds in the rearview mirror.

The Young Woman noticed that the car stop so she stopped listening to the music and look at the driver.

This Young Woman was Alice Atkins, the only daughter of the Atkins family who was on par with the Graham family.

The Grahams and Atkins were not a rival family. Ronald Atkins, Alice's grandfather was a best friend of Grandpa Jin of the Graham family. They were best friend since they were young and till today they're friendship was never been broken.

Alice look outside the window of the car and noticed that they arrived at their destination.

Seeing that Alice look outside, the driver immediately step out and open the door for her.

Alice got out of the car and thanks the driver before shifting his gaze at the magnificent school in front of her.

The school was truly magnificent that you can call it a mansion of a big family, unfortunately it was just a school for the aristocratic family.

The name of the school is 'Hebbert School'. Based on the rumors, the founder of the school was a man named Hebbert and build this school and named it after him so that he could fulfill his wish before he died.

No one knows the reason why he named it after him, anyway the Hebbert School is where young aristocrats stay and study. Many influential family want their children to study in this school because not only this school for aristocrats, there's also other facilities building such as: Gym, Huge Library, Shops and any other things.

Alice was now standing in front of the huge gate that was open and students was going in without looking at her.

Well, it's normal, only influential family's can come here, not any other people who knows nothing.

Plus, looking at how Alice dress, the people could guess that she was rich.

Standing alone in the middle of the way while looking at the magnificent school building, she didn't notice that a gorgeous car was parked at the side and the people, especially girls are cheering while waiting for the people inside the car to come out.

After a few minutes, a bodyguard came and open the door of the backseat and a long legs followed by a body come out.

He was standing there while scanning the whole area, not minding the girls at the side as he strode forward the main gate.

But before he could step another step, he found a young woman standing in the middle, looking at the school, it was Alice.

For a moment he didn't know what to do so he ignored her, thinking that she was just like any other girls who was trying to get his attention.

However, the girls was not pleased by this, instead they started to shout at Alice.

"Hey, you there, can't you see that our handsome young master Chen was walking toward you, why don't you step at the side?"

"Maybe it's just another attention seeker for our young master."

"Yeah, she should know that young master Chen is not someone who would be swayed by such a beauty. So what if she's beautiful? In the end she won't get young master Chen's attention."

Hearing the shout at the people who was already gathered at the side, Alice finally averted her gaze and look at these students calmly.

She didn't know what has she done but listening to the words they were shouting at her, it seems that someone influential was coming her way and she block it then these fangirls became displeased.

Looking at the situation, she didn't bother talking to them and just glance at the man not far away from her before making her way to the school.

The students was startled at first by her sudden movement but they immediately go to the side, making way for Alice, especially the boys who was intently looking at Alice.

That can't be helped, Alice was really beautiful, like a goddess.

Her style and aura was intimidating, not like those other spoiled girls from the average aristocratic family.

The man who was called young master Chen just watch her walk away with amusement and curiousity.

It was his first time being ignored by a girl, and just one glance at that.

"Interesting" is the only sentence he could say before he followed her way, of course the other students followed them too.

This small incident come quickly and left quickly.

Alice was now at the headmasters office, drinking tea while the headmaster was having trouble around her, after all, the aura Alice was giving them was too terrifying.

After sipping from the tea, Alice places it at the table before looking at the headmaster.

"Headmaster Qian, I only have two conditions for you so that I can study here in peace" after saying that. Headmaster Qian immediately nod and listen attentively at Alice demand.

"First, I don't want my identity to be exposed. I don't like it when someone knew my identity. Second, please don't fawn over me or please me or give me more attention because that would only bring trouble if anyone knew that you and your school was giving me so much attention. So, are we clear?"

Headmaster Qian nod his head, meaning that he agreed without a second thought.

"Well then, I will be going to my class"

Headmaster Qian nod then lead her way to the best class 'A-1', then quickly left.

The A-1 classroom was a special class since genius and super rich people are only in here. Even though it's noisy, the people here was still elegant and not acting like a student that was in a fight, they're only chatting and laughing.

But it quickly stopped because a new student will be joining them and that's Alice.

Alice entered the room and for a moment, the entire room was eerily quiet while looking at Alice in scanning gaze but they quick avert they're gaze when they met Alice gaze.

Not because they were scared but because the pressure from her was too suffocating and it made them sweat but it quickly left since Alice found an empty seat.

Alice made her way to the seat in an elegant manner and sit in an elegant manner while countless gaze was focusing on her but she didn't mind it since she was used to this.

From the beginning to the end when Alice sit, the entire place quiet that a pin drop could be heard. And the moment Alice sit, the aura from her was completely gone and all the people around the room heaved a sigh before going back to their own chair.

While Alice was finding her earbuds and play a song to listen to the music.

She closed her eyes while sitting comfortably and her arms was in cross between her chest. No one dared to approach her, afraid of disturbing her.

After a while, a handsome young man step in from the door. It was the young master Chen.

He look across the room before stopping at Alice who was busy listening to the song. Then he found that Alice was sitting at his sit.

His darkened and an oppressive aura was being release, startling the others who just escaped from Alice's aura.

Then he strode towards Alice and when he was in front of her, looking down on her, did she open her eyes and look at him.

He was startled because the moment her opened, his aura retreat slightly and he step back a little, but it was only for a few second before he composed himself, cleared his throat and say saying but before he could utter a world, Alice beat him to it.

"Do you need something?", Asked Alice. It was not that cold but you won't find any emotions on it, she just asked casually.

The others in the room was terrified by what Alice and they retreat slightly, cowering in fear.

Alice continue looking at young master Chen's eyes while young master Chen was thinking about something but he quickly dispersed it and continue to what he needs to do.

"This is my seat." He point at the desk before looking at her again.

Clearly the desk Alice was sitting was young master Chen's seat.

Alice was about to say something but the teacher entered the room and cough a little to get their attention, but Alice was still sitting whereas young master Chen was still standing, looking at her.

"What's happening there?." Teacher Feng ask but no one answered. She scanned the room before falling at Alice and young master Chen then she seems to understood what's happening.

"Chen, go get another seat. The headmaster inform me that we have a students today so it should be this young woman." She first place her bag at the table before walking to the two people staring at each other.

"Chen you're a gentleman, you should just give your seat to this young lady since she's new to this school." Then she look at Alice before turning around and walk to her desk and scanned the people inside the room.

"Alright, I'll wait for 6 minutes, by then, you should get a new seat." With that, she sit to her chair and mind her own business.

Meanwhile Alice and Chen stopped staring at each other.

Alice look straight while picking up her earbuds and hide it at her bag, while Chen look at Alice for a while before going out to get a new seat.

About 5 minutes, his new seat was placed near Alice and he sits on it.

When Teacher Feng look up, she found that a new seat was placed near Alice and since only the two of them were in the back, they were easily spotted.

Teacher Feng smiled and nod in satisfaction before she stood up, place both of her hand aloud at her desk that startle all the students before scanning her students.

"Alright, let's begin"
