" Try to activate your quirk, just follow your instincts, nothing to worry about. "

A smiling doctor told a four year old child, the child was currently inside a glass room used to test quirks.

" I can't do it, I think I need to touch someone to activate it. "

Said the boy, his grey eyes looking at the area his mother and father were standing on.

His father immediately looked at the doctor who nodded and gave permission to approach the child, he wasn't showing signs of danger, it should be fine.

Sliding the door open, the boy's father walked in and crouched before the boy, rubbing his blonde hair.

" Go ahead champ. "

The boy smiled and touched his fathers extended hand and then-

" ...So.. What just happened? "

Asked the mother who saw nothing happen and was quite anxious that her child might be quirkless, because that was not something she would ever hope upon her child.

" Hmm, while nothing seems to happen there is no need to fret Mrs Monoma. "

Looking towards the kid, the doctor gave another harmless smile, to calm the kid down.

" Neito, you have already made contact, try to follow your instincts again. "

The child nodded with a serious expression and then spoke, startling everyone.

" I think I can do this.. "

His dad was the one who was most shocked and happy when Neito spoke, because Neito spoke in his mother's voice, not Neito's own.

" Hahaha, Neito must have inherited my Quirk doctor, Mockingbird, I can copy anyone's mannerisms and speech after listening to them speak a whole sentence. "

The father, Mr Monoma spoke the last line in the doctor's voice, to showoff his quirk.

But just as his mother breathed a sigh of relief, the doctor interrupted them.

" While that seems to be the case, I do not understand why he needed to touch you for it to work, there might be something more to it. "

Looking towards Mrs Monoma, the doctor nodded and she too went inside quickly.

Bending down, she touched her child herself, to activate his quirk again.

" Now what do you feel like? "

Asked the doctor with interest, and Neito pursed his lips, this doctor sure was thorough, he wasn't letting go of anything.

" I can do this. "

Said Neito as his hair began floating, making his mother smile ear to ear, because that was her quirk, body shaper, she could shape any part of her body at will.

" That seems to be your quirk Mrs. Monoma if I am not mistaken. I see. "

Said the doctor, making Neito shake his head, he already knew it was impossible to hide one's true quirk due to the strict regulations, doctors were always careful in their checks.

While it was all formality, the way he was being tested was still a real pain, but there was a sliver lining, at least he didn't have to worry about having some weird quirk.

Because he already knew his Quirk the day he was reborn as Neito Monoma.

" Copy, I think that is your son's Quirk Mr and Mrs Monoma, a very versatile Quirk. "

Said the doctor while noting everything down, he needed to update this new Quirk on the official list.

But before a threat level is assigned to it, he needed to check the limits of this new quirk.

" I would like to conduct some more tests if you don't mind. "

Said the doctor, and his parents nodded, because they knew this was the rule.

Neito, being four and having nothing much to hide, also went ahead with it, anyway, he can always improve his quirk beyond it's base limitations.

And so a whole hour passed and the Monoma family was finally driving back home, they were pretty happy, and his mother was bragging about him on her phone.

" Yes, my son has the copy quirk, the doctor said my husband's ability to mimic other's manners and voices and my ability to morph my body merged to create this new Quirk. Yeah I know, Neito is really happy! "

Neito meanwhile was looking out the window while playing with his mother's loose hair in his hands.

No, he wasn't so bored that he needed to do something so stupid, he was infact testing his new Quirk.

' I remember Neito touching someone's hair and activating his copy ability, it seems I have that too, so it was not a trained thing but a default ability of the copy quirk. '

While this was a very small thing, this made a world of difference to Neito, because a stray hair was something he could always have on hand.

This solved the biggest problem of his quirk right at the beginning, the copy quirk was useless when the copied abilities expired

' But with this, I don't have to worry about not having a quirk to work with, now all I need to do is train with it. '

And that wasn't too difficult either, the moment he was reborn as Neito, he had already begun to think ways he could use this quirk to it's full potential.

This was a very amazing quirk, and if he somehow managed to awaken it and get rid of the time limit, he would be a better version of all for one.

' While that guy needs to steal quirks and deal with the ghosts of who's quirks he stole, I have no such limitations, whatever I copy is my very own. '

Neito wasn't overly worried that he couldn't do it either, there was already someone who had managed to awaken a similar ability in the original book, that being Himoko Toga.

' She could permanently transform into and use the quirks of whoever she had copied the appearance of, without any limits, it's really strong. '

That was the case when her quirk awoke, while Neito couldn't copy appearances like her, he could copy quirks by default, so he figured he should also have a similar effect as her when awakened, their quirk's were pretty similar after all.

But all that came later, quirk was a muscle, he needed time to build it, and now was not that time, so.

" Dad, I want to eat out today. "

Said Neito while his dad laughed and agreed pretty quickly, today was Neito's special day, he barely ever acted childish so giving him this much was but a must.

" Sure thing champ, let's go. "

With that Neito relaxed, he was not someone who liked to rush, he already had a plan in hand, after today, he would start implementing it one step at a time.

For now though, he needed his share of fries, he barely got to eat out after his rebirth, he was going to enjoy this today.
