2 - New class and familiar characters

Time flies and it was already the day of the assessment.

These past few days Nori did nothing special and just continued with his usual schedule. He could feel gaining some strength daily and relished the feeling.

The actual test pattern was unknown to him but fortunately it was within his expectations.

Four classes of his year were having tests at the same time.

First it was written test.

Of course Nori aced it after all it would embarrassing if he could not even past such elementary school level test being an adult inside.

The next test was as shurikenjutsu.

This aspect was not much trained by Nori but he still was able to get a perfect score fairly easily.

He just had to hit target 10 feet in front of him with kunai and shuriken at least 5 out of 10 times each to clear the test. This was too easy for him.

Nori had some knowledge about the basic wrist movements from the study material he had. So he just practiced it some times to get the right feeling and easily scored full marks on the test.

The distance at which the target was located was too low for him to miss with some knowledge of the right technique. Even his teachers did not look much surprised with the result because seven more students from his class were able to leave perfect score too.

The last test was taijutsu assessment. Teachers may call it taijutsu but Nori only saw some kids brawling with each other and trying to show off. This was at least true for most of the civilians as their strikes lacked any sort of technique behind them.

This was normal because teachers had not started teaching them taijutsu techniques yet. The performance of clan kids was different though because their movements were somewhat refined which showed the fact they had been training them for a while now.

Most of the civilian kids looked envious of the clan kids while Nori did not think much about it. After all Nori himself did much better than some of the clan kids and practically destroyed his opponents.

Teachers were testing stamina , instinct etc and Nori showed them that he aced in all those aspects. Nori fought with five opponents in total of which three were from his class while other two were clan kids of the genius class.

The kid from Akimichi clan was Akimichi Choza. Nori knew that he was future father of Akimichi Choji who was same generation as Naruto. The chubby kid was not that gentle like his future son and his attack pattern was very aggresive.

Nori easily caught his movements with his eyes though and ended the battle with just one punch in his gut. After all Nori had been training his body strength for three months now and had also practiced basic punches thousands of times. So his attack was too fast for Choza to even follow with his eyes.

Naturally the teachers and other clan kids were surprised by the Nori's unexpected performance but his next match left more strong impression.

Nori's final opponent was Hyuga Hiashi. The same future father of Hinata but now he was just an arrogant kid in his eyes. When Nori greeted his opponent nicely , Hiashi started blabbering about awesome his clan was and even suggested Nori to immediately surrender.

Nori realised that the superiority complex of the Elders from clan was also passed down to the younger generation. Nori of course was a little pissed by the rude attitude but shrugged it off casually.

After all it would be embarrassing if he lost his temper by listening to rambling of some five year old kid.

Though Hiashi was strong. At least he was among the best in this year classes when it came to taijutsu. Nori had to admit it.

Being from the main Hyuga clan, Hiashi already had some basic knowledge of Gentle Fist which was a force to be reckoned with alongside with his byakugan.

Still Nori won without much difficulty because no matter what , the opponent was just a 5 year old kid. Nori's skill in taijutsu was inferior to his opponent so he decided to completely focus on just dodging Hiashi's attacks while interrupting his rythm with some fast punches and kicks from time to time.

Hiashi's 5 year old mind started to get irritated easily which showed in the fight as Hiashi started to become more and more aggressive in his attacks which in turn made his attacks more sloppy.

Seeing that his plan was successful , Nori changed tactics without hesitation and ended the match with just one fast blow.

Hiashi was being sloppy so Nori could see many openings in his stance. Thus Nori waited for the right chance and once it came, he kicked the ground with all his strength and coveted 4 meters distance between him and Hiashi in an instant.

Next was simple as he had successfully caught his opponent off guard. Nori just used the fast momentum of his previous full power dash and landed a solid punch of Hiashi's chest who flew back like a broken kite and was thrown out of the makeshift ring.

Nori had won and showed a small smile while the Spectators were still shocked. Without waiting for the result to be announced, Nori left the ring and walked back towards his class while feeling great inside because his hard training had shown excellent results.

Without the training, he would not have been able to display such great explosive power with the dash nor he would have been able to dodge Hiashi's fast and precise attacks for more than two minutes because of lack of stamina.

All in all his hard hard paid off which made him feel satisfied while at the same time , Nori made up his mind to train more harder from now on because he could tell that Hiashi and other genius students will leave him in the dust if he did not do that.

Fortunately at the end of the assessment, Nori was successfully transferred in the genius class. Now he could recieve correct guidance from the teachers easily so all he had to do was work hard to advance leaps and bounds until he had nothing left to learn from the academy.

Nori felt excited because he could learn together with legendary characters Namikaze Minato, Uchiha Fugaku etc who were in the same class as him. They were extremely talented but Nori was fine with it because healthy completion with them will also bring out more and more of his own potential...
