Tóm tắt

The most powerful God-King had fallen, and his soul was transmigrated into the body of a useless apprentice. The apprentice had the worst body to cultivate as all nine of his spiritual veins were sabotaged. However, as the previous God-King, Jiang Cheng had a solution. If he couldn’t cultivate, then he would train others. He had nine female apprentices. Every one of them had unique strengths. The most important part was that they were all taught by the God-King. His oldest apprentice, Master of the Satanic Cult, had 10,000 subordinates under her. His second apprentice, Divine Sword Master, was the leader of 13 assault groups. His third apprentice, Master Martial, could topple Heaven with a swing of her hand. … “You girls are stealing all the spotlight!” Jiang Cheng scolded. “We apologize!” all 13 apprentices knelt at once and apologized. “There’s no one as powerful as our master in the universe!”

Chapter 1The Return of the Holy King!

The Nine Heavens. This was a place where all the cultivators dreamed of ascending.

In this place, everyone could catch the stars, the sun, and the moon in their hands!

Crossing the void and summoning wind and rain was child's play.

There were two forces in the Nine Heavens. One was the Star Establishment Sect founded by the ascenders, while the other was the Ninth Heaven Sect.

Among the two groups, the Star Establishment Sect was able to subdue the Ninth Heaven Sect by relying on its founder, the overgod of heavens, Jiang Chen.

However, there was a limit to one's power.

Facing the twenty-four Immortal Kings, Jiang Chen knew he wouldn't be able to escape this battle today. Although he wasn't afraid of the strength of the twenty-four Immortal Kings, his divine power wouldn't last forever and his dao would eventually vanish.

However, Jiang Chen was already prepared to die.

The battle was so intense that it turned the sky and earth pitch-black, and the ancient ruins almost collapsed!

Jiang Chen didn't know how long the battle lasted, but in the end, he ran out of his divine power and died of exhaustion.

"After 5,000 years, I, Jiang Chen, have already reached the end of my path?"

At the last moment, when he closed his eyes, Jiang Chen thought that his divine soul had also disappeared along with the twenty-four Immortal Kings' final attack.

However, what Jiang Chen didn't know was that his soul didn't disappear after his death.

Instead, he left the ancient ruins directly and went to the place where he had been before he ascended -- Red Sun Continent.

...

Red Sun Continent, the True Martial Sect.

Jiang Chen's soul directly possessed an ordinary disciple who had just died.

This disciple's name was also Jiang Chen!

When Jiang Chen possessed this disciple, his consciousness gradually recovered, but he wasn't able to regain consciousness for the time being.

Naturally, the memories of this disciple possessed by Jiang Chen were also controlled by him.

"Red Sun Continent? True Martial Sect? Isn't this the sect I established before I ascended?"

"Hahaha. I, Jiang Chen, didn't die!"

"Heavens will not let me die!"

"All twenty-four Immortal Kings, wash your necks and wait. The moment I, Jiang Chen, return to the Nine Heavens, I will definitely dye the sky red with your blood!"

However, what Jiang Chen needed to do now was to fuse his holy soul with this body as soon as possible.

Therefore, Jiang Chen didn't waste any more time. He focused his mind and started to fuse his soul with this body.

As he began to fuse, a strong wind suddenly blew over, and dark clouds filled the sky.

In the blink of an eye, the dark clouds turned into blood-red clouds.

Boom!

Boom!

Thunder and lightning roared as if they were congratulating Jiang Chen for his rebirth.

The moment the phenomenon appeared, the triennial assessment of outer disciples, which had been going on, was forced to stop.

The crowd looked towards the outermost area. They all focused on the disciple who had been possessed by Jiang Chen and caused the heaven and earth phenomenon. It was unknown whether he was alive or dead.

"What's going on? Such a heaven-defying phenomenon hasn't appeared in the Red Sun Continent for thousands of years. What's going on?"

"Go and inform the sect leader and the third elder to come and investigate!"

The outer sect's Elder Li looked at a guard behind him and ordered in a low voice.

"There's no need. Such a huge commotion has occurred within the sect. As soon as we heard it, the three elders and I rushed over immediately."

Hearing this, Elder Li immediately looked in the direction of the voice.

He saw an old man with white hair, wearing a Daoist robe, and a sage-like demeanor slowly walking over.

He was the current sect leader of the True Martial Sect, Ye Qizheng.

