A battle won

"Sir Sokovia is now several thousand feet in the air..a fall at this rate will be detrimental to life on the planet." The Avengers were busily battling the hordes of robots that were trying to get to Ultron doomsday machine, and with each passing second, Sokovia kept rising higher and higher in altitude.

Thor and Cap joined forces and executed many combos, decimating the robots with the shield, hammer and the power of lightning.

Bruce had joined the fight at some point. Turning himself into the Hulk, he smashed robots on all sides with monstrous strength and immense ferocity.

Wanda and Pietro, the Maximoff twins were on a rampage; Pietro was destroying the robots with immense momentum from moving at supersonic speed. Each of his punches carried enough force to shatter steel, and his body left a bluish white trail on the battlefield.

Clint and Nat although exhausted, fought the robots with everything they had. Clint's arrows never missed a shot, while Nat's electrified batons were making quick work of the opponents.

Stark and Vision faced Ultron in an epic battle as they took to the skies. Caught up in a 2 on 1 situation, Ultron wasn't able to put up much of a fight especially against Vision's energy beams which were fired directly from the Mind Gem.

He was quickly overpowered by the two and hurled to the ground, crashing with a loud bang.

"Uh you scum, you dare to try to ruin my plan?!" Ultron was enraged. He immediately engaged his thrusters and blasted into the old church at full speed.

"You took my vision away from me.." The moment his gaze landed on Nat, he remembered her and immediately fired multiple energy beams towards her.

"Nat watch out!!!" Clint roared out, but he wasn't fast enough to save her. Even Nat herself wasn't able to react to the situation due to how sudden it happened. Before she even realized the beams were right in front of her chest, ready to send her to the afterlife.

Seeing this, Pietro instantly zoomed towards her, leaving a behind a bluish white trail, as he zoomed forward at full speed, wanting to save her.

However, when he was a few meters away from her, a golden blue lightning bolt instantly arrived, grabbed her and blasted off to another location, causing the energy beam to hit nothing but air.

"I-I'm okay, y-you saved me..." Nat's eyes immediately widened in shock, seeing herself completely fine and more importantly still alive. Her gaze was fixated on the handsome young man before her who was covered in bloodstains and lightning streaks.

"W-What happened to you? Are you okay?" Seeing the bloodstains on his suit, she gently caressed his cheek and asked with a frown.

Duke nodded and sighed.

He then turned around and blasted off, reaching Ultron in the blink of an eye and unleashed a heavy flying kick which hurled him flying as he crashed into a wall.

Before Ultron could even process what was happening, he was grabbed by the Hulk and smashed multiple times on the floor, leaving large craters all around. Thor then smiled, raised Mjolnir and unleashed a large thunderbolt which smashed into Ultron's figure. Duke also stretched his palms, and unleashed a lightning beam of his own, followed by Stark and Vision who landed later on.

Ultron was sent flying with parts of his metal body destroyed. Seeing the battle was lost, he dragged his near destroyed body towards a small jet, the same one the Avengers had arrived in, buckled up and drove off.

Seeing Nat was finally saved, Clint heaved a sigh of relief, before he reacted fast and stabbed an incoming robot with an arrow. However, the next moment, he saw a jet flying towards him shooting bullets from the machine gun underneath it. Unfortunately he wasn't fast enough to dodge bullets and could only close his eyes to meet his end.

Pietro snarled and blasted forward once more, leaving a bluish white trail, as he sped towards Clint who was about to be riddled with holes in his body in a few moments.

Pietro unfortunately wasn't fast enough to save both himself and Clint at the same time, and within that split second he planned on sacrificing himself for Clint, a golden blue lightning streak grabbed both of them by the arms, before blasting off leaving sparks in its wake.

"Uughhh crap." Ultron snarled and turned the jet around, seeing he wasn't able to accomplish his goal of at least taking down one member of the Avengers.

The jet flew off at full speed, however, a few miles away, a large figure landed inside the jet with a massive leap, roared and grabbed Ultron's body from within the drivers seat. "Oh for Christ's sake..." Ultron cursed, but was hurled out the jet, as he crashed into a building.

"You okay?" Duke looked at Pietro whose face was riddled with mixed emotions before saying. It took Pietro a while to come back to his senses, as he nodded and said.

"Stark, what do we do about Sokovia?" Everyone was currently gathered, as they began to plan how they were going to stop the apocalypse 2.0.

Cap then asked Stark who was the brains of the team.. "Sokovia has been completely uprooted and its foundations destroyed. We can't drop this thing..." Pietro said.

"He's right. We can't. We have to destroy it. Ultron's doomsday machine is planted at the bottom, if we can destroy that, then it should be able to create a massive charge to destroy the whole thing." Stark said.

"But we need a massive surge of energy to destroy the machine, I don't know how we plan on getting that." Cap replied.

"Speedy, you can do it right?" Stark looked at Duke and asked. Duke sighed and rubbed his temples. "Fine, I'll do it, but I'll need help"

Duke said, as he looked at Pietro.

"Good. The rest of us have to leave before everything explodes. SHIELD left a spare jet, we can use that to get off." Cap said, as the others nodded.

"Vision, search around for any signs of Ultron, the rest of us, we gotta go now." Cap said and instructed, as they run to a jet hidden within a small building a few meters away.

"Hey, are you sure you can do it?" Nat grabbed Duke's hand and looked into his eyes, as she asked with a frown. "I can." Duke nodded. "No dying okay." She softly spoke and kissed him gently on the lips as Duke's eyes widened in shock, after which she left swiftly.

"Hey speedy, this is not the time to be distracted. Save the world first, women later." Seeing Dukes surprised expression, Stark immediately tapped him on the shoulder bringing him out of his stupor, before flying beneath the huge city.

"How fast can you go?" Duke walked to Pietro who was stretching himself and asked. "Uhh Mach 35 give or take...you should be way faster right?" Pietro wiped his palms and said. "My Speed isn't bad, just a little around Mach 400, although if I wanted I could go around the earth in under ten seconds.." Duke shrugged, as Pietro's mouth widened in shock. "H-How possible?" He asked.

"I can, but I only go that fast unless it's an important emergency." Duke added, as he readied himself.

"Alright you two. I'm ready..." Suddenly, Stark's voice rung out in their ears, as they got into a stance. Golden blue lightning began to form around Duke's body, as Pietro's legs were firmly rooted in the ground.

"Go!" With a shout, the two speedsters blasted off at full speed, with Duke in the lead, and Pietro behind him, as they began to circle the entire city over and over again.

Within a few seconds, they built an enormous charge, with momentum, and in a few moments, a loud explosion resounded as the city exploded, raining rocks and sand unto the earth. Duke and Pietro were grabbed by Stark, as he flew them down...
