Once Upon a Kiss

The atmosphere was lively and merry songs of Christmas carols were being played in the background.

Each store had its own playlist!

It was clearly a yuletide season!

A girl wearing an elf costume stood at the other side of a transparent, squeaky clean, glass pane as she was quietly observing a snow-ball toy glass ball that was being displayed in one of the stores

She was wearing a red Santa cap to match her cute elf costume.

A clear indication that she was one of the part-timers working at the nearby theme park.

"Lu Ruoxin, take this bag for me.."

A middle-aged woman said as she handed the girl in elf costume a paper bag.

But before Luo Ruoxin could even take a proper hold of the paper bag, another two paper bags came to her sight.

"Take these too."

"Okay, Luo Qiqi..."

Luo Ruoxin replied as she reached out to the paper bag being handed to her using her other free hand.

"Take mine as well...'

Luo Mimi said, who looked exactly the same as Luo Qiqi. Except that she was wearing a different set of clothes.

Luo Qiqi and Luo Mimi were identical twins, and they don't just look alike. They also practically behave the same as well!

They were both devils incarnate whose sole purpose was to make Sophia's life, a living hell.

Of course, nothing more could be said to their mother.

As one of their progenitor, her Aunt Luo Jianye was no different.

In fact, they were like a complete package that came straight from hell

Oh, by the way, Luo Qiqi and Luo Mimi were Luo Ruoxin's step-siblings while Aunt Luo Jianye was obviously her stepmom

Luo Ruoxin had never gotten a chance to meet her mom, it was said that her mom died from a car accident when she was little.

While her dad remarried again when Luo Ruoxin was five and died three years after that.

Yeah...Luo Ruoxin was supposed to be their family member, not a nanny.

But just like a typical stepfamily gone bad story, Luo Ruoxin suffered the same fate and ended just like any other.

"You guys were aware that I still have a part-time job to attend to right???"

Luo Ruoxin asked as she tried her best to accommodate all the paper bags on her arms.

"Yes., sweetie, But not before I have my coffee..."

Her Aunt Luo Jianye replied in nonchalance as she crossed the street where a cafe was currently brewing and releasing an enticing whiff of a freshly brewed coffee.

"Ohh.. a cup of espresso would be really nice in this cold weather..."

Luo Ruoxin said to herself.

But sadly she could not afford to buy one at the moment because she was trying to save as many bucks as she could.

Luo Ruoxin's two sassy step-siblings obviously followed after their mother and went inside the cafe as well.

Leaving Luo Ruoxin to attend at all of their shopping bags, all by herself.

After a while, the three emerged out from the cafe, each of them having a cup on their hand.

Clearly, not a single one of them had thought about buying poor Luo Ruoxin a cup of coffee of her own.

"OWW EM GHEEE!!!! OMG!!!!! Sissy! Can you, what I am seeing?!!!!"

Luo Mimi squealed out of nowhere

"Oh! GOSH!!!! Was that Mu Jinnian?! Our campus heartthrob??!"

Luo Qiqi squealed back with the same amount of energy as her twin.

"No... Wait... Hold on... How do I look, Luo Mimi ??? Do you think Mu Jinnian will like me???"

"You wish! You look awful, Luo Qiqi. Prince Jinnian will only have his eyes on me... So stop dreaming. He is mine.."

Luo Mimi rebuked with a voice full of cattiness. Then she flicked her heavily styled brunette hair.

"You guys are twin, remember? So you two technically looks the same. Besides, can't you see that Mu Jinnian was with his girlfriend, Xiao Ya right now? I doubt he would notice any of you two at all"

Luo Ruoxin butted in a matter of fact tone.

"Shut up and hold this for me, instead!"

Luo Mimi said in annoyance, then she shoved her strawberry flavored Frappe towards Luo Ruoxin.

But since both of Luo Ruoxin's hands were already occupied by their shopping bags, Luo Ruoxin was no longer able to hold the Frappe properly

"Move out of the way, you are blocking me!"

Luo Qiqi followed Luo Mimi's shove with another of hers and in the process, Luo Ruoxin, unfortunately, lost her balance and fell on her back.

Luo Mimi's drink spilled all over her face.

"You are so clumsy!"

Luo Mimi and Luo Qiqi both said at the same time.

Instead of helping Luo Ruoxin to get on her feet, the two sisters just sneered on her.
