X- Early Morning Disaster
Arakata Hisashi's POV
I visited my family yesterday to celebrate my brother's engagement and I originally planned to stay until tomorrow night but I received an urgent call from the school where I work so I have no choice but to come back today. My family and Nao's family are close with each other so they always search Nao from me whenever I visited and they never forget to give him something for me to bring as soon as I come back.
Carrying a huge box full of desserts and some strawberries, I head straight to Nao's place before even going on my own house to deliver this goods. I knocked a couple of times while trying to call him but there is no response. It is almost 7 a.m. and it is strange for him to be still sleeping because he is the type of person who wakes up everyday at exactly 5 a.m. so I can feel that something is off.
I knocked for the last time before I decided to try opening his door. I am not really sure about his password but I pretty confident that his way of using password is simple. Let's see, if I remember correctly the last code he used during our university days is his birthday.

And it really worked. I don't know if I will be happy to successfully barged in his house or get worried that he will be a victim of robbery and trespassing someday.
"Nao? Nao? Are you in there? I brought you some food from my parents." I slowly walked inside until I reached the kitchen but there is still no presence from anyone inside the house.
Where is he right now? I am sure that he is not in his clinic when I passed by earlier and it is impossible for him to take a stroll in the early morning so is he really still asleep?
I slowly approached the door of his bedroom and noticed that it is not locked so I silently twisted the door knob and opened the door.
What I saw as soon as I looked around was two pairs of feet uncovered by a blanket. I stared at it and took me so long to process the answer to my question 'when did Nao grew another pair of feet?' and I am so embarrassed to even face myself upon realizing my dumb question.
"Nao! wake up!" I pulled half of the blanket and shaked Nao to get up.
"hmmm..ughhh my head still hurts,I want to sleep more." he slapped my hands away and covered his face with a pillow.
Suddenly something slowly rise up behind Nao and then I was shocked to see that it was another person sleeping in same bed with him and when he take off the blanket that covers him, I saw a man.
"What is this noise so early in the morning? " wait this voice, and this face I think I saw his face from before, ah that kid!
"You damn brat! what are you doing here!?" I shouted upon grasping the entire situation.
"What! Arggghhhh!!!" he suddenly became fully awake and was more shocked than me to the point that he stumbled down the bed while pulling the blanket to cover his body.
"Hey what's is this fuzz about so early in the morning?" Nao was also waken by his wild scream and loud crash on the floor.
"Nao please explain what the hell just happened while I was away for just one day?"
"What do you mean?" he looked at me with a confused eyes and seems that he is still half sleeping.
"That! explain to me what happened between you and that brat." I pointed at the kid still sitting at the floor at the other side of his bed.
"What brat?" he slowly turned his head towards the direction I'm pointing to and he have the same reaction with that kid.
"What! Arggghhhh!!!" and he also stumbled down to the other side of the bed and towards me.
"I can explain this, just give me a few minutes to remember everyt..."
RINGGGGGGGGG~
Suddenly we heard an alarm coming from a phone somewhere in the room and the kid suddenly stand up.
"Ahhh! I really need to go to work now or else I'll be late! Shinobu-san let's talk later after I finish my work but for now I really have to go."and then he dashed out of the room while avoiding to even look at me.
Silence covered the whole place while I watched how Nao concentrate in remembering how they end up with that kind of situation.
"Ah I remember now! I was looking for a drinking buddy last night and I coincidently bumped into Suzuki-kun and so I dragged him into a bar and got drunk. I remembered that he also got drunk more than me and ended up throwing up in my bathroom floor before passing out so I decided to let him stay for the night. That's all.
"That's all? Really?"
"Yes, that's all. I think."
"But why did you react like that earlier as if you don't know what happened?"
"Ehh... uhmmm actually I... I'm too drunk too so I feel that half of my memory is blurred."
"So you are not sure if there is something that happened between you and that kid?"
"Ahh no! That is impossible! I won't lay a hand to someone especially a kid even though I'm drunk. I swear it!" somehow I feel a little bad on asking him that kind of question and getting him so worked up and so I let it go.
"Nevermind. Let's just forget this embarrassing morning. I'm just here to deliver the goods my parents sent for you. I put it down on the kitchen but you should keep it in the refrigerator later."
"Ok thanks, wait are you leaving already?"
"Yes, I originally planned to just pass by and drop off the box to you for a few seconds because I have an urgent call at school so I have to go now. Bye."
I left the condominium while still trying to forget the scene I just witnessed then drive straight to the school.
"Mr. Arakata I'm glad you arrive early, the meeting is just about to begin." I saw the school chairman walking in the hallway and then we entered the meeting hall together.
