When the Dark king found out about the Light princess who is believed to be dead, murdered by her own uncle due to a prophecy that angered him and murdered the Light king and queen right after she was born, is actually alive and is roaming the human world, the Dark king ordered some of his trusted men to go and kill the princess and send her head to the rebels as a warning that they will never have their kingdom back. The mission was simple - kill the princess who is oblivious of her abilities and send her head at the forest ground to be found by the Light creatures. It was supposed to be an easy kill, as what the king's seer said, "she'd be alone in the shore, lure her in the forest and kill her, sacrifice her to open the portal back to our world." But no one has ever expected someone to be with the princess during the murder night, not the assassins, not the king, not even the seer. No one has ever expected the person with claws and black wings to return to Aelifdene with the princess.
