Chapter 1 - Kagami Senju

Land of Fire, Konohagakure, Year 60

Inside a house on the edge of the Senju Clan land, a small boy who appeared around four sat surrounded by various metal parts. Many in the shape of pipes or cogs, while he tinkered with what appears to be a grandfather clock in front of him. Struggling to pull a rusted out shaft that broke, an old hand reached in and pulled it out for him.

The boy with dark eyes looked up at an old man with a smile. His black pushed back with a hairband as he thanked the old man. Before he went back to work and fiddled around as he checked the rest of the clock before reassembling it.

This boy is named Kagami Senju, and he has a secret. A secret he probably won't ever tell anyone for he doesn't believe it himself. For he has memories of his previous life in a world, his current world was in the form of a popular manga series.

That right, he was a tranmigrator or reincarnator who found himself in this new world four years ago. For which one, he doesn't know nor really care all that much since both have the same end result of giving him another life in a different world.

Like many others who find themselves in a similar situation, he was a fan of anime. If he chose one, then Dragon Ball would be his pick for his favorite while Naruto was up there due to the diversity and unique attacks.

For which world he is in, during the last four years, he has investigated this world and determined that he is in Naruto or would the Hokage World sound better. Since last he knew there was a sequel about Naruto's son.

Well, it didn't matter what the name was, since it had little impact on his life.

Now, many may wonder what kind of golden finger he gained for being reincarnated or transmigrated. While others may wonder how he had gained the last name of Senju, since in Naruto there was no specific person with this surname officially mentioned. Well, ones that lived during the time of the Third Great Shinobi War.

For even Tsunade in the official series is only referred to as Tsunade with no last name officially given much like Jiraiya and Orochimaru. Well, to discover how he had come upon this name, it requires him to go back to around the time he was born.

While the memories are vague since he was less than a year old, he remembers a blurry man ranting about something. Then he was left in a cold area as the blurry man left, before being picked up and adopted by the old man. After that, the old man took him in and raised him while giving him the surname Senju.

The old man in question was a Senju clansman from back when Hashirama and Tobirama were still kicking. Unlike the others, he was one of the few that kept the Senju name and as he didn't want the name to die out with him. He adopted Kagami as both his wife and child passed away already.

For who his actual parents are or possible clans he is a descendant of. Neither Kagami nor Old man Taiyō who adopted him knew. They just knew he was born from a clan as Taiyō had sensed a fairly large chakra reserves in him, that surpassed most but weren't Senju or Uzumaki levels.

Now for what his golden fingers were, well Kagami actually had two that really didn't fit this world. The first was Mechanical Affinity, which was pretty impressive as he could instinctively know how to dismantle, fix, improve or build different machines. While his second was Science Notes, a space in mind that auto records his knowledge on various science branches. Then, using the database he compiles over time, it can help him speed up experiments that might take months to years.

Neither really fit into the world of ninjas, but Kagami felt both would help him on his quest. The quest to build a world of wonder as well find the limits of chakra and various kekkei genkais. Ever since he watched Naruto, he always wondered what were the limits of the basic elements as well as various elemental kekkei genkais were. Could an Ice Release user make an ice golem like Hashirama Wood Human Technique. Also, could one who is proficient in two basic elemental releases blend two elements and mimic or even create an elemental kekkei genkai?

There is also his desire to learn and use chakra outside of battle. Chakra seems like a wonderful thing that can do more than kill each other. However, as much as he wanted to explore the wonders of chakra, Kagami can't use it yet. Simply put, he just doesn't know how to mobilize it yet.

So, to bide his time until he can learn how to use his chakra. Kagami has been working with his Mechanical Affinity to tinker and rebuild various things he can get his hands on. Many of which were just pulling old clocks or junk from the junkyard and fixing them.

"Kagami, did you do your training today?" Taiyō Senju, asked from the side after Kagami finished putting the clock back together.

"Yes, Grandfather. I think I will increase it slightly tomorrow as it was a little too easy now." Kagami replied.

For why Kagami referred to the old man as Grandfather was because the old man was teaching him manners lately. It was also because the man considered him a grandson instead of an adopted son.

Nodding his head satisfied, Taiyō then thought of something. "Tomorrow, I'm going to go visit my old rival and friend. Do you want to tag along? He has a granddaughter around your age."

Kagami shook his head as his eyes glanced back at a pile of metal parts in the corner. He wanted to tinker with them and make a unique mechanical clock. Which he assumed to be related to having the mechanical affinity cheat as he loves to tinker or build new things. Otherwise, he feels a bit uncomfortable after a bit.

His eye shift naturally didn't escape Taiyō's eyes as he lightly sighed to himself. He felt this boy was going to be a great and powerful shinobi like the Second Hokage. Only, he felt confused as he didn't understand why the boy seemed more interested in fixing or building small trinkets.

'Whatever, as long as he is happy and keeps training.' Taiyō thought to himself. 'Minato should be back tomorrow. I just ask him to watch over Kagami for a few hours.'
