Chapter 1: The accident

I'm your typical 11pm-7am night owl health care assistant, I travel all around the province for shift bid. My work revolves around hospitals and old people homes, its been 4 years since I started this job after meeting my significant other. I was a sitter in the city, but the pay is worst like shit, bosses complains about performances, but the pay they offer is nothing but garbage.

Over time, I lost my ways of working in that company. Then, one night, I saw this asian looking lady in the mall walking with my lady cousin, and that moment on, I knew she was the one. So chessy, right!? I know I really can't believe it, but it does. It just happened, and now I'm here married and had a daughter with her.

Couple years went by after the marriage my wife introduce me to my current job now and she said that the pay is way more higher than what I'm making now, so I gave it a try after a couple of years I never quit and tried to work more than possible and daang I never thought I could get at most 2 grand a week with a day off and from then on I go to work 6 days a week for 4 years. My life finally moved more than it should, but it all came crushing down after the accident

At the night of my shift I was driving to a hospital 5 hrs away from our place, that's one of the rarest shift bid I got which I only usually travel up to 2 hrs as the pay they offered was twice the norm, I tried to grab it before anyone else does.

My plan was to work this shift for this week, and I will have a day off for 3 days straight and spend time with my kid at an arcade, which we always go to bond. However luck isn't on my side in this trip this time, the road is pretty bare no snow, no ice, the wind is way normal than last winter, the surrounding is clear but then out of the blue while looking at the road in-front of me, I noticed a light like object from the distance up in the sky like it was descending way too fast and its creating a strong gust of wind which I decided to stop the vehicle at the side of the road and watch the phenomenon happening from the distance.

The snow from my surrounding started to get carried by the wind and now its blocking my view, couple minutes after the scene cleared up but what welcomed me was not a clear landscape but from what it seems a silhouette of a metal man hurling towards my vehicle at high speed, Out of reflex, I immediately placed the gear stick to drive and stepped on the gas pedal like no tomorrow and tried to move my vehicle out of the way. In my stupidity, instead of going forward, I wasn't sure why my vehicle made a donut instead, then the object crash at the side of my vehicle and made the car flew rolling few meters away.

My life flashed through my eyes and saw all the good and bad memories I made with my life, and as soon as the rolling stopped and the vehicle was upside down I woke up from a jolt of pain through the side of my abdomen, as a piece of metal currently lodge-in. I tried to move and unlock my jammed seatbelt, and from every move, I made the pain from my sides got a lot worse. I pushed myself to the fullest and tried to get out of the situation I'm currently in, and through my effort, I am able to get out crawling away from the vehicle as fast as I could. I lately noticed that both my legs sustained some injury but was not broken as I kept crawling using all my limbs away from my car, and luckily, I did as the car exploded after a while.

I thought to myself, I'm lucky enough not to get burned to death, but I still might die from blood loss from my body full of injury also the hospital is a few hours away from my location, and no cars are currently insight.

A distance away from the burning car, a metal man is currently trying to get itself out of the dirt, and in no time the metal man now standing on the ground surveying the area and the situation.

A red light suddenly engulfs the whole area for a few seconds

A robottic voice was heard from the metal man standing at a distance, speaking in the english language

As the words came out from the metallic man, I tried to roll down the ditch and hide myself in the snow, but before I could do just that, my sight and all my senses disappeared.

After the metal man declared that it must not leave traces of the incident, it immediately went to the wounded man's location from the scan it did a while back at that moment the metal man's right hand disappeared and went inside the fore-arm and transformed into a canon facing the man on the snowy ground. A silent and deadly particle erased the body's existence from the scene and also made the burning vehicle vanish into thin air, then the metallic man started to fade as like it was never there.