The three old men behind Ye Qizheng were the three elders of the True Martial Sect.

"Greetings, Sect Leader and Elders."

Elder Li of the outer sect hurried to bow and paid his respects.

"Greetings, Sect Leader and Elders!" The disciples followed him and also bowed in unison.

Ye Qizheng nodded. He then walked through the crowd and went straight to Jiang Chen, who was still unconscious.

Looking at the mark of the natural phenomenon on Jiang Chen's forehead, Ye Qizheng was sure that it was caused by the disciple before him. Then, he looked up at the sky.

"The appearance of such a natural phenomenon is usually accompanied by the appearance of a peerless genius. Is the True Martial Sect going to rise?"

The more he thought about it, the more excited Ye Qizheng became. The wrinkles on his face seemed to have almost disappeared at this moment.

"Haha! Sect Leader, the heaven and earth phenomenon belongs to the disciples of our True Martial Sect."

"A new hope has finally appeared for us old fellows!"

The three great elders followed closely behind and spoke one after another with trembling voices.

Just as the sect leader and the group of elders were shocked by the heaven and earth phenomenon.

In the martial arts practice arena of the True Martial Sect, there was a huge statue standing in the center. A wisp of broken spirit was trembling nonstop.

It didn't seem like it was afraid, but more like it was excited and agitated!

This statue was none other than the founder of the True Martial Sect, Jiang Chen. He was also known as the overgod of heavens!

This remnant soul was naturally left in the statue when Jiang Chen had ascended.

Jiang Chen's remnant soul slowly woke up after sensing his aura!

In an instant, a golden light suddenly burst out from this huge ancient statue and enveloped its huge body!

At this moment, the space seemed to have been distorted!

Thunder and lightning surged, becoming increasingly violent. It looked just like a lively child.

The moment the statue changed, the entire True Martial Sect was once again attracted to it.

"This... the statue of our ancestor has also appeared. It's been 5,000 years, and the statue of our ancestor has finally appeared."

"Haha, this is auspicious!"

"Within a day, not only did our True Martial Sect gain a peerless genius who could make the phenomenon of heaven and earth appear, even the statue of our ancestor has appeared... This is the ancestor who will protect our True Martial Sect!"

Sect Master Ye Qizheng seemed to have gone mad as he raised his head to look at the huge statue standing in the middle of the training arena and laughed crazily.

"Sect Leader, what's wrong? Why does it look a little strange?" A disciple asked in puzzlement.

"If it were you, I think you would be even crazier than the sect leader."

"Do you know whose statue is this?"

When the surrounding disciples heard this, they shook their heads with a blank expression, as if they did not know anything.

The inquisitive disciple rolled his eyes and continued, "This statue is of the founder of our True Martial Sect, who is also our first sect leader!"

He continued with a face full of admiration, "The most important thing is that our first sect leader was the overlord who ruled the entire Red Sun Continent 5,000 years ago. Our True Martial Sect was also the number one sect in the entire continent a few thousand years ago."

"Sigh! It's just that now..."

This disciple no longer continued. His expression, which was previously full of admiration, had also turned sorrowful.

Translation Quality: Is okay for the most part, but there are a few lines that do feel out of place. However, with the context of it being a trial read then it’s pretty good. Stability of Updates: I’m sure you guys know the drill by now. Story Development: I’d say don’t judge this story based on the description, because it’s not very accurate. What is true: yes, he was a Godking* and he did die and reincarnate. What’s not true: that he can’t cultivate and chose to nurture disciples instead. As far as his nine disciples are concerned; they seem to have been his disciples while he was a Godking. That said I do find the premise of this story and cultivation system to be plenty interesting. I do like the fact that the sect he reincarnated into isn’t some random weakest sect, in the weakest location, but one he had established thousands of years ago before ascending. As a result sect development is one of core plots of this novel, which is a sub genre I’m personally a big fan off. Of course it’s not devoid of the typical cliches of this genre, but again I’d say the premise of this novel and it’s cultivation system is enough to give a try regardless. Edit: *the term in the actual translation seems to differ; I’m not sure if his actual rank was an Immortal King or not, but I left it as Godking for similicity’s sake. Also I’ve rated it 5 stars because: A. It’s not been westernized. B. To counterbalance reviews made by some very biased people who haven’t even actually read the novel.
