Ch. 31 - The Great Pretender was discovered!

Watching the incoming head of the hammer, which was so slow when it comes to Leo's vision, he sidestepped and allowed the hammer to pass over where he was from.

"Slow." He uttered beside raising his knee and smashing it against Boss Wolf's stomach.

"Gaaagh!" Spitting out saliva, Boss Wolf was thrown back, colliding with his subordinates who weren't expecting him like a bowling pin.

*Crash!*

*Thud!*

"W-Watch out!" One of the wolves raised his finger and pointed it behind one of his companion.

"Whe-." Just as the wolf turned around where his fellow wolf was trying to point to, he suddenly received a claw-like slash straight to his face.

*Splash!*

Being clawed in the face, the wolf screamed in pain and covered his face, not noticing the shadow that went past him.

"H-He's comin-!?" One of the wolves, upon noticing that they're now being targeted by the 'Legend' Black Panther.

*Slash!*

*Slash!*

'2 down, 19 more to go.' Leo said to himself after watching the wolf that he just attacked, falling down on the ground.

He then continued his assault by attacking the nearby 2 other wolves, kicking them both on their chest.

At this moment, Leo was like a predator hunting a colony of rabbits, their blades not even being able to touch an inch of his hair.

*Boom!*

*Thud!*

With how steep and narrow the alley is, the wolves cannot escape, with Leo advancing, they're like a herd awaiting their inevitable deaths, even though Leo is technically not killing them.

Not because he doesn't want to, but he just felt unnecessary. Also, he doesn't even know if Master Oogway is watching over him 24/7, that old turtle is just too mysterious for Leo to comprehend.

Unknown to Leo, the old turtle that he's referring to is indeed watching over him now.

"That fighting style.....it looks familiar." Master Oogway said to himself while floating in the air, using the darkness of the night to hide himself from anyone who might see him.

Down on the ground was Leo who was decimating the pack of wolves, the poor animals don't even stand a chance against him as Leo is fast, agile, strong and lastly, his senses are top-notch that even Master Oogway himself was impressed.

Although sharp senses are just one of the characteristics of some animals like tigers or wolves, Leo's senses are an entirely different thing.

If Master Oogway didn't know better, he would've thought that Leo can somehow predict the future.

".....Is he really 'that' guy I met hundreds of years ago?" Master Oogway pondered. This is the first time he was like this and he would be lying if he didn't like it, he likes mystery after all, it is both exciting yet dangerous. Something that Master Oogway went through in the past and what made him who he is now.

"And that Po....he still has his own destiny." And with that, Master Oogway gave Leo one last look before flying back to the Jade Palace.

After defeating all of the wolves who now lay on the ground like corpses, Leo sniffed.

'Earlier, I felt like someone was watching me. Or maybe talking about me.' He whispered to himself.

"Y-You monster! Wait till my Lord hears about this." Boss Wolf, who was finally recovering from the knee strike he received earlier which took all of the air from his lungs, shakily pointed his finger at Leo, all while using threatening words.

"That's the reason why you're not laying on the ground like them." Leo said, referring to the passed out wolves on the ground.

"What do you want from Lord Shen?" Boss Wolf asked, while coughing, clearing out the excess saliva in his throat.

"Nothing. I'm just on my grind right now." Leo answered with a stretch.

"Grind? What's that?" Boss Wolf raised an eyebrow, not knowing what Leo was trying to say.

What does he mean by grind?

Isn't grinding only done in kitchen?

Why is he on the grind?

So many questions were left unanswered in Boss Wolf's mind as he knew that even if he asked, he probably wouldn't get an answer.

The only thing on his mind right now is to live out alive right now.

"I-If you want Lord Shen, I can take you to him. I-I'm the only one who knows where he stays." Boss Wolf stuttered while speaking, indicating just how much he values his life due to his nervousness.

Even willing to betray his own boss just to save his own ass.

Which Leo looks down on but he can't blame him at the same time, the previous him might do the same if put in the same situation.

"Well, it's still early in the night, why don't you just mark it down in this map." Leo then threw the map at Wolf Boss's face.

