Alex and her graduation spech and Jays birthday

Today will be Alex's big day. She has her middle school graduation speech.

I still remember when she found out a few days ago.

"YES! YES! YES! FUCK THAT BASTARD SANJAY PATEL", that was the best sentence I have heard of Alex so far. 

It would be Sanjay Patel who would be taking the speech, but that guy was attacked by his own robot a few weeks ago and missed classes. Due to that Alex surpassed him and ended up as the valedictorian.

I am currently getting myself ready for the celebration. 

I chuckled to myself as I remembered that on Alex's high-school graduation, Phil and Claire ran towards Alex's high school as the gate of Jay wouldn't open.

While putting on my suit in front of the mirror I suddenly heard Claire screaming from my garden.

"Ethan! Are you there?"

I went towards my backyard and indeed saw Claire and Phil there. 

"Ethan, please open up"

I opened the door and let them in.

"What's going on guys?", I asked them in confusion.

"Jay's gate is malfunctioning", Phil told me.

I suddenly realized that the episode wasn't in Alex's high school, but a middle-school graduation speech.

"Here take any car you see. Just be careful", I said pointing to a bowl of all my car keys. I didn't worry that a burglar would come in here and steal anything as I had one of the best security systems. Well only in the house. I realized that I should too install some in my garden and driveway.

"Thanks Ethan", Claire thanked me

"Ok, bye. See u later. I am going now"

After that, I stepped into one of the cars and drove towards Alex's middle school.

It didn't take long and I arrived there.

I saw Haley behind the stage and went towards her.

"Hi Haley", I said hugging her.

"Hi Ethan"

"Hi Ethan", I heard two greetings and saw Alex behind Haley coming forth.

"Hey Alex. Nervous?", I asked her.

"No, I am only excited", she answered.

"That's good"

"We and Haley will be going towards our seats. Your parents will be coming soon. Your grandpa's gate malfunctioned and Claire and Phil borrowed one of my cars after coming over", I told Alex as I saw her looking at the seats.

"That's good", Alex heaved a sigh of relief.

Me and Haley went towards our seats and after a few minutes, Phil and Claire came towards us.

"Thanks, Ethan", Claire said hugging me.

Soon after Jay and the others also came.

We all listened to Alex's speech. It didn't take long and everything was finished.

We all gathered together and went to a restaurant to eat. 

It was a nice day.

~2 weeks later~

Jay's birthday is today.

I bought him a fishing rod as I know he loves fishing.

Suddenly I received a call.

It was from Haley.

"Ethan we need your help", Haley said.

"What did you do again?"

"We originally wanted to make a video for Grandpa due to last year being not the best. Well, we made a video of everyone, but it is complete trash. Could you please help us?", Haley begged.

"Ok, I am coming"

"Thanks, Ethan"

I went towards the driveway and drove towards the Dunphys with one of my cars.

After ringing the doorbell Haley immediately opened the door.

She took my hand and dragged me towards the kitchen.

"Come, we need your help", she pleaded.

"With what are we working here?", I asked.

"Complete trash", Alex answered.

I looked at the videos and came up with a good idea.

"If I remember correctly Jay's favorite song is Midnight Train to Georgia, right?", I asked them.

"Yes. He loves that song", this time it was Luke who answered.

"How about you guys record yourselves singing that song? Meanwhile, I will be letting everyone in your family tap dance through a special software", I told them.

"Why tap dance and how?", Luke asked curiously.

"It is Jay's favorite dance and I will do that through a special software as I already said"

Afterwards I called a recording studio and told them that the three of them would be coming soon.

They drove towards the studio while I edited the footage and really let everyone do a tap dance.

About two hours later they came back.

I listened to the audio and was stunned.

"Wow, Luke and Haley, you both are really good singers", I was amazed.

Alex wasn't too bad, but she wasn't as good as her siblings.

I put the audio into the video I edited and uploaded everything into a USB-stick which I gave to Haley.

"Thanks, Ethan", she said kissing me.

After that I drove home again and did nothing till it was time for Jay's birthday party.

I went over to their house and rang the doorbell.

"Hola Ethan"

"Hola Gloria"

I walked in and saw I was the first one there.

I walked up to him and greeted him.

"Happy birthday Jay. Here is my present", I said giving him his present.

"Thanks"

He said while opening it up.

"Is that the new one from St. Croix?", Jay asked excitedly.

I nodded.

He thanked me afterward and soon after the rest of the family came soon after.

Jay accepted everyone's presence. Though there weren't many as Claire and Mitchell for example were chased by a dog in the place where they wanted to take the present and couldn't do anything.

"That is our present grandpa. Come to the couch and enjoy it", Luke, Haley, and Alex said together.

We all went towards the couch and watched it.

Jay seemed very happy about the cover they made and hugged everyone.

It was a happy evening for him. Especially as Manny was waiting outside in the pool with a fishing boat going "fishing" with Jay.

It was an enjoyable evening.
