Multiversal Slayer:THE HASHIRA

"10,000!"

Standing in my courtyard I completed my training for the day, i cleaned myself with a towel proceeding to move on to meditation excercise. Sitted in a lotus position, I practiced the breathing technique I learned from my master. Gradually my mind entered a state of calm.

'Its almost time'

Sixteen years ago i was reborn in this world, abandoned in a forest. Opening my eyes for the first time i could only see darkness and nothing else, yes i was born blind!

Me a reborn human blind at birth!!

I almost lost it but fortunately enough i was found by my master who took me in and cared for me.

Probably because of my situation I discovered that my other senses were enhanced, and it wasn't a small enhancement.

As the years went on, when i was five, I discovered that the way my master breathed was the same way others did. Even though i have come to realize that every body has a different way of breathing I discovered that his way seemed even more so and so i adked him about it

"Grandpa, why do you breathe so differently from the way other people do?"

As a transmigrator i had a premonition already but i was scared to accept such a concept to be real. I who was blind didn't really want to find myself i such a situation. With no cheats and a debuff to boot even though i could somewhat see with my other senses I didn't really want to believe i was in such a situation.

I could feel his gaze turned solemn and his breath became heavy. He looked at the horizon from our porch on the mountain too and said

" Young Kaigaku, what I practice is not merely a simple form of breath it is a method that allows me to obtain strength beyond what that of normal people. It is called breathing style."

The moment those words were spoken I realized that my situation had already been a forgone conclusion and that there was nothing i could do… NO! There was something i could do, and so I lifted my nonexistent eyes to him and ask with what i felt was a pensive expression on my face

"Why do you need such strength"

And thats how i found myself here in this courtyard. Yep thats right i Kaigaku Hayate was reborn in the demon slayer world and became the disciple of the lightning hashira.

With my sword tip pointed against the neck of another disciple i claimed my unmatched victory, having a record of no single defeat in duels among disciples, of course it's different when it comes to gramps he's a hashira of course I haven't been able to beat him yet but i feel like that time is getting close.

Its only been 4 years since i asked gramps to train me in the way of the demon slayers, meaning I'm now 9yrs old.

Well im still blind but that hasn't been able to discourage me, after all Gyomei is also blind. If i must say the only cheat i was born with is an unparalleled body talent.

It's something like Toji's heavenly restriction , even my master said that its as if i was born with a body destined for martial arts.

This is also what helped me to 'see' my surroundings. If i have to explain, its similar to how inosuke can feel his surroundings with his breathing technique just that mine's passive and greatly increases when i use my breathing techniques. Its also how gyomei uses his sense of hearing and smell to move about.

"Wow kaigaku-san is so strong!"

Yeah another thing I remembered from the series is how i got reborn into the body of kaigaku the disciple that became a demon. Well it was the only logical thing he could do to save himself at that moment because he wasnt strong enough to win against an upper rank! Honestly I don't blame if i was in that situation I'd do the exact same thing after all im not the protagonist and i dont expect to have the greatest defence in the world Plot fucking Armor.

But the thing that got me puzzled is that if kaigaku was as strong as i am now by the time he met that demon he wouldn't have been so helpless that could only mean that my coming here, though unexpected must have been brought about by some kind of process or by some being .

Either way it doesn't matter what matters is what i do with this new life that i have of course immortality would have been a nice thing to have but if its at the cost of my freedom then no.

Whether it is my freedom from someone or freedom under the sun, i like to have all of it of course i dont think i can be nezuko thats why im not taking any chances.

I walked back to gramps room and entered with out knocking he already knows that im coming so theres really no point in doing so.

"I've always told you to knock!" Came his stern voice.

A simle appeared on my face has I retorted " we both know that theres no need for that"

" Really you're getting more disobedient as the years go by"

A calm silence hung between us as i asked "hows your injury"

"Hahahaha" a jovial laugh burst forth

"It'll take more than this to get me"

His bright laugh brought a smile albeit a sad one to my face. A few months ago he battled a lower ranked demon and although he won it wasn't without consequences. On his chest theres a huge scar of the wound that was inflicted and for us demon slayers such wound is akin to out right crippling us.

Thus his abilities were severely weakened. He had to retire as a hasira and since nobody has been able to reach his level of strength in the breathing style he remain the lightning hashira but only in name.

Its good that he tries to be happy despite his obvious regret at not being able to kill those demons.

"Kaigaku." He called out to me pulling me out from my thoughts

He brought out a scroll and opened it

"Inside this scroll contains the method for the awakening of the lightning breathing technique"

"???!!!"

That was something i didnt see in the anime and by the time i looked through I realized the reason why zenitsu is so different from other lighting style practitioners. Remember his hair turned yellow whereas on a normal circumstance you would be fried why such Thunder strike. Unintentionally he had already undergone the awakening process for the breathing stlye.

And thats why i find myself on this mountain

"I've watch you for so long and I believe that if anyone could go through this process then its you. Even i have not been able to get to this stage my master once tried but unfortunately he met his end."

Thats what he said, which means that i would be among the few persons in so long that will attempt this awakening process.

This also make me marvel at zenitsu's talent.

But in the scroll its stated that this method should be carried out periodically insteadd of once since the awakening process is actually more of a way to cultivate the body using the natural lighting to stimulate body cells increasing vitality and human tenacity.

"What the hell is this do inlook like some kind of immortal cultivator!!" I sighed with exasperation but alas there is proof as the one who created this technique was hailed as a being on par with Yoriichi. Then why couldn't he beat muzan the answer is very straightforward- lifespan! Muzan outlived him and so ge had to put down this method hopping that some one would inherit his technique.

Its rainy and i'm currently at the highest point on this mountain. Taking in a deep breath following the breathing technique i stayed there meditating. The most absurd thing about this awakening method was that there was no distinct way to actually do it!!

You just have to stay under the rain tense your muscules and wait to be stricken by lightning!!!!

"Hah, here goes nothing"

-Crack!-

-BOOM-

I could feel it

But it hurts so bad. I had to resist the urge to scream constantly taking in deep breaths through the technique it was somewhat miraculous but i could feel that with every breath instead of being hurt by the lightning it was strengthening me not by much but it was still there

-BOOM!-

Another one struck me this time it was much bearable

-Hiss-

I suck… i took in another breath energy coursing through my body by the time the storm pass, well needless to say my clothes were gone but I… I was reborn

"Hahhahahahhahahah"
