Test Drive!

I looked at the dagger with a sense of amazement, as the floor around me laid dead monsters. The castle I was in was made out of pure ice, as I pulled my dagger out of the Ice Queen's heart. I was on the first floor of a tower that spawned near Jack's house. It seems like this tower was Ice Based, which is pretty rare considering Ice was a Semi-Primal element. 「73 Points have been earned from slaughtering the monsters of this floor!」Not half bad I guess, considering most of my point collection disappeared in making the dagger.

"Wh-who the hell are you!?" A bull faced Cryomancer readied his strongest attack. It seems like I've missed one. 「Blood Freeze level 4!」"ha! You're dead now, human!"

I stood still and gave a blank stare, as the Ice completely froze over all the blood in my body.

The Cryomancer looked on confusingly and activated 「Temperature Read level 2」

"That's impossible! Your body temperature has dropped well below Thirty Fahrenheit! Your organs should've stopped working due to the fact that no blood are traveling through your body!"

"My blood is purely ornamental."

"Wh-what!?"

I stared at him and threw my 「Adaptive Dagger」at the Cryomancer, with him putting up a wall of ice to attempt to block it. Meanwhile I stared at the dagger with 「Tracking Eyes level 1」and opened my system messages.

「Adaptive Dagger has been infused with low tier Hell Flame! It became Hell's Dagger! It became a B- ranked!」

The dagger completely melted a hole and passed through the ice without any problems.

The Cryomancer gasps as the dagger stabs through his heart. He slowly started coughing out blood with a shocked face.

As his body fall to the floor, I slowly walked towards his dead body and pulled out the dagger. I checked the system message again. 「Adaptive Dagger F- rank」I think I understand what it does now. A wooden chest appeared in front of me, and it opened and shined with gold.

「You have gained 1 point!」

Haaah... being a human that can't harvest points by the Demon King's Authority is sure hard. If all the rewards are like this, there's a reason why even a hundred points are much for Jack.

However, chests like those do give out some other items that would be hard to get normally.

I reached into the chest with no expectations yet it still managed to drag it to the ground. 「You have gained: Dirty Old Trousers F-, Elemental Necklace (broken) F- and Basic Iron Sword (Badly Damaged) f-」

But to be fair, this is a newly generated Tower and the first stage. There should be better stuff at the top of it.

A few hours later, I was on stage 50, I grumbled in frustration. All I've been getting are trash items. The best I got was 17 low tier Demon Orbs. I grumpily munched on them while trying to find the boss. My power barely rised. I think I'm at the limit of the power of my race.

Suddenly, I hear a demon roar. That must be the boss. I sprinted towards the source of the noise. Every 10 rounds the rewards are better. Fifty is my lucky number, so lets do this. The pure white snow demon ape charged towards me and he was around a hundred times bigger than me. It's a boss all right. He slammed the floor, sending shockwaves across the room. Let's have some fun this time. I also have some tests to do... I lowered my aura power to slightly below his, B+ power. I blocked the shockwave while it knocked me back.

It roared while charging at me. I jumped out of the way and slashed my knife across his arm. It was too shallow. I shuddered and blocked. As I predicted, he swung his fist and launched me across the room. I coughed out blood as the ice wall shatter with the force of my body.

Yeah, I'm done. "Go to hell!" I threw the knife right at the the ape as he erupts in hell fire.

Due to the severity of the situation, the dagger truly shines.

「Hades's Hellfire has been activated! Rank: ??? Unmeasurable!」the ape dies instantly as his body burns to nothing but ash within two seconds. The knife ended up wedged between the ice castle walls.

I sighed. I can get it later. For now I'll have to check my reward. As I casually scroll down the list, I got a high tier Demon Orb. Not too shabby. I pocketed it in my inventory while throwing out other trash items the tower is giving me.

「You've gotten the rewards for the 51st stage!」 another chest popped out in front of me. I looked at it confusingly. What?

「You've gotten the rewards for the 52th stage!」Huh?

「You've gotten the rewards for the 53rd stage!」I looked in front of me.

As I turn my head up, it was as if cold water was poured down my face.

The entire place is burning down with pitch black flames.

I stood there in shock as the dagger burned the entire Ice tower to the ground.

「You've gotten the rewards for the 100th stage!」

「You've cleared the tower within 6 hours! Bonus rewards will apply!」

"W-what!?" The ground below me started to crumble as I slipped. I created wings with my mist and I slowly floated down.

As I reached the ground, I spotted my dagger laying on a pile of shattered ice.

I walked over and picked up the dagger as a voice rang out from the dagger,

"When are you going to feed me, you stupid man!"

I dropped it in surprise.

"Don't try to hide it, I saw you munching on those demon orbs!"

It morphed into a human form. Wait a minute, wasn't that one of those K-Pop boy's looks that I saved before!? Except for the fact that he looks like a 9 year old kid. He even started speaking in Korean. "C'mon ahjussi" he spoke in a enchanting tone, fully armed with his face and puppy eyes. "Can I get some food please?"
