The New Era

A month has gone by since the great divide had occurred, we were now living in the age of the new era.

[Somewhere on the outskirts of The City]

We have been working hard on our base this past month and honestly it took a lot of hard work and dedication. The event is also still going on but I don't really know when it'll end just yet.

The party has been getting closer with one another since we haven't had any fights or mobs to deal with lately. It's nice but I do wonder what will come of everything when the gates are all closed.

"Sevy what are you doing up here by yourself?" Rika asks as she climbs up.

"Just thinking about the world a bit." I respond while looking up at the sky.

The world will always be messed up after all this. That's the conclusion I came to at least since I don't know how anyone will be able to go back.

"Worried about it?" She questions while taking a seat next to me.

"Yeah. It feels like it will only get worse after everything is said and done." I answer while looking at the city.

The lights on all the buildings are off, some buildings have giant holes in them, and it just makes the city look so abandoned from here. It's almost like everyone left it behind but maybe that wouldn't be the worse scenario.

Rebuilding is a possibility I guess.

"I think humans will have a new outlook on the potential dangers of the world. Making you all stronger than you were before." Rika says with a sincere tone in her voice.

"You have a good way of looking at things." I respond to her with a kind tone.

I could feel her soft hand grab onto mine and it threw me off since she has been fighting with me for so long that I didn't expect it. Expected her hands to be hardened from everything by now but yet it doesn't seem that way.

I'm glad.

"I'm more worried about being forced to leave the world. I've grown so attached to you all over these past few months." Rika shares with me.

"I won't let that happen to you or anyone else in the party." I say confidently.

Only if mom could see how far I've come since the beginning of this whole thing. I still have a hard time accepting that she's gone but everyone here helps me push through.

"Thank you Sevy." Rika replies with a smile on her face.

"You're welcome Rika." I say back while staring ahead.

{Stat Check}

{Balance}

Zethel = 1,385,000

Level 102

Points Available: 3

•Vitality Level 35(8,500)

•Intelligence Level 44

•Agility Level 30

•Reflexes Level 30

•Strength Level 15 (+13)

•Endurance Level 20

•Mana Level 20(+13) (8,300)

---------------

I have good stats but I definitely could use a bit more points for some of them. The enemies will only be stronger the more time passes by.

I'll also need to look into stopping at a shop at some point since I could probably get some good items.

{Current Skill Trees}

•Level 15 Demon Blood (Gives the user power of the Demon Knight. A Boost is also given to Mana, Fire Abilities, and Strength by 13 Each)

•Level 8 (Max Level) Regeneration ---> (The user can now heal Immensely as long as damage is not still being taken for a brief period of time)

•Level 8 King's Strength (Allows the user to harness a large portion of the Undead King's Strength permanently)

• Special Skill, Borrowed Power. (Allows the user to harness power from powerful souls that were obtained in the Keepers time before it's death.)

---------------

My skills trees are still doing good for the time being but I might need to check them out again soon. Mostly for some point investing so that I could utilize more power from them.

~The Third gate is open. I might have an idea of where it is but I don't think you're ready for it yet.

I'll have to do some level grinding then, but it's a terrible time to do it. Ugh. Save the base location as a waypoint.

~Understood.

[A few hours since Rika and I talked.] An hour or so away from the base.

I left a note for them since I need to do this without the risk of someone getting hurt or dying again. I'm usually not the type to do that but I think they also deserve a brief break for once.

~A dungeon is 50 meters away and doesn't seem to have anyone inside yet.

Perfect.

~Still use caution Sevarian.

I planned on it anyway.

The dungeon was built into the side of a hill and seemed to have a pretty big opening. I'm glad it's in a good spot too so I don't have to worry about looking for the entrance.

| Zereth's Dungeon I

So this one appears to have a name, how interesting.

{Sense}

~Nothing has been detected just yet.

I'm going forward then.

{Activate Kings Strength}

{Activate Demon Blood}

{Activate Borrowed Power}

~All skills are active.

Time to do some power leveling, it's the only way to get strong enough for this third gate. I'll do whatever I have to do to ensure the peace of the world.

"So we meet once more." An odd but familiar voice says from behind me.

Quickly I turn around to see someone wearing clothes of a watcher.

"Not another watcher. Damnit." I respond while drawing my sword.

"No need to worry. You saved me from the curse placed upon me. It's me Eiji." He says while moving his hood and mask.

The long green hair came flowing out from his hood and I immediately recognized him again. I didn't expect to run into him so soon but he did prove to be a bit helpful last time.

"What brings you here?" I ask with a curious tone.

"I have information for you. It's rather important." Eiji responds with a serious expression on his face.