Not feeling offended by it, Boss Wolf gladly took the map and used his claw to mark a location.

Taking it from him, Leo squinted his eyes upon seeing that the location was in the middle of between a ridge mountain and the Gongmen City.

"You think I'll believe this?" Leo glared at Boss Wolf who gulped his saliva hard.

*Slap!*

Rolling the map, Leo slapped the map very hard at Boss Wolf's cheeks.

"Ah! Please! It's the real thing! Believe me!"

"No, I don't."

*Slap!*

"I'm not lying!"

*Slap!*

"That's real!"

*Slap!*

"Fuweassee! Am felling the futhh!"

Seeing the swelling face of the Boss Wolf, Leo finally smiled in satisfaction.

"Good. I thought you were lying." Leo said before unrolling the

'All of that very hard slaps that my face swelled, just because you thought I was lying!?' Boss Wolf yelled in his mind.

"Now, go to sleep." With that, Leo smacked his foot soles on Boss Wolf's face, putting him to sleep.

"I don't know where to put you, so I'll just have to leave you somewhere out of this Valley." Leo said then looked at the weird looking watch on his hand, on its screen was displaying the word 'True'.

This is one of the Gacha draws that he got, a rare Item that tells him whether someone he's talking to is lying or not.

As for why he did all those? Since he's letting Boss Wolf alive, in which he would definitely tell Lord Shen about him, Leo wanted to make himself appear as a terrifying enemy that Lord Shen must be aware of.

Fighting Lord Shen in his full strength is something he must do if he wants to earn real experience in fighting after all, training, sparring and defeating average thugs won't give him good enough battle experience.

What he needs is to fight someone on equal terms or maybe face life-or-death situation. Though he hopes that he won't have to resort to the latter.

After taking the Boss Wolf out in the forest away from the Valley of Peace, Leo continued roaming in the streets, once again instilling terror across the Valley's thugs and bandits.

Their 'legend' Baba Yaga is back!

"Nyam....Nyam...." In the middle of the night, Po suddenly found himself waking up due to hunger.

This is something that he's experiencing normally, almost every night.

The symptoms? He's biting the air as if he's eating it even though there's no food in front of his face.

"Wha-.....sigh, again?" Upon realizing that he woke up in the middle of the night full of hunger in his belly, Po sighed before getting up.

However, he soon realized that he was alone. No sign of Leo's presence around him.

'Where could he have gotten to in the middle of the night?' Po questioned this to himself.

Just as Po is about to get up, the window to his behind was suddenly opened.

Turning around, he saw a shadow behind the curtain.

'A burglar!' With this in mind, Po panicked and didn't know what to do.

Maybe he could....

Opening the window, Leo looked around the room and saw Po sleeping in the weirdest sleeping position he had ever seen

Who sleeps with their tongue out?

Ignoring Po, Leo removed his mask and black robe and took the mask in his inventory.

Then folded the black robes before putting it under his bed.

Unknown to Leo, Po silently opened his other eyes to peek at him.

'H-Huh? What were those!?' Po was having a panic in his mind when he saw the Black Panther mask disappearing from Leo's hands.

Although he was shocked upon discovering that Leo was Black Panther that he has been idolizing all these time but seeing the mask disappear is an entirely different thing!

It's like seeing real magic for the first time!

'Is Leo a magician?' Po made a guess in his mind, which might seem odd, but it is plausible enough after seeing the mask disappearing.

At this moment, Leo was already lying down on his bed, breathing in and out, controlling his breathing in order to sleep much faster, oblivious to the fact that Po just had two bombs dropped on his sleepy head.

'Leo is the Black Panther.'

'Leo is a magician.'

'Leo is a Magical Black Panther.'

'Should I surprise him and wake up? No, that's a bad idea.'

'Maybe I could ask for his signature tomorrow?'

'No, that won't do, that would just expose me that I was awake this night.'

While Po was having a turmoil in his mind, the main character in his thoughts was already sound asleep, even having a good dream where he turned into a God that controls the balance of the Multiverse.
