Chapter Two Hundred and Seventy Seven

Am glad that Ella accepted to meet with Max and have the much-needed talk with him cause I can see how much she loves him, though she is not aware of her feelings for him yet I bet that she will figure it out. I called George to update him about the result of my mission and also called his mother and informed her as well and both of them were happy with the result. I got back home had my shower and walked downstairs to have my dinner, getting there Mum and Josh are already eating. Wow, you guys could not even wait for me or inform me that dinner is served, I accused them.

Come on honey, I thought you were coming back from a rich man's house and in a rich man's house there is always a feast, My mother said trying to establish her reason for not calling me for dinner which I find extremely amusing. Well not when my best friend and her father are involved cause they hardly care for food, I think their big mansion needs another touch of a woman, I replied and start to dish out my food cause am starving. But Ella is a woman, which other touch does it need? Josh asked. I facepalmed myself when I heard his question for someone who parades himself to be smart he always tends to ask a stupid question.

What I mean Josh by the touch of a woman is that Mr Williams needs to get a wife that will be running their home to make it more lively, I explained to him. I agree with you on that cause it has been a long time since his wife died, My mother interjected. Well, that is not a bad idea at all, Josh said. I started eating cause I need to fill my stomach first before I will tell them about Ella's father's invitation. I finished with my meal, Mum and Josh are already in the sitting room leaving the dishes for me, I cleared the table and do the dishes before joining them in the sitting room. Mum I have something to tell you, I said to get her attention cause she seemed so engrossed in what she is watching.

What is it? She asked still not looking at me. Ella's father invited us for the dinner this coming weekend, I told her and that got their attention. What did you just say? My mother asked. Sis are you for real, he invites us to his mansion? My brother asked him to be sure cause he knew how much the man hate us for just being poor. Yeah he invited us, he said that he want to meet my family, I told them. That's good that goes to show that he is changing and he is doing everything to prove it, well tell him that we will honour his invitation, my mother said and focus on the television once again. For someone who is not in their financial capacity, my mother does know how to carry herself, that is one thing I like about her.
