Chapter 63

“There is no one here, no one saw it.” Elijah chuckled. “You fell down the stairs when you tried to escape when they brought you in, don’t you remember? Perhaps you hit your head harder than we thought.”

“You bitch!”

Kol growled. Bitch? No one called Elijah a bitch.

He wanted to curse as the sour scent of fear coming off Elijah grew more intense—anger and lust, the combination Elijah feared the most. “We’re leaving, babe. Is there something you want to say to him, do it now because you won’t ever see him again.” A silver of fear showed in Varg’s eyes, but he tried to hide it.

“No, I think I’m good. I only wanted to see him locked up.” They walked toward the door.

“You won’t find Beau without me!”

Varg had no intention of telling them where the familiar was, but Kol hesitated anyway. “Where is he?”

“Will you free me if I tell you?”
