Chapter 28: Annoying Rascal

POV: Celestina Aurora

"Alright then. Let me just fetch my notebook in my bag so I can list down the things we need for school." Lawrence said to me, stopping for a moment to grab something on his bag.

"Hey! Wait up!" We then hear yelling behind us. We turned around and to my surprise. It was Diana yelling in the distance.

"LET'S GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE!" Lawrence signaled me to run. I turned around as I see Diana reaching towards us before finally following Lawrence in an attempt to hide from the rampaging beast.

"GET BACK HERE YOU TWO!" We can hear Diana shouting at the top of her lungs as she chased us. We hid in a nearby alleyway between the rooms, near the garbage bins to avoid her.

"Why are we hiding from her again? I don't really see anything particularly threatening with her." I asked Lawrence who was crouching beside the garbage can to hide.

"That bitch is so-" Lawrence's explanation was interrupted as we heard a whisper behind our backs. "Found ya." Diana menacingly whispered behind us, making us both jump from our hiding place. "ECCK!"

"You know it's no use to hide when I'm around right? My ears can hear really long distances, just you guys mumbling here can make me hear you already. Honestly, I've heard quite a lot of couples in alleyways like these doing some action if you know what I mean." She giggled, naughtily.

Uh. I don't really know what she means but okay... what do you even do in an alleyway if you're a couple.

"Leave us alone. You're not welcome here you bitch." Lawrence aggressively lashes out towards her.

"Geez! I'm not really after you or anything, actually." She pounces towards me, grabbing the lace of my shirt as she pushed my face against hers. "I'm actually into Celestina. How about a fun session in my room, ditch him for me got it?"

"I... I... um.." My body started to sweat and my face turned bright red.. IS SHE FLIRTING WITH ME?! ACK! I stumbled over my words unable to answer her until she puts her finger in my lips. "Come on, you don't have to say yes. I already know yo-"

Lawrence strikes a punch at Diana's direction, with quick reflexes, she dodges it and keeps a safe distance. "Get away from my sister." Lawrence threatened her.

"Ugh. You are so not fun and here I thought you could satisfy me. Too bad you aren't exactly into girls." Diana chuckled a little, showing her tongue towards Lawrence, making him boil with anger.

"What do you want you rat scallion? You are getting on my nerves." Lawrence crosses his arms, defensively looking at her every move.

Diana smiled, posing carefreely. "You mentioned that you need help with your school supplies right? I'm here to help you! Think of it like an upperclassman helping one another."

"Like I'm buying that crap. Honestly, what can you even teach us? You look like a hoodlum." Lawrence protested to the idea.

I really don't understand why Lawrence has some sort of hatred towards Diana. I mean like this is the first time they met one another so surely he shouldn't be aggressive to a person he just met right? Like I'm very confused.

"That's not a very nice thing to say, dear. Although..." She puts her finger on her lip, making a seductive pose. "If you want me to teach something. I'll do it..."

"Die in a hole please," Lawrence responded nonchalantly as he started to walk out of the alleyway, passing her by, I followed along as Diana stood there in silence.

Did telling Diana to die in a hole made her stop? I'm honestly surprised that something like that. Stopped her from doing her mischief. She's been the type to not listen to what other people say.

We continued to walk towards the shop, with Lawrence navigating with the map on his hand. I looked behind us, as Diana is walking with her hands on her pockets. Walking closer to us.

"Sup bitches." She taps my shoulder.

"Dear lord please help me..." Lawrence's eyes narrowed towards Diana. "Why are you following us again? Didn't I tell you to stop following us."

"I'm not really following you. I'm heading to the school supplies store as well! So technically I'm going there on my own choice. It just so happens that you are also going there." She said to us as an excuse.

"Well, whatever. Honestly at this point do what you want." Lawrence responded without any more energy to argue.

"What? You're not going to argue with me?" Diana asked surprised at Lawrence's response.

Why does it feel like she isn't happy that Lawrence is not going to argue with her anymore? Does she really just love arguing with people? I'll never really know what's going on in that girl's head.

"Honestly, I've gone quite tired, trying to instruct you over and over. Like an annoying rascal. You don't necessarily listen to reason. So instead of wasting my energy on you. I'll just let you come and ignore you." Lawrence explained to her.

"Aw... now, where's the fun in that. She pouted. "Honestly I liked hearing you shout and scream. It brings joy to me." She chuckled.

SO SHE WAS REALLY TRYING TO PISS OFF LAWRENCE BUT WHAT'S HER PROBLEM. WHY DOES SHE HAVE THE NEED TO ENJOY PEOPLE'S SHOUTS AND SCREAMS?!

"You are a rare specimen, Diana. Something that I can't even comprehend." Lawrence responded totally at a loss for words.

I can't believe it! Even Lawrence's a loss for words over Diana... the Lawrence I know before was able to make a logical deduction of a person's traits and potential threat levels but for DIANA damn. She gave him a run for his money.

"Actually, I was just joking with yall. I knew for a fact that Lawrence was judging me and trying to read my mind. I just became more annoying so it interrupted his logical analysis. Pretty cool right?" She chuckled, putting her arms around her head.

WAIT? SO IT WAS HER PLAN TO ANNOY LAWRENCE SO THAT HE WOULD BE SO CONFUSED TO READ HER?

"What? So that was your intention?" Lawrence inquired her. Turning to her with a confused expression on his face.

"People tend to hide their true feelings about me. That's why I need to act a certain way. To really know what they truly feel. It's kind of a thing I got used to all the time!" She responded, putting her hand to her mouth.
