POV DESMOND

Nathaniel led me to the car and opened the door to let me in. I climbed into the car and wondered where he could be taking me. I knew he didn't want us to go far from the safe house. But I didn't know anything else that was out here.

Nathaniel got into the driver's seat and turned on the car, blasting the heat for me. Nathaniel drove slowly until we were back on the regular roads. He took a few turns and slowed down again as we went down what looked like an abandoned road.

"Where are we going?" I asked. It was so dark outside that I couldn't see anything around us. I could see that we were near the water but there were no streetlights for me to discern anything else.

Before he could respond, he stopped the car. I looked out the front window and saw a lighthouse. There were no other cars around and the building looked old.
